I recently build the mg delta plus and i have questions what wrong with it? I can transform it fine and everything is tab in place and it's fine on it own
the expansion set has revised parts for the elbow joints and shoulder joints to the torso, and the hips so they dont split open whenever posing iirc, greatly improves the kit.
Those parts really redeemed the kit for me. I couldn’t even grab the kits waist withought it basically coming apart before. It’s way too unstable without that lock mechanism.
Maybe model kits have less testing then regular toys but this kit shouldn’t have needed an expansion kit to begin with or at least not one that exclusively came with those fixed frame parts. If the base retail was this bad already why would anyone want to wast money on a P Bandai add on to a bad kit?
I understand presuming the V2 would be similar to the Victory in construction, but that's not the case even at HG scale, they were both standard 2010s HG when it came down to basics but were different enough that they felt like completely different builds. The funny thing here is that at HG scale I definitely feel the Victory is the far less fiddly kit than the V2, whose wing binders are a royal pain to get lined up more evenly & happens to have incredibly leggy proportions.
Grabbed the reissue of the V2 Assault Buster and excited to build this! Have known about the engineering issues, so thankfully I’m the type of person who just has his kits for display only mostly haha
Coincidentally, I just finished this and it was my first-ever MG build. The final result looks amazing, but it was not a relaxing build, and might have put me off MG’s for good had I not watched this. Watching a more experienced builder struggle with it is encouraging!
I debated buying this kit but ended up getting the hg v2 assault buster and its definitely one of my favorite high grades. Now you made me want the mg to go with it 😭😭
I have the mg v2 ver ka and got the assault buster add on set later. The add on set actually comes with new parts to fix the shoulders, elbow joints and slightly longer hip joints.
one thing i want to add about the add on MG AB kit is that the gold parts are yellow not chromed. I would get the full kit with golden parts for anime accuracy.
After this backlog series i would really love to see a revisit or re-review of older kits that you have reviewed before. maybe reviews of kits that you hated in the past or kits that has gotten so old u dont even rmb what it was like to build it
i was thinking the same thing, mostly i would like to hear an update on how well they hold up today, specially some of the seed line, since they got alot of praise in their reviews,
Okay, I am sold. I am on the fence about getting this kit because of “issues”, but after watching this, it’s not that bad! I love the victory gundam designs in general. Great video.
Yeah! All three of them! 😂 Edit: Sorry, there's like eight of them currently. I forgot the Reborn 1/100s Shokaws and the high grade Victory and V2 varients. But only the Mg V2 has been seen in the wild recently, so...
I mean, he did said he was going to rework his rating style after he finished doing whatever he was doing at the time (I think he's moving to other place, and sorting things out)
The red circles are exclusive to the Ver Ka. Neither the regular Victory or V2 canonically have them, so it's technically more accurate. They do look nice, though, and it's kind of baffling why they would go out of their way to add colors to a design only to not represent it in plastic (See: MG GM Sniper II's black dots on the legs)
I said it above, but I'd build all the different P-Bandai RG Zeta variant kits before building a second MG Victory Ver Ka. It's really that bad. You can't breathe on the finished RG Zeta but you can't even look at the Victory before it starts to disassemble itself.
V2 VerKa is unironically my favorite kit.I love it. I had to build it a handful of times until I was able to close up the core fighter chest piece the way I wanted it to.
According to the dalong review of this kit from way back in the day, the construction on this is significantly more complex (and fiddly) than even the Victory was. I've never built the original Victory Ver Ka so I can't confirm that, but looking at the manuals it does seem like the V1 has significantly less transformation oragami going on than this does
a million years ago i got 2 V2 assault Buster No grades and mashed them together in what i call the V2 Double Assault Buster. i wanted to "upgrade" to the MG but it feels more like a side grade lol.
A friend gave me a v2 assault buster verka as a gift and I was prepared for the kit because I don't like transforming kits but I had a lot of fun with it. I don't like the red circles so I painted them with a marker.
Oh god this thing. This was one of my first MG kits and while it didn’t turn me off from gunpla to this day I’ve still never given a victory Gundam kit another chance.
I think this kit isn't my favorite (that's the Z ver ka), but it is my biggest love/hate relationship with a kit ever. On the one hand I absolutely love the look of it and I mostly really enjoyed the build (the elbows still care me to this day), but on the other the legs tend to come off of the hips, the gun doesn't like to stay in the hand, and I basically have to treat it like a statue. I think the most puzzling thing about it to me is that there seem to be several things in the kit that are bad for reasons totally unrelated to the transformation. I get the transformation is gonna be rough and severely affect the torso of the kit, that's understandable. But I don't get why the hand parts can't hold the gun properly, or why the elbows had to use such thin and brittle C clips
The base is the action base 1. action base 2 is the mediocre one with the screws. action base 3 is a weird rectangle one. THEN action base 4 &5 are hexagonal.
gonna be honest here, the victory line is such a disapointment, they went hard on tinny almost unoticeable details, but diferent from most master grades, this one looks like a high grade, unless you really go in looking for those almost hidden details. it already has issues with the size since its for a smaller than average MS. so it also diminishes the MG's impact and make you second guess on that front as well, even if for just a bit.
While I agree with you with the lack of details when you only do a fresh build out of the box and relies on correcting color stikers in certains areas, when it has and over engineering transformation, the height is still accurate to the scale, the MS is 15.5 m tall in the show, the smallest gundam with the F91 and the Crossbone
@@Serom_974 i do understand the whole scale thing, and dont disagree with you on that. but that's my point, because its smaller than other suits, and because it looks so lacking in that "MG" look you would expect it kinda feels like a smaller kit like a HG instead.

It’s kinda a pain and I haven’t touched mine since putting it on a shelf. Whereas my MG god, a kit from 1999, is rock solid. I can constantly go and tweak it and it just feels super nice.
Still hasn't built an MG Turn A or X
No A yet, but X I did quite a while ago:

Props to the people who actually made this kit as their base model for customization. This thing is horrible to disassemble.
for me this kit only con is it upper arm i wish it go deeper
Wait until you torture yourself with the V2 Assault Buster. lol
This kit looks soooooooo good but that lacking articulation keeps me away from it
Mecha reviewing Victory, that's not something you see everyday
It blows my mind that one of the worst Gundam series gets not one, but two Ver Ka MGs. Meanwhile some machines (like the Aries from Wing) never get any kits at all or some series (lik 8th MS team or Stardust Memory) only have really outdated kits.
Likewise. I hate this kit, there are so many unnecessary build lol. Just get the Assault Buster variant than this. 😅
Hey mecha can you review gundam unicorn bashire destroyer mode hg please
I would only hate this kit for not having good hip joints
