Fun fact: From the era that Howl's Moving Castle is based on, people have actually speculated that Howl's long hair may be a mullet :)
Edit: guys pls mullets are really cool why not
Oh, that is filthy.
I choose to live in denial.
It’s probably like a David Bowi type Mullet. Very attractive. Ziggy stardust
i love this
Ewww
Alysha's style is just incredible 😵😵😵
its so ggod i want to keep seeing them do videos together
Agreed! Some of the best digital painting I've seen.
@@youwish944 so do I... I hope they keep making such videos not to mention I really want Alysha to do a tutorial video...
@@hawnick7234 yeah right she's amazing 😵😵😵
Definitely a better howl than Jazzas but will always love the original lol
Intro idea: Inserting Art into your day, and your life
Set idea: Have each artist paint/draw etc something on a giant blank canvas (wall) behind the desk so the set grows as the channel does!
Wow that could be really cool!
This set idea is great! Lots of different styles
That’s a good idea
Yes, they should do that.
Nicw
I love how Alisha's draws her eyes they seem so magical
👀
Lisbeth's dragon tattoo is barely mentioned in the book. The wasp tattoo is actually more prevellent to the story. The reason why the dragon tattoo is so well known is because in the English release the book title was changed from the orginal English translation. The actual title of the book is 'Men who Hate Women" which I asume a publist thought would impact sales in English speaking countries. The Sweedish film did make the tattoo SUPER prevelent because I think they really wanted English viewers to see the Sweedish film, and better one, not the American version when it would be made.
The prize offered is an scam. It's not jazza's account
The book title, for me, was masterfully translated to Portuguese as “The men that doesn’t love women”. Such a powerful choice of words and foreshadow of the plot
It’s swedish, not sweedish.
I actually guessed it on Jazza's video because it sounds exactly like Lisbeth, but as for the wasp tattoo I just figured cause isn't one of the books the girl who kicked the hornet's nest or something?
I'm glad we're seeing more of Alysha on this channel, i've always been impressed with the artwork she has produced for the crew and she has such a chill vibe. Like a digital medium Bob Ross.
Alicia is so talented its crazy! My 7 year old daughter has a new role model :) Im buying the brushes now even though we dont have anything to use them on yet. Trying to save up for something for her. Thank you Jazza and Alicia for being such good role models! Jazza, fame didn't change who you are ♥. Incredibly rare!! // Sweden Dad
This comment made my day, thank you for sharing! I wish your daughter the best of luck in her art journey 💜
Clipstudio EX has a great annual plan if you don't want to go photoshop, and having used them both, it is comparable. I personally prefer ClipStudio to Photoshop myself, but that is just me.
Krita is an awesome drawing app and it's completely free! If she doesn't have a drawing tablet already I think it's better to save up for that and use a free program (eventually when she improves more and feels like she needs more options she can change to a paid program but Krita is just 👌👌 She can also animate on it!) I use a waccom tablet and I'm very happy with it
Edit: I just checked and the brushes are compatible with Krita!
Thank you so much for the tips!

Alysha’s Howl looks like if he was about 30 and a villain, I love it! Film Howl is more like a softened/simplified version of book Howl to fit the Ghibli style. I mean that in terms of both his appearance (his face isn’t angular in the film) and his personality (in the film Howl is introduced as Sophie’s saviour, while in the book Howl is the one who makes Sophie feel uncomfortable at the beginning). I think both the film and the book are really enjoyable and amazing in their own ways, though.
Great video btw, it’s a fun take on the ‘book accurate character redraw’ format
He is about 30 in the book though. He's 10,000 days and nights old by the end of it. Which would make him about 27.4 years old.
And it's approximately 3 months from the moment Sophie starts living in Howl's castle to the end of the book.
@@annajung1234 Sorry, I should've put 'in his 30s'; when I said about 30 I was rounding down not up. Wouldn't have commented on it if I thought he looked the age he is in the book :) /lh
It's interesting how Alysha was picking up, seemingly, on Howl's amorality & unreliability...? 😆 He's pretty romanticized at occasional times in the book (let alone as the movie adaptation's animé boy! 😂) but definitely a selfish character, even after getting his heart back.
