What Is Sin? - Rev. Anthimos Metropolitan of Alexandroupolis

The question of what "sin" really is has long been a matter of concern in ecclesiastical circles, with each person giving his or her own content to the concept, with explanations ranging from moralization to outright cancellation of sin. Clearly the truth lies in the middle of these two beliefs, since on the one hand sin is not an unforgivable offence before Christ and men, but on the other hand it is a problem for man, since it does not allow him to turn directly to God and experience life in Christ to the fullest.
By giving credence to sin, that is, their personal egoisms and their faults they are aware of, the Christian denies him/herself the great opportunity given by Christ, who forgave our sins and enabled us to live with Him in His Kingdom.
