  • Deleted the DPF on my 175k mile 2014 Cayenne Diesel. The check engine light would periodically kick on for a P022D code. Purchased the kit from Rawtek.
Not super difficult, but I wouldn't call it "easy". The hardest part was persisting through the 2 days the flash would not write to the ECU for the tune. I believe it had to do with a low battery, as well as me trying to install the tune during the night time, when the automatic lights would turn on and draw power.

Just picked up a 2015 Porsche Cayenne diesel, thanks for the vid. Anything you think I should do to it besides delete? It has low miles, and stock everything except for a 'tune' (i'm not sports car guy I'm not 100% sure what that means), and I just want it as a daily driver. Got a great deal on it plus I love diesel.

Congrats on the Cayenne! If the DPF isn’t actively failing, then I would hold off on the delete until it’s necessary. But up to you.
Aside from that, when you get the car, make sure you clean out all of the drains. There’s lots of RUclips videos. If the drains get clogged up with leaves and debris, water can back up and leak into the inside of the car.
Also look for any coolant leaks. These cars love to leak coolant from different hoses and plastic bits.

How’s the car running ? What are the main benefit if doing this?

Thanks for asking! The car is running fantastic. The car feels more powerful, louder, and has a faster acceleration from stop.
My main reason for doing this is because the car was telling me I needed a DPF service. Meaning the diesel particulate filter was dirty and needed cleaning. The light would come back on after driving the car in the city running errands, and stopping and starting the car many times in short trips. It would clog up the DPF. I didn’t want to replace or clean the DPF as it would just come back up as needing service in the future. This eliminated the need to service the DPF entirely so it’s one less thing to worry about.