Set idea: section off the background and have each new artist design part of it so it grows with the channel and if someone leaves the history of them is still there and new viewers might go back and watch their old videos because of the art style.
I like this idea
Wow love this
Agreed
I just want to say that these videos are SO INTERESTING to me as a writer, because it really shows how even the smallest details in how we describe a character can really influence how people see them. The way Howl was described gave you both slight villain vibes, and honestly, that's completely accurate to the book, Sophie is kinda constantly waffling over whether he's truly despicable or only somewhat intolerable. The tattoo and "hair as short as a fuse" made you both think that the girl with the dragon tattoo was edgy and punk, and made you both draw her with a fairly intimidating, piercing stare. I dunno. It just... tells me a lot about how I can add a lot of character into the descriptions of my writing without outright saying "she's edgy" or "he has seductive villain vibes." I love seeing it, thank you!
Alysha's style is incredible and I love her more calm and gentle energy contrasting to Jazza's...wholesome chaotic energy. Super glad we get another new video already!
I really like the vibe of more than one artist sharing art and comparing notes. I particularly like when Jazza asks Alicia to elaborate on interesting techniques. It's getting back to the tutorial vibe the main channel used to have. I also like that each artist has different yet equally strong styles. This is a great start for the new channel!
Hello! i hope everybody seeing this has an amazing day/night!
I've been following Jazza since 6 years ago when I was in 7th grade. It's going to be a pleasure as a fan and as an artist to follow the journey of this channel. I feel rather lucky to be here from the beginning.
Her painting/drawing style is very much my vibe. I think jazza is a great talent, but for me I think her art is just beautiful. I could look at her art for hours. Beautiful!!
Two videos in one week yay!
Set idea: an all black and white pencil and RUclips logo, with some of the art from other artists adding thier own addition to the mural making it a cohesive of all the artists
Possible intros:
Insert art into your mind
pick up a brush and insert art with us
Insert art into your life
It would be fun if multiple artist worked on a scene together but can't see what each other are doing till they put them together.
This accidentally ended up being a great art tutorial too lol. Watching you guys paint in real time is super helpful! I definitely understand a few things a little better :D
Luther was such a good guess though! Umbrella academy was a comic/graphic novel,so that totally counts
And Luther did in fact go to space :)
Her artwork is so polished. I really like how crisp and well blended the colors are.
Set Idea: Have each new artist contribute to a working in progress mural behind you as the channel grows and more artist join then your mural will grow
Highly impressed with Alysha's photoshop and drawing skills... Fantastic stuff!
It was fun to swap between Jazza's video and this one to compare each one as I went.
I said it before and I'll say it again: I just keep FALLING IN LOVE with Alicia's art. She does AMAZING pieces, I'm hyped about her work on this new channel.
Literally just found out about this channel a few minutes ago and I'm so excited to see some fun art content again! The concept of the channel fulfills the ideas and stuff I love and have been missing since I stopped watching a lot of art channels years ago :')
Alishas becoming more confident on camera, really proud of her
Set idea: really classy, simple gradient with the [Insert Art] brand on the wall, but then props where art has been inserted into mundane stuff. So a flower pot that erupts into a fountain of paint (model, obvs). A table with a top made of crayons under resin. That sort of thing. For bonus Jazza-verse collabs, Tabletop Time could make the props as a video
SET IDEA: Similar to the TenHundred Biggest Art Collab, could the background be a mural and each time an artist comes they add to the mural a bit. Maybe could have the video of them adding their bit exclusively for members?
the vibe of this channell isss really calm and entertaining, its amazing. Alisha's drawing is just crazy!
Alysha's style is so amazing!! It's fricking awesome
I love all of Alysha's art so much. Her style is what I naturally gravitate towards when viewing art and she's also just such a fun, chill personality. Thanks for giving us more opportunities to get to know her!
I love seeing this difference in art styles and approaches. Really interesting! Can't wait to see more artists on this channel!
This art style is so cool, look forward to more in the future
I could watch these all day!!! I’m writing a book and now I want y’all to do my characters 😂
Set Idea: Do a new mural for the background! Also keep the small channel vibes around, it’s awesome!
i love the difference between the two art styles i love this channel already cant wait to see all the different art styles
I am so proud of this art channel. I've been sharing it around. Congratulations on your first art channel.
