@@Italjohn that's good but how can I know if the new radio fits in my stereo frame??
@@nicxla.s All 1-DIN radios will fit as long as you use a facia kit for your car. Send me a link to the radio you find, and I can tell you if it will fit.

How you find one without changing wires or cutting wires?
I don't understand what you mean? Please try to explain more thoroughly.
Hello.Doest it works on toyota corolla verso?
No, the Verso has a diffent frame that must be purchased from a Toyota dealer. The rest is the same more or less.
Italjohn13. How hard can it be?
Thank you!
Well, my answer is not absolutely correct. There are two types of the verso, the first one is the tricky one. The newer type you can buy facias from eBay or Amazon.
Italjohn13. How hard can it be?
I have the first one.It will be hard to do that, but i will try.
I dont understand how to remove the climate console. How to remove it? Just pull it with force?
Do you have whats app or smth so i can video call you
@@EddyByEddys No I don't have whats app, sorry
There are no screws that holds the console, just clips. This is shown in the begining of the clip.
@@Italjohn Thanks, i managed it.
@@Italjohn ...i think there are 2 philips screws to unscrew, after you remove the plastic panel with the 12v dc socket/lighter...
By doing this do you lose ability to view the trip / mpg information?
Yes
What size is the rattle you are using to remove the unit?
This one: US: amzn.to/2sfDvMa
DE: amzn.to/2QzAqQF UK: amzn.to/2QDRc10
What model pioneer is it?
Just found the box, Pioneer MVH-290DAB
Muy buen video!!!! Gracias!!!
Tanke!
You are welcome sir 🙂
Did you disconnect the battery.?
No I did not, but it always a good idea do so when you are working with electrics
Screw size ?
Hi there. I think it was a 10mm but not sure.
Thanks a lot👍👍👍
You are welcome sir 😊
What type of stereo will fit ....
All types that have an standard opening, which will say 99,99% of all aftermarket stereos. When it comes to the wiring, most of todays stereos have an ISO DIN wiring harness that will fit.
Hei! (regner med du er norsk) Hvor fikk du tak i antennen?
Heisann. Kjøpt den her: acb.no/Details.asp?ProductID=3681
@@Italjohn Perfekt!
Takk igjen! Visste ikke om det :D
Funker dette med en Grundig stereo?
Javisst, trenge ikke å være Pioneer :-)
Does the dab and fm antenna adapter follow with the new radio?
No, I bought it separate. There are plenty on eBay.
Okey thanks, But is it needed like the whole kit with the fm dab splitter and the dab antenna? It is really weird that it dosent follow with the radio
@@Italjohn were can i get the plugs for the ac unit.
@@rickyadame1265 I have no idea, maybe at a Toyota dealer?
hello do you think I can mount an audio cable?
I'm not sure what you mean by audio cable? Please try to explain (In your own language)
@@Italjohn i mean mount an aux cable . (Scusme i'm italian)
@@giovannicarandente3279 Yes, that's no problem as long as the new radio has an AUX input :-) I have connected a sub woofer to my line out as well.
@@Italjohn mount an audio cable on old corolla radio
@@giovannicarandente3279 Aha, now I understand. No, I don't think that is possible without modifying the original radio.
this is the same from any corolla from 2003 to 2008 right? because mine isnt the hatchback one
I can't tell really, but if the dash looks similar it should be the same procedure. 😃
When connecting cables to Dab antenna, connect a red wire, why?
I have already seen dab antenna connectors that do not come with this red wire.
ps:Have the same car . I'm installing a sony xav-ax3005db.
Thank you
The red wire is for the antenna amplifier
Can I switch to just a regular radio in a 2023? I freaking hate this rich screen!!!!
I don't think so, but I not absolutely sure either.
shame you can't check fuel consumption after replacing radio ...
Yes, thats a drawback. But how often do you need that :-)
If you use android radio, you can buy ELM 327 diagnostic tool and Torque app and still see all the fuel consumption info and many more.
why not just put 2din?
If I should have done it again, I would definitely chose a 2-din
Thanks!!!
Engelsken din er konge. Hilsen fra Løten
Takk for det 😀 En gjør så godt en kan 👍

Very nice video but why adding this ugly radio instead of an android one?
I understand your question, and I will upgrade it when Pioneer comes with a Andriod/DAB radio here in Norway
@@Italjohn sweet John 😁 keep it up! Just watching your usb installer 🤘
👍👍
You lost your cd player.
No one uses CD's any more, at least not here in Norway. But hey you can still buy Pioneer radios with cd players in 😀
