    Chao Fa Market (ตลาดเจ้าฟ้า) is located along the riverside in Krabi Town, and every evening a cluster of street food stands set up selling a variety of different Thai street food. You can choose from stir fried stalls, I saw some Isaan food stalls, some snack stalls, and I believe there are a couple Halal food stalls as well.
    I chose to eat at a stall right in the center of Chao Fa Market (ตลาดเจ้าฟ้า), and had a couple stir fried dishes including stink beans with pork, stir fried kailan, a fish fried with fingerroot.
    I have to say that I think Chao Fa Market (ตลาดเจ้าฟ้า) used to have better food a few years ago when Ying and I were in Krabi. Now, it was a bit on the touristy side, but nevertheless, it’s still a good budget place to have a quick dinner, and I really like the outdoor peaceful atmosphere and the open air.
    Overall, food not the best, but still good.

    Us Indonesian love stink beans too! In here we call it "petai" which is used a lot in nasi goreng.
    For me, I just stir fry it with shallot and garlic, salt and pepper. I could eat it all week!

    Mark, I did read on your website, migrationology.com ,about stink bean's, however I have a question. Does the smell of the stink beans present itself in the dishes they are used in, or does the spices etc in the dish hide the smell ?
    I'm working up the courage to go and try them, as the health benefits you mentioned (in your article on website), make's this bean something great to include in ones diet !
    Really enjoying the new video's, great as always !

    so what exactly does a stink bean taste like?

    • @chrisw7347
      @chrisw7347 8 лет назад

      +Duske Maiden Very hard to describe. I want to say kind of like a stronger tasting fava bean with more of a raw vegetable sort of taste. That's my best shot. It's really tasty in the shrimp paste sauce with either whole shrimps or pork, they serve it in Malaysia as well.

    • @tippyh4639
      @tippyh4639 8 лет назад

      +Duske Maiden U must cook it never eat RAW! Never try raw , dont try but if u had it raw let me know heeheeheeeh

    • @shirahsky
      @shirahsky 8 лет назад

      +Tippy H having it raw is good too. make it like a salad side dish without dressings. obviously it will taste stronger. and when you pee. it will smell like stink beans.

      @tippyh4639 8 лет назад

      +shirah'an Khamis now I know i can eat it raw! thanks shirah, u said' pee will smell like stink bean ' which it good cuz our system flash out ' THE STINK!' am looking 2 buy some. any1 know where to but the frozen?

    • @shirahsky
      @shirahsky 8 лет назад

      Tippy H stinky beans are veg honey. You can't get it frozen. But you can get the peeled ones. In my supermarket they usually have it in the chiller section. But for america i guess u need to find it online that comes with the stems.
