“Each of these bricks were put in by hand”. Is there a newer way to lay bricks?
"We live in a post-covid world"
We did it boys, covid is no more
@@pioneerpark7861 you're gonna die young
There are actually bricklaying machines afaik, and many houses are build out of prefabricated elements ..
I was just about to write this comment... Also the ”post covid everyone wants indoor/outdoor living”
Sir, for 38mill I'd want it regardless of covid
@@philippheller9439 not on those arches son, a brick layer is a still a job. This real estate agent is a d-bag
Fredrik you forgot to mention the railroad track in the back yard.
The listing could read. "Fall asleep to the tranquil waves lapping up on shore or be bombarded with the rumbling loud horning honking of a train at 3 am"
did you spot the Interstate on the other side of the house too! 4:11
@@Kigoz4Life It's completely rusty so most likely inactive. Plus it will be under water in a couple of years so nothing to worry about
@@bngr_bngr Hell nah. 38 million and still having to put up with noise and shaking. Imagine taking a nap and being wake up by an earthquake but then remembered it’s just the train. Or watching a movie and having to pause because the train decide to honk.
@@ernec.5326 oh yeah. They make it a point to honk. Because the locals always cross in front of the train to get to the beach.
@@bngr_bngr Oh! My bad. Thanks for the info!
“In this post COVID world, everybody wants more bedrooms” ... what 😂😂?
Y'know, "now" you can meet with people "again" you need more bedrooms for...special meetings with a lot of people 😂
It’s not post COVID
@@RedLittleChicken yeah right?! 😂
@@RedLittleChicken i
I think he meant post the start of covid, like after everything kind off blew up.
I’m pretty sure he said indoor outdoor space not bedrooms 🤔
As someone who lives in Tuscany, this "castle" does a pretty good job. Most European influenced homes in the US often look cartoonish (with just... terrible detailing and proportions) but this one could aaalmost pass as a country palazzo here. Kudos to the architects!
There’s something really tacky about living in a house that looks like a castle, at least here in the states.
This beach looks very private. Do the 20 surfers come with the mansion?
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hahahahahhh
No, it comes with 30
@@retartedfreak oh wow what a Great Deal

By the time this overpriced house sells, covid WILL be over!
COVID-19 will never be over. Even if a majority of the global population are vaccinated the virus won’t be eradicated.
That’s not what he means. In this context , post covid world means “in a world after covid appeared “
@@gabrielleroux1757 ok sorry :(
The comments are always the best
Imagine paying 38M and still having neighbors
I think it's more suspicious that he didn't point out the closet space. Everyone wants to see epic walk-in closets. It's one of the biggest selling points in any place. Especially high end places.
@Cemil Guven But it's "triple gated." That means by the time criminals get past the second gate, they're too winded to go for the third. Then they just return home. "Meh. Not worth it...."

Yeah.... they didnt go through any trouble to hide that did they? $38M and you have a rail line running right through the middle of your property... Only in California.
you have earned the addition of "wilde" to your name for this scathing review
LMAOO
Considering the lack of due attention, the brickwork is appalling!! this would make a professional bricklayer cry! But then as cousins from across the pond, I think we should teach you how to build a home correctly! then maybe you will have a quality home free of mother nature weather?
For $38M buy an actual house in Tuscany with a vineyard and a used Lear jet to get you to/from there
And increase my chances of death? No thanks
@@user-qr2tf8vl4k not that you have the money anyway 🤣🤣
I like how people buy houses like this in "triple gated" communities supposedly for privacy but then need a staff of minimum 10 people around them to maintain the place around the clock lol
they also have neighbors
LoL
Yes, talk to me like I could've been quarantined in this home for the past 9 months
I can't believe the bricks were put in by hand. That's so remarkable. That has never been done before.
In like 10 years you won't even have to walk to the beach!
Fr bro climate acceleration has to end
Lmao
@@jonathanblum9346 just a reality check. If we leave it as it is, by 2100 the ocean will rise for 40cm haha. Plus we are doing a lot to combat it, and there are even more plans in the future, so this number will decrease with years to come.
Do what you can to slow down climate change everyone!

