Great video. I like having a scarf with me when I’m traveling because some countries when I visit the religious/holy place of worship you need to cover your head, or shoulders or your legs. I also like to bring a scarf that’s a little heavier material so if I get cold on the plane I use it almost like a blanket. Thanks for taking the time to do and post this video and all the others you do. Take care and God bless.

BTW - a friend of mine recently suggested we have a scarf exchange with our group of lady friends - I am going to set up one of those with a potlluck, or wine night, because I wear scarves a lot so many people have gifted me ones I don't really wear or that don't match my wardrobe. I'm sure we all have some of those, that would match other's perfectly. We should start a scarf exchange meme for ladies who lunch or have book clubs.

I am loving this video! I travel to Europe in fall, winter, and/or spring. (Paris & Brussels next month!) Less expensive and less crowded. I only use a backpack, so I take 5 solid shirts, 3 pairs of pants, 3 solid cardigan sweaters, and 6 scarves to magically make my outfits different each day for a 10 day trip. =)

I love scarves! Thank you for the styling tips! Since I am going to Istanbul in November, I will have to pack a couple of scarves because of some of the religious places I will be visiting. e.g. you have to wear a scarf to cover your head when visiting the Blue Mosque. And since I will be in Istanbul, I will be buying scarves to bring home, too. In Türkiye, you will find some of the most incredibly beautiful scarves. Note: I bought the Infinity scarf for my last International trip and was pulled aside while going through security for additional scanning because the zipper set off the alarm. My suggestion is if you are wearing this scarf on the plane, take it off and put it in a bin so avoid being pulled aside for additional scanning.

Oh yes, I bought some gorgeous featherweight scarves at the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul years ago that I still regularly wear. Gorgeous gauzy cotton, silk and silk cashmere blends, that were so reasonably priced. A definite souvenir to pick up while visiting! And I always travel with scarves as an easy way to change up the look of my basics!

That top/sleeve style is essential if you are wearing a sleeveless top in a hot country where you have to cover up to visit temples or churches. Keep another long scarf in your pocket or purse to make an instant sarong, since in many tourist destinations women need to be wearing a skirt to enter a temple.(I still have the scarf I bought in Indonesia in 1997 to make a skirt to cover up my hiking pants for a day of touring temples.)

I love your fashion sense and ideas. However, this is for travel. Your first scarf example and others could be grabbed by an and used by an attacker to grab the ends, choke a woman and render a woman unconscious, since it is wrapped around your neck, not just once, but twice. We cannot be too careful when traveling.

In theory the scenario you describe could happen anywhere, and indeed the good old USA has more violent crime than most countries we typically see Laurie talk about traveling to. So does that mean we should never wear scarves? I'm just not willing to be that fearful.
