- Horror fans! Here’s a look at the Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981) FILMING LOCATIONS then and now. I decided to re-do my previous filming location video for the second installment of the Friday the 13th franchise. In this video, I take you to all of the town locations. You will see the location of the phone booth used by Jeff and Sandra in the beginning of the film, the tree where we’re first introduced to Ted, and the bar where the camp counselor’s discuss the legend of Jason Voorhees. This sequel is the first movie to feature Jason Voorhees. Just five years after the massacre at Camp Crystal Lake (Camp Blood), counselors at Packanack Lodge met their demise by Sackhead Jason. Check out what these locations look like 40 years later! #FridayThe13thPart2 #JasonVoorhees #NewPrestonConnecticut #filminglocations #
I love this movie, the fact Teddy survive just because he was drunk and wanted to have fun makes him one of the best characters in Friday the 13 universe.
I agree with you 100%!! If he didn’t go to that after hours bar, he would’ve been killed! Teddy is a legend. I wonder what his character would be up to these days.
@@MrYankees611 probably own a bar or he became a stand up comedian 😂😂 dude was hilarious, great video by the way dude! I subscribed!
@@horrorgames420 “…So the bear wipes his ass with the rabbit!” 😂 I can totally see him being a comedian. Thank you, dude! I really appreciate the kind words! Thanks for subscribing!
Nice job! My favorite in the series.
@@tobypetty32 Thank you, Tony! It’s my favorite as well!
Thanks for posting this vídeo! I Love this movie.
Thanks so much for watching! It’s my favorite horror franchise!
@@MrYankees611 I also love number 3 and 4. Do you have the locations of these two?
@@silviamaria7183 Unfortunately, I don’t. I’d love to make it out there at some point! Those were filmed out in California.
@@MrYankees611 I live in Brazil but, I would like to go there personally some day to visit the places you've posted.
Do you know where were the number 3 and 4 filmed?
When I go to the U.S, I want to visit the lake in part 3 and 4 as well.
I think the house of the fourth movie is still there.
@@silviamaria7183 Part 3 was filmed in Santa Clarita, California. The barn used in the film is located inside Veluzat Ranch. Unfortunately, it’s a motion picture ranch so you can’t just go in and visit. You’d need special permission from the owner first.
The house used in Part 4 was filmed in Topanga Canyon, California. The new owners of the house want nothing to do with the movie nor its fans, apparently. So if you go and visit while they’re home, they will probably ask you to leave haha. However, the previous owners were super cool and welcomed fans.
This is my favorite Friday the 13th
That's because it's the best Friday movie
These are the best Friday the 13th location videos on RUclips! Thanks for making them.
I really appreciate that, man! Thank you!
Did a great job..... neat to see the similarity and changes... lov those old gas stations and phone booths....I miss the 70s and 80s✌🏼😢
Thank you, dude! I know, I love seeing the similarities/differences of locations over the years. I would’ve loved to have visited the cabins from the movie but they’re all torn down. There’s a huge house currently sitting where the cabins were. The owners have cameras all over the property so you can’t get on the property.
Good job Mike! Enjoyed watching this!
Jana Deubner thank you, Jana! I appreciate it!
Awesome! Ive seen this movie bout 50 times
Cory Evans thanks, bud! You and me both! It was one of favorite sequels!
awesome, man!!! These videos are so enjoyable! Keep them coming. I have never visited a filming location, but its on my bucket list. The closest one to me is "The New Blood" in Alabama.
enriquetheprofessor Thank you man! I appreciate it! You should, it’s such a cool experience! That’s awesome! I’d love to check out New Blood locations! At some point I wanna make the trip to Georgie to visit part 6!
If you ever go to California, you can visit so many locations. We've stayed near LA 3 times and we still have places we want to visit. Everything from The Fog to Friday The 13th to Scream 2 (and TV show houses if you're into those) - if it's something you want to do, LA is one fo the best places to go for :)
Anthony Borga Trust me, there’s so much I wanna see out there! I want to make a trip there eventually! I want to visit the A Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, and Scream locations so badly! One day!
@@MrYankees611 Trust me, it's totally worth the trip if you love filming locations. If you ever need a list of addresses, let me know, I keep the ones we've visited (or plan on visiting) in a word file. There are some locations further north (Halloween III factory, Scream locations) but we've stuck with LA so far. Eventually we'll get up north though lol
Anthony Borga wow that’s awesome man! I greatly appreciate that! If you took any photos/videos, you should make it into a RUclips video!
Way to go mike. I like this one. I’m late to the gang today. I’ve slept a lot today then i found it in my box I thought “ ohhhhh baller made a video must watch it lol. Another good one barone lol
christina otter haha thank you, Christina! I appreciate it!!
My friend was saying you should do a live stream she thinks your funny
christina otter Wow, that’s nice of her! I really appreciate that. I only have like 239 subscribers, NOBODY would watch that 😂
MikeBaroneComedy are you fucking kidding me one ball. I would. She thought scott was going to take his shirt off lol
christina otter Lmao! That’s hilarious haha. You would be the only one hahah. I don’t have a following on RUclips so nobody would tune in. I used to do weekly livestreams on Facebook with my friends, but that was about 3 years ago
Great video Mike. Thank you..
Geoffrey Scott Pollard I appreciate it man, thank you!
Great job lining up those then and now shots
Thank you, man!
Great job with overlaying film with the locations
Thank you! I appreciate it.
Good stuff, thanks.
Thank you, buddy. I appreciate it!
