DUSTY SPRINGFIELD -- A Goddess of the Swinging Sixties ! !
I lo💛ve all of her songs as well !
Great pictures of Paul & Ringo with Dusty and Tom Jones. Thanks Elena.
"Given that the article describing the events of the MM Pop Poll luncheon appeared in the issue dated September 17, 1966, it is easy to see how many people think that the Tuesday on which the luncheon was held would have been the 13th. However, given what we know about the publication and distribution cycle of MM, the Tuesday referred to in the article must have been prior to September 8 (i.e., the date the issue was printed), meaning that the awards luncheon was held on September 6, 1966."
Unfortunately, Paul died on 11 September 1966.
Ahhh...that explains everything.
Post the article that you quoted
Paul is beautiful
Elena, one of our first thought is 'how young everyone looks'!...great pictures of Dusty Springfield!...thank you for another fantastic collection of photos from the early era of the Beatles...thumbs up.
Hi Elena lovely pics never seen them before. I am a big dusty fan as well.
Wow !!! What brilliant photo's
Yes. Paul died on September 11 1966. This event took place on September 6 1966.
Hard to believe that within a couple of months' time, they would have a totally different image and look.
Paul especially was almost like a completely different human being...
@@OldSchoolVibes1978 He was a different person
@@OldSchoolVibes1978 he was
@@OldSchoolVibes1978 Nah, I'd say that about John. He changed the most in appearance, way more than Paul.
@@mysticmaverick1 This was his very best double according to the memoir of billy shears. Pulled an old switcheroo.
R.I.P Paul
Thanks for creating this. I had only seen 2 of them before, and enjoyed seeing all the additional shots.
Increíbles fotos ELENA,! Es mágico que puedas tener acceso a tantos archivos desconocidos para el gran público. MI Ringo, encantador, como siempre!
This was swing lol . I like the photos and the 60;s music :}. Thank you !!!!
Nice set of pics and very tasteful background music as always...
Great clip of the 2 great guys. They are so humble and have good souls.Thank you Elena
La última foto oficial registrada de Paul y la última sonrisa natural de Ringo
Hi Elena, I loved this upload! I loved the music! Anything to do with the year 1966 just fascinates me! What a very interesting year! Was that Jazz Organist "Jimmy Smith?" Very cool Hammond B3 Organ! Ringo looks especially dapper in his "Kings Road" finery! I dig his polka dotted shirt! I noticed Ringo got his hair trimmed after completion of The Beatles '66 American tour. Nice trim! You know, I noticed Paul has his hair combed from left to right as he was accustomed to doing. I believe this was the last time Paul was photographed with his hair combed this way. On December 20,1966 Paul was filmed, while being interviewed, outside E.M.I. Studios, for a British Documentary called "The End Of Beatlemania" sporting a moustache and, for the first time I believe, his hair combed in reverse from right to left. He has continued to come his hair this way to this day. This and his eye color helped to spur the Paul McCartney is dead rumors. I must admit, I am more accustomed to seeing Paul wearing his hair as depicted in these pictures. That's Paul McCartney circa 1962-I966. I wonder why Paul felt he needed to change his hairstyle? I must admit the whole "Paul Is Dead" saga is very strange and mysterious! I remember the Autumn of 1969 viewing a television program featuring a mock trial with lawyer F. Lee Bailey playing the role of the judge. The death clues were presented as evidence and a verdict was rendered. I cannot remember what the verdict was!!! That is so frustrating!!! Mysteriously this television program has never been rebroadcasted!!! Incredibly, this so called "Hoax" continues to this day! Raul.🙂
I guess Paul decided to change his appearance a bit, so he changed his hairstyle. He wanted to look new.
"It was a fake mustache. It was a fake mustache. It was a fake mustache. It was a fake mustache."
This was the last time Paul McCartney appeared to me as the Paul I grew up admiring from 1964 until September 13,1966 when this event took place.
All of a sudden he changed!
He was first sporting a moustache and combed his hair from right to left, he wasn't the old cherubic diplomat he once was. He seemed like he had a chip on his shoulder. He was more confrontational and seemed thinner and his face and nose looked more elongated!m
Could it have been drugs related?
Very strange. Very spooky.
