Everyone always talks about noise levels while driving any vehicle. As a former owner of a Delta 88, it was the only car I have ever driven where there was virtually no noise.❤

These GM B-bodies were everywhere in the '80s. This Olds was a very popular upscale American family car. Millions were sold in two-door, four-door, and wagon versions from 1977-1985. I love this one with the 307. My mom bought a brand new one in 1982 when I was in high school and this was the car I really enjoyed driving around. The Chevy Caprice, Buick LeSabre, and Pontiac Bonneville/Parisienne were essentially the same car with different trim bits and engine selections.

My Uncle had a blue 2 door Delta 88, just like that one. That car was a downgrade from his 75 Delta 98. Two gorgeous vehicles!

I had this same car, same year, but in dark gray with gray interior. It was a nice comfy car. Not super fast, but got good mileage for a large car.

My friend had an identical one in high school, though his was rusting and the vinyl roof had little tears all over it. Great riding car and I miss the ridiculousness of giant coupes. I don't think there was anything wrong with his engine-wise, but this one seems to be running a good deal quicker.

She still runs really good. This '85 would have the smaller heads. Performance is about what it would have been when brand new. Enjoy!

I have a 0-80 mph video of this car on my channel as well. Thank you for the fine comment!

@@Dinkymaster7 The 4-speed overdrive takes it to higher speeds much better than the older 3-speed. My mom had an '82 with the 3-speed and it would turn faster at highway speeds than the 4-speed like yours. This engine has more power at very low RPMs. Revving it high won't produce any more power.

    Rip out the 307....throw in a 455 & TH400. And also a larger radiator for the 455.