Mike Barrone warned them. He warned them all. Any others who try to cover the Friday the 13th filming locations are all doomed. No one can do it the way he does . They are doomed before they start. Lol
Hit out of the ballpark as usual my friend. Great job
Gregory Witt Lmao! “I warned the others, they didn’t believe me. They’re all doomed.” Thank you, man! I had to re-do this video, the other one I made for this location bothered the hell out of me every time I watched it. I hated the way I filmed it.
@@MrYankees611 glad to see your out and about. I see you are in need of a haircut as bad as I am lol. It's always good to see the filming locations no matter when or where
I think Scott on tape did a filming of the beach that was used. Unfortunately the old cabins were torn down in the early 2000s. And not much of anything was left to see.
And even if they still were, the beach property around spectacle lake? Is all private.
Gregory Witt Yeah, I had to get out of the house. I’ve been going crazy. And yes! I desperately need a haircut, my hair has never been this long before hahaha.
Perfect
Thank you!
Cool! XOXO 🤩👍
Thank you!
@@MrYankees611 😘
Do they still have Jasons cabin with his moms head?
I asked the owner of the campground during my first trip a couple of years ago and he told me it was taken down after the movie. He said it was built specifically for the movie. I would’ve loved to have checked that out!
Unfortunately there’s nothing left of the cabins from the movie either. They were torn down years ago. There’s currently a huge house in its place and you can’t get on the property :/
Do u know something about jasons cabin (location)?
I talked to the man who owned the camp when the movie was filmed. He told me the shack was taken down after filming.
I'm so mad the house from Part 3 burned down. That would be a great location.
You and me both!
Do you guys think Jason's house is still in the forrest?
@@silviamaria7183 I don’t believe so. I’ve spoken to the former owner, Lloyd Albin, in the past and he told me Jason’s shack was removed after filming. If anything, I’d love to find the spot where it once stood!
@@MrYankees611 In the movie, pay atention to a tree in front of Jason's window.
Its branches start from the ground. It is a very rare kind of tree.
It will help you to find the exact location.
@@silviamaria7183 Yeah I’ll definitely have to bring a lot of screenshots with me next time!
Best film in the franchise!
Definitely one of my favorites!
Hardly the best. It's literally just a lower quality copy of the first film. I mean Jeff even has the same outfit and haircut as Kevin Bacon xD
@@MrYankees611I love third and first parts, but second part with Ginny Field is my favorite part now!
@ Part 2 is great and Ginny is an amazing final girl!
@@MrYankees611 agree
I’m from Connecticut, I’ll pay you to take me on a tour and help find these locations
That’d be fun, dude! I’m always happy to help. No payment needed!
@@MrYankees611 I hit you up on fb a while ago. Can I contact you though email?
The trees been cut down now
I heard :(. Out of ALL the trees they could’ve cut down, it just haaaaad to be that one haha.
awesome, something very sad about the way things have changed though . everything looked better in the 80s ,, to me anyway .
gizmo no I agree with you! I think it looked better in the 80’s too. It’s sucks that all of the cabins were torn down too.
I love this movie EXCEPT for the fact that they killed Crazy Ralph. He would have been a great recurring character in later movies. I don't know why they killed him.
I have always felt the same way, dude. I LOVED his character. I couldn’t believe they killed him off.
Yes. Imagine him showing up in Part 3 and Final Chapter. Imagine Crazy Ralph running into Tommy in Part 6. Would've been so great. @@MrYankees611
Somehow Ted survived.... but he didn't survive Christine.
BuccaneerBruce You got that right! Ted survived Jason but he was not match against a Plymouth 😂
@@MrYankees611 I remember seeing Christine back then and rooting for him to get it because he had survived Jason. Excellent video. Will you be doing any other F13 shooting locations?
BuccaneerBruce hahaha I know what you mean, he deserved to die in Christine. That’s what he gets for getting drunk at the bar and surviving Part 2. I just uploaded a filming location video for the original Friday the 13th and I have another Friday the 13th video from inside Camp Crystal Lake. In that video I take you inside all of the cabins and the archery range!
To bad Jasons house is gone.
I know, I would’ve loved to have seen the shack!
Man Cool ,but its calf CORN....
..
That actually wasn’t a prop phone booth. It was real. It’s just been long removed now
It was a prop phone booth. It’s been mentioned in Crystal Lake Memories. I also spoke to the owner of the camp on a previous trip down there and he confirmed it was just a prop for the movie.
@@MrYankees611 Gotcha. Sorry I must be thinking of a different movie
@@JCStorm76 No need to apologize, dude. We all share a love for the movie 🤙
Videos are to short
I get what you mean, but it’s hard to do a long video when there’s only a few locations accessible to the public.
@@MrYankees611 ok see i didnt know that man👊 but dont get it twisted bro your videos are pretty good you do a great job thats why i subscribed
@@MrYankees611 keep em coming dude👊👊👊
Jeremy Finbow I appreciate that, dude! Thank you. I’m also weird, I’d love to do longer videos but I don’t think I’m interesting enough for that 😂
I'd have to kick the crap out of Ted!!
What?! Ted was a good man! Haha I definitely would’ve been pissed though if that happened to me haha
@@MrYankees611 lol me too
I liked the other one better😂I joke I joke I kid I kid keep em coming man I saw in the comments someone recommended you doin a live stream I 2nd that notion that would be awesome
Lil Baby Bubbie Bub's Pinky Toe Show hahaha the other one was awful 😂 I filmed it vertically instead of horizontally which resulted in people not seeing the locations clear enough haha. Thank you, bud! And haha nobody would watch that, I don’t have a RUclips following 😂
