I use organic products when I can. I’m still taking chemotherapy and organic products for one, are free of pesticides. Usually more expensive, but worth it to me.❤

That looks good. Here is a tip I was taught to stretch the chicken: boil the chicken first so you have the broth, then take out the chicken on a pan and put the sauce on it. This way you get broth too for something else (put in freezer) and the chicken is certain to be cooked in the center. It can be put under the broiler for a short time. This is a favorite for camping trips or on the grill.

I'm with you, look forward to trying this however when I make it, I will add only 1/3 or less of those amounts of salt, pepper & garlic powder & not near that much mustard. The amounts mentioned would be way to overpowering for my taste. I normally buy leg quarters.

I love legs and breast. I use a 13x9 pan for my bbq chicken season the chicken place in pan pour in bbq sauce sliced onions and bell pepper. Your bbq sauce recipe looks good but didn’t see you sample it first. Mashed potatoes and a veggie and a good fresh salad

The sauce the made is similar to one I make except mine calls for white vinegar and a 1/3 cup chopped onions you cook that in a sauce pan till boil then simmer for 7 minutes.cool then pour over your meat and cook. Very yummy looking chicken you have made tonight!!😊 Thank you!

I like pretty much all parts of the chicken except the giblets! lol. That BBQ chicken looks delicious! That sauce is real similar to how I make mine, except I double the ketchup (2 cups), much use less mustard (2 Tbsp), and I use the stoneground mustard instead of regular yellow mustard. I use1/4 cup white sugar and 1/4 cup molasses, instead of brown sugar. I add 1 tsp smoked paprika, and 1 tsp onion powder, and only 2 tsp garlic powder. I hardly ever add salt and pepper to the sauce; I just salt and pepper the meat. Everything is pretty much the same. My daddy always told me "The bigger the mess, the better the cook.", because It seemed like I dirtied everything in the kitchen to cook a meal for him and us 5 kids. lol He always seemed to enjoy the end results, so maybe he was right. I wish he was still here for me to cook for, but he's dining at the Lord's table now, and I know he's saving me a seat nearby.

I use mortons lite salt and still cut back. You'd be surprised how salt is in catsup and other ingredients we use in recipes.

Are you sure? 2 tablesooons of each garlic powder, salt and pepper? And too much mustard. Sounds like way way too much.

I like pretty much all parts of the chicken except the giblets! lol.
That BBQ chicken looks delicious! That sauce is real similar to how I make mine, except I double the ketchup (2 cups), much use less mustard (2 Tbsp), and I use the stoneground mustard instead of regular yellow mustard. I use1/4 cup white sugar and 1/4 cup molasses, instead of brown sugar. I add 1 tsp smoked paprika, and 1 tsp onion powder, and only 2 tsp garlic powder. I hardly ever add salt and pepper to the sauce; I just salt and pepper the meat. Everything is pretty much the same.
My daddy always told me "The bigger the mess, the better the cook.", because It seemed like I dirtied everything in the kitchen to cook a meal for him and us 5 kids. lol He always seemed to enjoy the end results, so maybe he was right. I wish he was still here for me to cook for, but he's dining at the Lord's table now, and I know he's saving me a seat nearby.