I agree. Amazing details ☀️☀️☀️
so amazing. wow. impressive.
Still impressive given the fact that many American homes are cardboard made
38 million with a railroad track in the back? NAH
Videos online indikate it has been on the market since 2016, probably because 38M and railroad tracks between you and the ocean don't align in most rational heads...
That track rarely gets used, the top surface is rusted brown instead of shiny metal.
If they told me 4-8 trains pass by at night it would be a bonus as I love the sound of a train at night..
Surf spot off the front and access to dirt roads into the mountain for the dirtbike is like heaven, pity I don't have $38M...
@@rztrzt Just looked it up. It's the Surf Line and seems like it's a busy commuter rail line that also serves Amtrak so I'm guessing more than a few trains go by each day (and night). Due to climate change and coastal erosion the bluffs in some areas are getting dangerous. One area was just shored up in September 2020. I really liked this house but even if I could afford it, and actually wanted to live in Southern California, it doesn't seem like a great investment.
LMAO, $38m in Oceanside? Beautiful location and home but the city is boring with no character, the track as mentioned and full of jarheads. Should be at least $20m less. No Thanks! smh
you forgot about the interstate on the other side 4:08
Guy said "post covid world" twice. What world is this guy in? Probably have to be rich.
Haha! Maybe it’s post-COVID if you live on a property the size of a small island.
🤣
Maybe he’s vaccinated?😂😂 and thinks everyone’s getting them as well.
Rich people don't abide by all these moronic restrictions. That's for the poor morons who are dumb enough to believe the television.
He forgets he's not talking to his 0.1% buddies and that their little experiment isn't below us peasants

That’s basically everyone lol
Even if I had the money I wouldnt ever have the need for 7 bedroom, 10 bathrooms and a tennis court. Big is just tacky. Give me a smaller, spacious place with more land for the sake of privacy.

Spending $38M to have a railroad track in your backyard seperating you from the public beach. What a dream!
It does not even have a home theater. I am not buying it, sorry.
You don’t live at the beach in Orange County to stay inside and watch movies lol

That's ridiculous. If you have $38,000,,000. For a house, you can afford to add a theater room!
I really liked the dude selling this house to us. He just seemed really sweet and enthusiastic.
Really? The dude would be the reason I would NOT buy it to pay him
I think most of property’s in California are listed way to expensive and never go for more then 75% the listed price
It's part of the game I think, yeah. Buyers will almost surely bid significantly less.
I wish property out here went for 75% of asking what dimension do you live in
depends on the house tbh, we sold our house for around 200k more than we were asking for due to that type of house being in high demand but the house we bought we got for around 100k less than originally asked.
Not were I live. Homes are going well above asking price. Non of which 38 million though
Properties are more expensive in California because the demand is higher. Plus this house is in Orange County and that’s one of the nicest areas areas in California.
Post-COVID world?
I'm too busy worrying about those plants that will 'literally' come into the living room
Best I can do is $100, offer's on the table till midnight.

that´s insane! I really love the architecture!
0:11 - I'm judging this home from my quadruple-gated community, Gillette Quattro-style.
I love Fredrik since his Bravo show and even more so that he’s doing a presentation for Architectural Digest 🤓 it’s like a dream for me.
So beautiful. San Clemente is so special :). Wonderful beaches. That pool and backyard is outrageous.
I usually like the more modern houses but this is beautiful. I'll hold onto my $38 million though 😂
This is literally what I want in my dream house.
I love how much natural light there is
Loves it. This hallway is fabulous
Yeah, the "so italy" nonsense really got me. It's in Southern California, it's so clearly Spanish mission style that it has a name in Spanish, and your go-to word is "tuscan"? I think the closest this dude has ever been to Italy is an Olive Garden
Dude is from Europe lol.
And its all mediterranean style
He's certainly one of the best presenters on this channel.
Absolutely gorgeous! So much better than those white boxes everyone is building! Love the character!
i watch a lot of these videos but this is the first one i could feel very cozy and "homey"

Did they accept your offer?
I'm guessing they might let you sniff their farts from just outside the gate for $5.
If a house ever screamed owned by Colombian drug lord it's this one.
Umm no, because if it was owned by a Colombian drug lord the guards with AK-47s and the pool girls would've come with the house.

How do you go to the private beach? Take a train?
A million steps. I've seen properties in neighboring towns. You have to maintain those horrid steps too. They are death traps.
I really love the architecture of this kind of houses. It feels you are connected with the history of the house. Modern architecture are nice but somewhat empty and dull.

This property is so cool! But I had to admire the way the presenter is so casual in his descriptions. It's just refreshing from the seemingly elaborate way of the others.
I like that he loves the chickens.
Wicked video! 👌😀 I love your uploads! 👍
Hooold up... wait a minute... is that a railway line in front of the house? What the actual? Um no that kills the value, I’m out.
It's clearly decommissioned and will end up in the sea in a couple of years anyway haha

I believe that, in Oceanside, it's Amtrak. So, a pretty regular schedule....
Kitchen is clunky and kitsch, needs refurnishing to match the rest of the home
The whole interior is very dated, and yes especially that butt-ugly kitchen. It's the outdoors that really is what's nice about this house.
The inside feels like an actual home and is actually usable tbh
I saw the kitchen, I'm sold
