Yes, VK Buddies, and here is why: as soon as you open your mouth in reply you take it out of God's hands to deal with it. The book of Isaiah in the bible, chapter 55, verse 10-11 tells us that the spoken word is like rain - it has to be RECEIVED for it to be helpful or damaging. So therefore all you have to do is NOTHING - but do not receive the word - and it (like the rain) will return to the place it came from....which in the case of someone speaking nasty things means it goes right back to them. VENGENCE is mine, says the Lord, I WILL REPAY..... we just have to know that He loves us and trust Him to do it.

When I'm confronted and "never" in the mood, I always first warn bullies and insulters with a calm demeanor and a stern look to be really, very careful of what they think they want to say next. It creates a chance to verbally disarm them, and it usually makes them ponder. It's important that you own the situation. Their sense of sorry or fear can turn into respect in your honor if they don't persist. Just be ready if they reload.

Hi. Pretty good content. I like a lot of the clever responses to the insults. Some of the sentences are not grammatically correct. A foreign language is difficult to conquer its grammar perfectly. So I get that. I don't want to sound critical but since this is a teaching course, the first thing to do is to remove the "question mark" from the title. "How To Respond When People Insult You? " is a statement. It is not a question. If you want a question mark you'd need to change it to "How do you Respond When People Insult You? There are a few more grammatical errors in some of the statements that need to be tweaked. Thanks.

Speaking as a native English speaker, I would be very cautious giving most of these replies. Yes, they are funny, the English is perfect and they show wit and wisdom, but you are not going to stop someone picking on you, say if you are a foreigner in an English-speaking country by using them. From experience, being "clever" with someone makes them hate you more and they look for more ways to get at you. I think a better way is to ignore them, even pretend you don't understand. Perhaps be self-deprecating, if they are saying you are clumsy or stupid, you actually get sympathy from anyone else watching and they are likely to tell the person who is picking on you to leave you alone.