He looks pretty close to how I thought Howl might look. Much closer than Jazza's lol
Hers looks more like movie Howl. I pictured closer to Jazza’s for book Howl
@@talesfromnowhere9914 LOL no. I've read the books thanks and Jazza's looks like Gilderoy Lockheart, the smarmy git.
@@theredheadwiththread1275 Neither are perfect, but Jazza’s better gives off the man-child vibes that is book Howl and has a slightly more ridiculous suit (closer to what I imagined but admittedly unfortunately still far from book Howl’s glorious suit)
the only thing I remember is Sophie and calcifer saying that he wasn't as handsome as he thought he was
@Oubliette Charmaine from House of Many Ways thought Howl was handsome enough.
These all came out so well. I'd love for you guys to put out drawing prompts like this for us to attempt to draw! It would be so interesting to see how many characters designs we come up with.
Alysha will always amaze me with her rendering skills. Like it looks so simple and intricate at the same time love this channel already.
Just became a member, I'm so excited to see the channel grow!
I cant wait to see where this channel goes! Many more artists to find!
The amount of effort put into this video is crazy considering they did 4 amazing artworks each !
SET IDEA: Have a bunch of artists customize a *frame.* Get one big frame as the centerpiece, maybe paint it gold, and then put a big [INSERT ART] logo in the center. Then hang all the artists' frames around the big frame. Maybe at the end of an episode, you could digitally (or physically) add the art to the empty frames, bringing the concept of "insert art" to life.
Alysha has incredible skills! I love her style. I especially love the last prompt’s result. That looks so sick!
Set idea:
Make an interactive wall, where you place all previous video's art on, so if someone were to miss one or two videos they can go look for that video
I love her style! I would love to get a tutorial on painting skin!
This is beautiful and so motivational !!!
She’s so talented, love her style! She also gorgeous! 😍
I think every artist should just have their very own unique intro :)
It's crazy how your interpretations of the prompts were so different, but both well done. Great first video.
Alysha's creativity is so attractive! 🥰 Great job both of you!
I love these "drawing characters as described by the book" videos! And Her art is SO beautiful I love it!!
Set idea: several empty frames & tablets painted on the wall as if waiting to be filled with amazing art.
Loved Alyshia's art style. It's really polished!😍
The pieces just look so awesome. Love it.
I would love that Modern Renaissance palette. The eyelook you did is absolutely stunning. But tbh you look great no matter what you do ❤️
I LOVE this! Going to get into digital art soon and will totally try getting that brush set! Also, love Alysha’s ‘low effort’ art piece. Sooo something I would do
I love this channel, its gonna be so awesome, i missed the old videos
Really loving this channel already! It would be cool if like once a month you guys do a challenge where a fan gives you a concept/scene and you all draw it the way you interpret it and then you talk us through your process .. just a suggestion 😊
Amazing work!
As much as I enjoy and often amazed with Digital art, I can't truly relate. I'm hoping Insert Art will cover all genre of art, include painting, maybe resin, etc. ,i.e. things anyone can try. I love this new channel and Ayshia is outstanding.
Love the new channel and all the different artists and styles and I think capitalizing on the different styles of each artist would be an amazing opportunity to provide reasons for different styles (and mediums) in these challenges. Example take same prompts and make ‘same’ characters but each different artist uses a different medium that is their forte… I.e. charcoal, or watercolor, digital, sculpture/3D modeling…
Then also in future could flip/swap mediums to have a giggle at someone slightly out of their comfort zone but of course capable as you all are
Cheers guys, that was enough to make me buy the brush pack. They seem a lot more useful than the defaults I've been using in a couple apps tbh haha
Just wanted to thank you for getting me interested in digital art. I am in dabble mode right now.