Actually, the reason he changed was because another guy took his place. This awards show is controversial because Paul supposedly died on 9/11/66, and this show occurred two days later. Some believe the photos, even the one shaking Johnny Mathis's hand are doctored. There was another weird thing about the event not being covered by the local press. I do not know, but I do believe he was replaced by today's Paul, whose real name is Bill Shepherd.
@@mr.g1758 Yes, agree. I was trying to find out exact date of the awards but guess I am not looking in the right place, or else that information has been scrubbed by the elites. The only date I have seen they want you to believe is Sept 13. But I dont think its correct. Why would they do an award show with only two Beatles there???
How so fantastic clip Elena!
Thank you so very much my dear friend for sharing all this magic with us!
Like the photos with Johnny Mathis. Did not know he was there. You cannot deny that when the Beatles were around, the World was a lot more fun and they made it that way.
y Mr. Fotogénico es... Paul McCartney!!! Es increíble como este hombre no tiene un lado malo...
COOL
Hello again Elena!, Quote by PAUL MCCARTNEY ~ OCTOBER,1966 ~ "Our whole outlook on life is changing because our circumstances have changed our surroundings. But this has not done anything to disunite the Beatles. We are going to keep on making better tracks and become better entertainers as the Beatles." Raul.😐
By all accounts, this was the last public appearance of Paul McCartney before his tragic car accident.
11/9/66 in UK calendar was
September 11 1966
John was with Neil in West Germany to play parts in "How I Won The War". Ringo was in Surrey at the time. Epstein was with Paul and George in the studio. After an argument with Brian, Paul leave in a huff, he slam the door. After Paul left the studio, he pick up a girl named Donna. The girl recognised him and gone mad. Paul ran a red light and was hit by a yellow truck that knocked them across the wet road into a pole, resulting in his decapitation and a car fire. It was on Sunday, 11 September 1966, just minutes before midnight. The interesting thing is that Paul predicted his dead and he told everyone about it.
I believe you, but can't figure this Melody Maker event out. Were photos doctored?
@@mr.g1758 I don't know. But that event took place one week earlier, on September 6 1966.
1:55 Paul
Johnny Mathis!!!
On this day John was in Germany filming How I Won the War and George was in India with his wife Patti for spiritual teachings.
Elena, thanks a lot! If you find anything else from that period, september-december 1966, other than the usual John in Almeria, George in India, it would be great. That period is the holy grial of beatle pics, specially from the early Strawberry Fields, Pepper sessions, november 66, when John met Yoko. Key period in their development and so poorly documented. Thanks again!
Unfortunately George's photo in India 1966 I do not have much.
PS - this was before Tom Jones had his nose fixed, it was a cloudy overcast day in London on that day -
The "other" guys were making movies and meditating!
Sept. 13, 1966. Okay Okay. With Johnny Mathis, Alright Fab Four.
Sept 13, 1966. Okay Okay. With Johnny Mathis. Alright Fab Four.
This event took place on September 6 1966. Paul died in car crash on September 11 1966. This is the truth.
1:34 also real Paul
Pic at 1:06 is Paul... others have been messed with.
Who is john and george
Members of the beatles
The Beatles has finished touring barely two weeks. They're back home. John Lennon went to Spain to Film, HOW I WON THE WAR with director Richard Lester. Paul vacations in Kenya, Africa. George travels to India with his newly wed wife Patti. Ringo spends time with his Family and joins John in Spain. They will all come together in November 24, 1966 at the EMI Studios, in London. Paul sporting a Full mustache because gotten into a accident with a scooter?? He injured his lip. He composes and records the Hayley Mills film, THE FAMILY WAY.
Moped accident was in '65.
This was the final public sighting of the original Paul, soon to be replaced by the deplorable Billy Faul...
see Mike Williams YT channel. He thinks this is a "street double" (not used for performing double).
OldSchoolVibes 1978 I wonder how Ringo can stand there knowing what happened 2 days before. Yep. Mike Williams has done an amazing job with decoding all this and now “Wings” or waiting in the wings, makes sense.
...strawberry fields on the stove
Jphnny Mathis con ellos.
It'll be nice if we can remove Tom Jones from all the pictures, after all he doesn't even sing anything original! Yea, and no matter what or how hard he tries to poor his heart out in a song he'll never out shine the original singers. Yea, no matter how hard he tries and that's all there is to it! So give it up. lol.
