- Utah Beach D-Day landing site and museum. Normandy, France.
June 6, 1944 on Utah Beach, infantry and tanks landed in four waves beginning at 06:30 and quickly secured the immediate area.
The 4th Infantry Division landed 21,000 troops on Utah at the cost of only 197 casualties. Airborne troops arriving by parachute and glider numbered an additional 14,000 men, with 2,500 casualties. German losses are unknown.

I was there when i was 12, while i didn't understand the sacrifice of the soliders who fought and died on that beach i was surprised by the amount of soliders who assaulted the beach.
I was there yesterday it's amazing
My dad was here too in the old Brit monitor ship Erebus shelling the beaches pillboxes