Thanks to you and @ArtWithFlo, who I found out about through your other channel, I have been able to get started in a super affordable way via the $5 Procreate Pocket app and a $10 stylus. It’s a good enough system to play with to get my first taste of digital painting without an intimidating startup cost or having to deal with learning about hardware as well. Digital art was a someday/maybe thing for me until just this week. Finding an easy, affordable gateway made it a NOW thing for me, and I couldn’t be more grateful to both of you. ❤️
I did treat myself to your brush pack and some of Flo’s after messing around with the ones in Pocket, and have been having a wonderful time just messing around with textures, colors and learning some basic tools. I can’t draw (yet), but this is the most fun I’ve ever had with art.
I’m 53, so if I can get over my intimidation and just play a little, anyone can.
I loved watching both of these at the same time! i loved being able to flip back and forth to see your interpretations!
set idea!: you guys can have a whole doodle wall behind you! it would be so cool, you could add doodles as you go along, and guests or whoever can add their own doodles! it could be a really cool project!
I already love this channel! You got me subscribed ❤💯
Love how your styles differ. Alysha's colouring is next level!
Set idea: A mural background that each artist adds to as the channel grows (could have the scribble play logo in the centre just so it's not to bare to start with)
I equally love Alysha's drawings and choice of shirts!
Alysha just has an amazing style and she works so well.
Set idea: mural of each artist, they each do their own portrait in their art style
Set idea: Every artist you add to the team paints something on the wall! You might start with a basic background so it's not mostly blank for a long time.
Love her style so much!!
SET IDEA: have a mural of each artist's hand with a brush coloring a swirl of colors in the middle.
I love Alysha's art so much. she is so talented
Set idea: each artist designs a wall or segment of a wall showcasing their individual art styles
Cool channel! Keep it up! So fascinating to see good artists working together! Just estonishing!
Your drawings are so good! Please please please do a part 2 with Peeta Mellark how he's described in the book! ❤
Alicia is so talented. She did so well and got 3 out of 4 to me. Set idea: make it feel like a home office, or where artists watching are likely to do their art, like the fan art set in the main studio
It would be fun to have a mural where at the beginning episode of each new person, they add their part to the mural.
Alysha is crazy talented, glad you guys have done a spin-off channel to feature her more.
I love this video concept and would definitely watch a part two
Alyssa's art is wonderful 🤩🤩
Loved the space picture, the amount of realistic detail was unbelievable
Set idea: have each artist design a part on the wall using their own style, having it made into a scene using everyone's own style within portions of the piece.
SET IDEA: Print out some of the art from various episodes and make a collage as you go.
Would love to see y'all designing/ creating the set!
PLZ BRING BACK THE ART CONTESTS THAT YOU DID IN DRAW WITH JAZZA! I loved them alot.
This is becoming one of my favorite channels
Been enjoying the brushes. Nice video. Also, I've been noticing Alysha has a taste for rock/metal music. It's her T shirts. It first caught my eye when she had a Parkway Drive sweater. Good choice.
I loved this!!❤
These are some of the best videos. It would be awesome if you started doing character design again
being an aussie is good, cause it means im normally online when Jazza posts
I'm not Aussie but I'm just up late in the states so I'm awake cuz I'm a night owl. Maybe I'm on Australialian time lol 😂
I'm Aussie :) Can agree
Set ideas; the mural could have a self portrait made by each team member _but_ in a totally different style than they usually do. Or portraits but you paint each others? Idk. But I love this new channel 💚
First 14 Seconds “ABSOLUTE GOLD”!!! That’s the intro from here until eternity haha 😂
SET IDEA: Make a couple squiggley lines to make different sections for each artist. Jazza does the art in the section furthest to the left, alysha does the art firthest to the right and as you add people in the channel they slowly fill in the sections with their own art going towards the middle until it's full. You can include some of the side walls too like Moriah Elizabeth did for her studio mural to really pull you in 3D wise. Maybe draw a chibi cartoon character of each member and have it hang above each chair from the ceiling so even when people arent in the video they are still there. that'd be fun and unique.
SET IDEA: A large digital screen or projector that can change the backdrop with each artist, maybe that highlights that artists work, this could actually help promote 'New Artists' and their differing styles and if you have multiple artists at the same time all the different styles can be shown together.
I cant wait to see this channel grow
The contrast between the two forest gump drawings got me 😂
I just got here, 3 minutes after it was posted. Can't wait to see what they do!
