Tony Stark (Iron Man) : You know me?
Thanos : I do. You're not the only cursed with knowledge.
Tony Stark (Iron Man) : My only curse is you.
Thanos : All this, just for a drop of blood.
Thanos : You have my respect Stark. When I'm done, half of humanity will still be alive. I Hope They Remember You.

This fight was amazing.
The fight is awesome 😎😎
You’re smart thanks a lot! 🕷️ 😌
It was such a shock to see this in the theaters. Stunned silence.
Back then, Marvel wasn't afraid of killing characters. We thought they would actually go for it with Tony. Like how they killed Quicksilver.
people just went "aaaah :0" and some random girl shout "oh no!"
The fact that Tony was able to go toe to toe with Thanos for a full minute and a half is honestly impressive. No wonder Thanos had respect for him.
True 👍👍👍
@@deutschmitpurple2918 Disagree, that was a pathetic attempt. That last knife attempt was weak. He has more tricks and could have done a lot more with what he had.
@@NabeelKhan-ci8gw Really? Like what?
I think he did his best despite the daunting circumstances he was facing. It almost seems like he froze at first, especially after Thanos recognizes and sympathizes with him. One can imagine his fear and anxiety (PTSD) featured in Ironman 3 creeping into his thoughts from the back of his mind, causing him to almost choke, and turning his legs to jelly.
His battle plan was sound. Start with long range, then move in. Unfortunately, it seems he became hyper-focused on what initially stunned the Mad Titan via the rocket powered impacts, and gave up trying to use strategically placed distractions accompanied by melee attacks. He could've set the gauntlet jammer to overclock and explode as soon as it was tampered with. Everyone knows he simply could have used the blade against Thanos' head instead of punching him. Imagine how that would've gone. If you're gonna go for the head, make sure you use something sharp.
Disappointed in the fight instead of knife should be proton cannon the last attack
This Thanos was so much more honorable than the 2014 one.
A mad philosopher, not unlike other historical figures
Yup. The Thanos in Endgame grew tired of the Avengers' stubbornness. Them can't accepting that they've lost, ambushing him in his own home and cheaply killing him and cheating by defying the laws of time to undo all Thanos' hard work. So he just wanted to destroy them. You can kinda understand him. The Avengers are like sore losers to him.
@@draxthedestroyer3384 yeah but he still didn't have to act so rash as to do a full-scale invasion right away. If the Avengers were sore losers to him, then he's petty that his hard work got ruined

I think Thanos meant all the years and the effort Tony spent designing and developing technology to protect his friends and the Earth.

I dunno, Steve Rogers called him "Earth's Best Defender" earlier in the film. They respect him, though they may not always show it
Nobody respect him more than Doctor Strange
@@eesaansari3514 Strange was no friend. They were both alpha-brain pricks who could never get along no matter how much they respected each other. Funny that they both played Sherlock, too

@@PrestigeLearning Steve did betray Tony’s trust even though he did have good intentions
I notice that Tony upgraded his suit with melee weapons since he lost the fight to Steve and Bucky in Civil War.
He didn't just add melee weapons. He added Nano Tech that can make literally anything he wants, which puts him way above Steve and Bucky(Until Steve gets Mjolnir). I'm even saying this as a Captain America fan, who rooted for Steve in Civil War. It's just facts that Tony with Nanotech is just way too strong for regular Cap

2016-2019 was peak MCU and after that it's been a mixed bag
Now that Bob Iger is back, the MCU can hopefully go back to its old routes
I'd say include 2014 on there bc The Winter Soldier was amazing, the first GOTG was good too.
Only No Way Home, Shang Chi and GOTG 3 were good, others are pure dog shit
Agreed, and what came before was still pretty good all things considered. Phase 1 MCU (2008-2012) was finding its footing but it’s a cult classic. I’d say it had a pretty valiant start all things considered, so realistically I’d say the MCU was at its prime from 2008-2019 which only got better as it went on with it peaking at IW.
Then all of that was thrown out the window in favor of mass producing MCU content up the ass, rendering the entire universe with a quantity-over-quality plating that proved detrimental to not only the quality of its works but its legacy as well.

