I've only encountered these extremely blatant cheaters a few times. But when you get hit through 3 forests and over the ridge of 2 hills it's quite obvious they are not legit.
i feel like they play more in lower tiers, saw them a few times - shooting over a flaming and smoking wreck through 3 windows and a bush into my mg port. Like ... im not even mad that they managed to squeeze that shot inot that tiny spot(unless there is also an aimbot for perfect precision) but man whats the point of cover
Yeah, I encountered plenty of these guys. The density of cheaters has been on the rise in the last 2 years. I can play 100 matches during the week and find at least 10 of them with someone who is either blatantly or very suspicious.
Over the ridge is not that hard, specially if you were in a very very common spot. A lot of people that like to use high arc weapons memorize the angle to hit those places. There are ome maps that you can start the match go to a given position coutn to 10 and fire at a specific angle and you always hit something.

I really really hope it doesnt get the LRF, the best part about these derp guns is bullying ww2 heavys, and i dont think the LRF would be a big enough upgrade to warrant it fighting stabilised vehicles every game, especially considering its already REALLY easy to aim
That Japanese reload audio gets me every. single. time. Also, the fact that it doesn't make the same engine noise as the VIDAR and M109 will probably come in handy for catching people off-guard.
Took this thing out for my maiden match, I invested a bit of leftover GE in a few modifications like the ammo and turret/barrel traverse and elevation. My first double-kill collateral on two tanks with a roof shot into one over a destroyed house, and three aircraft shot down. This thing is an absolute beast, I can already tell for myself. Something worth all the hundreds of hours of suffering I've put into the Hard Mode tech tree has finally been added. Thanks for drawing my attention to it, as I had entirely missed it being introduced for some reason.
i still think they need to give arty tanks inderect fire mode, by basicly having it when a light tank spots something if your in a arty it also tells you the range to the target like saying the target is 1km away, that way they can try and fire at the target but they dont directly see like overhead like in WoT so that if there is anything blocking the shot the arty wouldnt know to balance it
The problem is based on distance in this game most modern artillery can't indirect fire, as the type 99 does not effectively have indirect fire till about 5000 meters, the system IRL is designed to hit targets indirectly at 30 KM
Anti cheat is not even present on Linux Also this sound like copium. Bad players always think everyone is cheating. In my entire WT life since 2012 I've seen only 3 cheaters total

There are people that played this for a decade now, and apart from the occasional lucky shot or Gaijin moment some people can really usually tell if something dodgy is going on. Same was the case in BF series. I have over 10 thousand hours in all titles of the Franchise, e-sport, average kd of 3+. Sure, there are better people. But not ones that played the game for 6 hours. So, the other side of the coin is that the cheaters always do and always did want you to think that "mad cuz bad". Thing is, some people are not bad or even average. That's why they troll them the most. Things like .ini editing to hide all foliage? Sound cards showing you on the screen the source of the sound? There were plenty of things like that and the ones we know about are maybe half, at best. And those things happen even before actual paid cheat/private releases.
@@GewelReal i dont think that linux doesnt have anticheat as far as i could tell since on my installation there is an easy anticheat which is localised in the game files (under /home/Games/WarThunder/linux64/easyanticheat_x64.so) as opposed to the kernel since easy anticheat can run on linux, just cant bury itself as deep as it could on windows 10

Sure not every match has cheaters, but I've also played the game since Beta, and I can tell you for certain when a player is snapping to targets, firing through walls, terrain, etc, or has a prop-plane that goes from 600m to 15,000m Altitude vertically in 2 seconds flat without losing any momentum what-so-ever and actually gains speed in doing so, that those are all exploits. Maybe you're less of a gamer than you think yourself to be, but there are certainly a LOT of exploiters this year. Most are in the early tiers and late tiers, often times they're people who bought premium vehicles, a level 7 account, entirely new to game, but there are also many level 60-100's recently cheating. There are loads of channels on youtube and videos posted that even display these cheaters openly to the public for the community to see the scumbags.

Nice, Japan finally gets an upgrade from the type 75 sph. Looks like this is basically an Auf1 which is been one of my favorite tanks. Not as derpy as the type 75 which is nice for some variety in my line up

Yeah, I'm currently running a 5.7 lineup and on average I encounter 4 sus players every battle, more whenever I play arcade for some easy kills for tasks

I think the proxy shells not doing damage is the same thing that makes rockets do no damage to aircraft on direct hits, the server is just not handling it correctly and Gaijin doesn't seem to care about fixing it

