Most people don't seem to understand, this is the LAST DELIVERED XL, so they will be in use for the next 20/30 years, no more production or orders of XL, now they will be fully in service :) They will be seen more than before
@@datutturugang666 that's all gonna change as Airbus has recently opened an air cargo company which will exclusively use the classic Beluga airplanes (so NOT the newer XL versions. The cutest group of planes in the sky. Period. I wonder, in a sea of super transporter planes with fish names from Airbus (and the guppies), if an A380 could have a future (maybe like the SUPER Beluga)
That would be impossible. As an A380 Beluga Is Now Double The Weight and double the height. If it's double the height, Airbus would need to build a delivery centre double the height as well.

The eyes on the airplanes make them looks cuter than they should be. It also makes the shape of the plane looks much more acceptable and not that weird.
The first generation of Beluga's have a lot of differences compared to today's Beluga. Many things stay the same though, The Beluga Whale Shape, The large cargo capacity and it being an Airbus Transporter. The new beluga today does have a mouth around the cockpit and winglets, as it is an A330-743l, and the predecessor was an A300-600ST. The beluga is a beautiful aircraft and will stay in the sky for years to come.
Not really. What were they meant to do? Build their own version? The guppy planes were needed for the a300 which means since it hadn’t existed yet the a300 wouldn’t be bringing in money that they could use to build their own. It’s not crazy at all. Very sensible. Also they were mainly from NASA so it’s not as if they bought them from Boeing
I just appriciate that the entire front of an Airbus plane can hinge right off, and be structurally fine when it's put back, meanwhile Boeing can't even hold a door in their 737 MAXs.

If airbus retires all 6 of it's beluga XL after the end of their service life, they may design another transporter, most likely based on the A380.