"All' that for a drop of blood."
Is such a powerful line. Whenever I see reactions to this scene, or see how a lot of people commentate it. They say Tony is badass, he made Thanos bleed, which is true. He gave Thanos his all and did make him bleed. But like, why would you celebrate that. After ALL they have thrown at Thanos. Wakanda at war, the gaurdians, doctor strange, spiderman, pretty much everyone. And it's only effected Thanos with a DROP of blood.
One of the best villains of all time imo
Uhh. Did you forget Thor put his axe in his chest.
@@randygutierrez4965 You obviously took it the wrong way. In the very end Thor put the axe in Thanos' chest. I meant up to that moment, and going forward until the very end when Thor almost killed him with Stormbreaker.
I remember how many people thought that drop of blood was going to be pivotal in how Thanos went down in Endgame. It was a great red herring.
Thanos: All of that, for a drop of blood
Me in theater: we're screwed, absolutely screwed.
he actually fought Thanos harder than the hulk..just noticed that...huh
Thanos was wearing an armor Made of Uru metal, there is no way the Hulk could kill thanos
the infinity saga would have been so much better if they had not ruined hulk and had a couple of hulk stand alone movies with ruffalo before iw and eg lol and black widows death would have had more impact if her movie came out inbetween civil war and iw
From what we see in this and Endgame, Thanos tries much less when he uses the Gauntlet, given that it more than makes up for any effort he doesn’t put in. However, both when he fought Hulk and when he fought in Endgame, he either had minimal or no empowerment from the Stones, meaning he’d have to actually try and fight. That’s how I view it anyway
They nerfed hulk and Thor a lot for the plot. Hulk even in ragnarok was putting up a major fight against Thor which were giving him blows way beyond what thanos gave him. Similarly to Thor but Thor was mainly weakened in this movie and then in endgame was way too out of shape to fight thanos because of their defeat and the first time he was helpless and the second time how could have killed thanos if he simply aimed for the head. This put Thor in a crippling depression as he blamed himself for the death of his family and friends and nothing except alcohol and beer consoled him. It’s also important to note that hulks size when fighting thanos probably meant that this was a weaker version of the hulk because he wasn’t as large as he was in ragnarok plus he was stuck in the hulks body for a few years and their ship did get attacked so it can be assumed that the hulk too wasn’t in good shape as he was too tired to fight thanos because of how long he spent within his hulk form and then reverting back to banner meant that his body had to readjust itself to transforming and de-transforming back to banner and then the hulk quite often. Lastly it has been speculated that hulk just didn’t want to be used as a means to sort out banners problems whenever things get ugly.
And in terms of damage hulk probably hurt thanos more but in the short term rather than in the longer term and by that I mean that hulks punches hitting thanos a titan would probably only hurt him for a few minutes if not a few hours but Tony blasting thanos and cutting thanos would take a bit extra long for thanos to recover. In short Tony did more damage in the long term but hulk did more damage in the short term which is why thanos was able to recover very quickly.
Imagine how awkward that would have been if Tony missed while deploying the gadget to lock the Gauntlet’s fingers
Man, Tony by himself lasted longer than all the rest of the Avengers did against Thanos later on. Tony was insanely powerful.
Tbh I think Tony(in endgame and infinity war)is stronger than the combined Avengers if we don't count the absolute crazy ones like thor,Hulk at his best, vision and wanda
The More I watch These Clips the more I Understand How Mutch The Avengers were Unprepared for Thanos.....Imagine if they got a heads up....Totally different movie.
absolutely right, plus they had no idea how the stones worked and what powers the gauntlet and thanos have which wd help them figure out his weakness. The one time they had some idea was here on titan. Quill knew about his strengths so hatched a plan that worked until he screwed up.
You had one job Starlord, ONE JOB!
Dr. Strange: *watching the fight break down with Tony and doesn't think of using the time stone to freeze time*
A plot hole to an amazing movie
@@brian1923 Not a plot hole. Every moment of that fight was necessary to build Thanos's respect for Tony, making the trade (Time Stone for Stark's life) seem credible to Thanos
@@brian1923
If Strange had revealed the time stone, even for a second, Thanos would have been able to manipulate reality and take it. Also there’s the whole thing with there only being one way to stop Thanos and all that jazz.
Yeah he probably couldn’t guarantee simply using the time stone to by rewind that small bit of fight time or even days prior. The outcome would’ve still been the same so it still makes decent sense.
“If you could make God bleed;
People would cease to believe in him.”
- Ivan Vanko, Iron Man 2.
Iron Man is the 'only One' in entire MCU (up untill now), Who Took the direct Hit from PowerStone and Didn't even Budged or got even a scratch (well, atleast the first time) !!
And to fathom, he was just a mere Human!