You should try swedish bkan 1c. It has 155mm at 7.0 and a 3.2 second reload time. Only have 14 ammo so you need to go to points pretty often. Aside from the ammo amount its really good. Edit: it has no turret but will still remove everything at the br and reloads faster than just about everything at that br. Its works super well even in uptiers. to make it work well in uptiers you need to be good at rangerinding manually based on terrain because all the enemies in uptiers have laser rangefinder. Edit 2: it works well for 7.7 lineups because you get decent CAS at 7.7 for sweden and the zsu-57-2. You also get the strv. It works well.

watched a video from guy who exposes eft cheaters where he interviewed a cheat seller and he very briefly mentioned that it was much easier for him to make and sell war thunder cheats than eft. so i assume theres a new wave of them coming into the game now.
The meta in this game has completely shifted to artilliary vehicles with fast reloads. No-armor-best-armor not enough to set off APHE fuse, plus the massive space between crew members, plus the fact that hitting ammo often wont detonate it, means these vehicles just dominate. It's ruined the 6.7 bracket of the game entirely, which is a real shame because that used to be one of the most fun BR brackets to play.
Back weeks ago when so many people were getting the Maus, those things kept eating saclos missiles from my BMP-1. Even my 100mm T-55 darts were having a hard time.

Just saw someone using one of these for the first time... I was in my SPAA (M163) and this guy kept schwacking the planes before I even had a chance.. He got 7 planes, I didn't get squat ;)
Its basically Vidar with even worse gun depression but actually bit better overall reload because it has no first stage ammo, but! Without laser range finder and without termo sight, these are the most important things which makes Vidar 8.0 vehicle and Type 99 lacks these so I would say that 7.0 br is actually sweet spot for this vehicle considering that M109 are 6.0 or 6.3, which are almost the same as this thing :) Well maybe 7.3 br would be ok for Type 99 as well, but thats the maximum, considering where M109 and Vidar are oh and forgot to mention Auf1, which is 7.0 br as well.
From what i understand tho, Type 99 is supposed to have a laser rangefinder and the devs even say it was supposed to have one during the dev stream but wasnt on it because it was unfinished
7.3 or 7.7 is fair for this one. I can see VIDAR ending up at 8.3 eventually - I bring it with my 11.7 lineup and it still works just fine. The only issue with higher br artillery vehicles is facing russian armor since it doesn't consistently overpressure.
This tank is one hell of a sniper. This vehicle has become my main concern as a Tiger II main. If I’m not careful or observant enough, one of these will smoke me all day long. Definitely a formidable foe.
I 100% think that almost every single derp gun needs to go higher BR. Cause they got stable 155’s when most other people are just now getting actual stabilizers, and let’s not forget they are built for ROF for those shells, it’s dangerous.

The meta in this game has completely shifted to artilliary vehicles with fast reloads. No-armor-best-armor not enough to set off APHE fuse, plus the massive space between crew members, plus the fact that hitting ammo often wont detonate it, means these vehicles just dominate. It's ruined the 6.7 bracket of the game entirely, which is a real shame because that used to be one of the most fun BR brackets to play.
Back weeks ago when so many people were getting the Maus, those things kept eating saclos missiles from my BMP-1.
Even my 100mm T-55 darts were having a hard time.
I have a suggestion: The T-10M, aka the budget IS-7

Just saw someone using one of these for the first time... I was in my SPAA (M163) and this guy kept schwacking the planes before I even had a chance.. He got 7 planes, I didn't get squat ;)
Its basically Vidar with even worse gun depression but actually bit better overall reload because it has no first stage ammo, but! Without laser range finder and without termo sight, these are the most important things which makes Vidar 8.0 vehicle and Type 99 lacks these so I would say that 7.0 br is actually sweet spot for this vehicle considering that M109 are 6.0 or 6.3, which are almost the same as this thing :) Well maybe 7.3 br would be ok for Type 99 as well, but thats the maximum, considering where M109 and Vidar are oh and forgot to mention Auf1, which is 7.0 br as well.
From what i understand tho, Type 99 is supposed to have a laser rangefinder and the devs even say it was supposed to have one during the dev stream but wasnt on it because it was unfinished
7.3 or 7.7 is fair for this one. I can see VIDAR ending up at 8.3 eventually - I bring it with my 11.7 lineup and it still works just fine. The only issue with higher br artillery vehicles is facing russian armor since it doesn't consistently overpressure.

This tank is one hell of a sniper. This vehicle has become my main concern as a Tiger II main. If I’m not careful or observant enough, one of these will smoke me all day long. Definitely a formidable foe.
I 100% think that almost every single derp gun needs to go higher BR. Cause they got stable 155’s when most other people are just now getting actual stabilizers, and let’s not forget they are built for ROF for those shells, it’s dangerous.

About the friendly machinegun thing. Today i was with the battlepass italian truck and several times friendlies were furiously machinegunning me. I think they hate that other people have tanks that they dont have.
