Yes, it is gold but mixed with other stones, certainly not pure. The choice of sentences has a clear bias (mentioned in my previous comment), the second sentence has hsk-2 speed for hsk-6 words, if you listen to her in real life (i.e. her podcasts) and here, there is a clear difference when it shouldn't be so (I mean... clear, some differences are inevitable) She adds some theater to the sentences, which is fine and good because she wants more punch to whatever she says but... she is not an actress. This forces you to choose: do you like me and my personal style when I pretend to be an actress or not. Eileen seems to be a very nice person indeed who has created a useful channel for Chinese learners but, as I said, she is not an actress and I can't like that part. The real question in this case should be: do you like my teaching (which I do) or not but her good intentions and her will to do it as good as possible, which are evident in every video (thanks Eileen) backfire here in her attempt to theatricalize (I had to check this word in google) the sentences.

I love your channel. Everything: when you interview people on the street, talk about your own life, do a little drama and even this with the words. Keep on going. My son married a Chinese girl. So we have visited them and her parents in a little village, a little bigger then yours. Together we spend 6 months in China, I even took Chinese classes, was really fun. They moved out of China, but I still interested in learning Chinese and I can watch and understand the tv series. I need to read the characters subtitles to know. Only listening is still to difficult.

*TOO FAST?* Control the video's playback speed by speeding up or slowing down the video *5% at a time* on *desktop computers and laptops* OR *25% at a time* on *smartphone!*
Access the playback speed controls as follows:
*Desktop Computers and Laptops:* open the video, then go to the *lower right* of the video's screen and click on the *settings icon* (it looks like a GEAR). On the upper right of the options window that comes up, you will see the link *"custom".* Click on the "custom" link to control the video's playback speed by speeding up or slowing down the video 5% at a time.
*Smartphones:* open the video and go to the *upper right* of the video's screen. You will see *3 dots.* Click on them and you will see the link to open the *"playback speed"* controls. Click on this link and you will be able to control the video's playback speed by speeding up or slowing down the video 25% at a time. I can't always Read them: because of constant computer eyestrain and because of doing other things (work, sleeping). Without English these are not good for just background.
I think the best rote repetition is
Target sentence spoken in Target language
State word and then sample sentence spoken using word in teaching language (here, English)
Repeat speaking target sentence in target language.
I know that's a lot of work BUT
i think it can be automated using TTS text to speech computer voice. Computers are good at reading texts these days.

This is super helpful. The sentences make the words so much easier to understand. Since I've became a patron and downloaded the mp3 I've listened about 7 times. Often when she says the word, I am a little fuzzy on the meaning, but then she says it in context and I remember. 案例 is one that took me a few times. Can't wait to see the next video!

So excited that you did HSK 6 after all!!!! And the video-quality has improved so much I did not expect that! Plus I am so glad that this time you made more simple sentences than with HSK 5. I understood the point was that once you reach HSK 5 the level has to be already pretty decent. But it used a lot of new vocabulary within one example so it was hard to memorize the one new work the example was about.
You really do deserve to be labelled as the best intermediate to advanced account!

I’m wondering that are all of this vocabulary are regularly use in everyday Chinese? specifically the phases and idioms. And if there are any phases and idioms that hardly ever use, do you feel hesitated saying them?
Some of the idioms are actually commonly used in daily conversations, while others are more common in writing. That being said, with HSK6 level, students should learn some vocabulary that will appear in writing in order to read books, news, etc.