So basically what I witnessed was that iron man's shield is more durable than a planet😂
Imagine if tony instead of manifesting a flat weapon to hit thanos when he drew blood he could have manifested a sharp weapon and could have maybe killed him with enough force.
Such a great scene.. love the movie. nice share.
What an incredible fight
The best fight in the movie.
I totally agree with you 😊😊😊
I still like the strange fight with Thanos
Come on man. Strange was a much stronger opponent. Thanos has to use multiple stones to beat him and barely even used them against Stark.

Using 4 infinity stones to kill stark is reall a mad titan reapect..
This version of Iron Man would have absolutely wasted Cap and Bucky, whether he was blinded by rage or not. Cap simply wouldn't have been able to match that artillery and armor strength. Cap with Mjolnir would be a different story...

Thanos unzips his pants, revealing 2 more Infinity Stones
My most favourite actor from Marvel. Only Tony.
Thanos was overpowered in both movies except when fighting Capt Marvel & Wanda. Even when he was "losing" to Capt America (w/Mjölnir), he then suddenly becomes indestructible again.
To me, 1:03, this moment quite impressive. We never see his face with nailed helmet. We can see how much he was in frustration and failure while he fights who is really can not win.
I personally frown upon being impaled by any enemy. Extremely unfriendly.
0:07 vs 0:09 Tony mustache changes ALOT lol
You’d think with nano tech at his disposal Tony would have put in some form of bulk buster mode capabilities for this very situation
Hulk couldn't make em bleed but Stark could. Impressive.
i feel like thanos was weakened here, and that he holds back the power stone by a lot, but this is easily the best feat for tony besides him snapping his fingers.
0:32 can someone explain to me how they separated so far when thanos punched him to the ground and they never moved.
awkward cut - Tony should have been right on the floor in front of him
Probrobly a movie mistake or a plot hole for "a cool scene blasting tony" but thanos really punch him really hard that flew him away or maybe tony just start crawling away from him who knows.
Iron Man was the first one to draw blood... he was also the first one to go for the head.
If Tony chose to get in that first hit with a blade instead of a blunt object at :44 into this clip, it would have been a fatal blow to Thanos. Roll credits. Just saying. And what's more maddening, is Tony just stops attacking after he gets in the hit. Tony allows Thanos to recover from the hitr, say his drop of blood line then go on the attack. I know, I know, it's a movie. But I remember screaming in the theater "why did you stop hitting him?"
Fact : "tony said in endgame to captian. Was that a fight. I didnt even lasted for 2 min". And tony actually just lasted for 1:20 sec only
The whole time I was just thinking, where is this man's help from the other worldly powered friends smh Iron Man the true Hero 🦾🔥
I never realized how terrible of a fighter Ironman was. First he gives Thanos a break to see if he’s bleeding. Then he targets a second energy blast on the spot where the first one is doing nothing.
Maybe, just maybe, don’t give the enemy a chance to catch his breath and target two spots instead of one.
the thing that got me was he didn't keep hitting him when he could
Can we pay attention to the fact that Tony FRICKIN ROASTS THANOS😂
Iron man did exponentially better than Hulk in a 1v1
You know what’s crazy? Iron man was the only human being to single handedly make thanos bleed
Also sad how Tony put up more of a fight than Hulk
I wonder what would have happened in the fight if stark used the hand stoppper thing constantly on both his hands.
If you can make God bleed..then people would cease to believe in him. That's exactly what Tony did. He managed to accomplish what the others couldn't and that's where Thanos knew he had to destroy him.
THANOS: YOU HAVE MY RESPECT STARK🔥🔥🔥

Thanos learned more about Stark because he's the one who redirected the nuclear missile that stopped the invasion BUT Steve Rogers was the one he should have been worried about LOL....Cap taught Thanos an old Earth saying...FA&FO....
