This was never made clear so I can't give you a clear answer. - *Is the initial concept an otome?* Most definitely, *yes*. Their twitter bio used to state "A dark fantasy otome game" and they mentioned it on the old website format. - *Is that how they advertise it now?* *Yes and no.* When not running misleading ads, the boys featured in them have flirty lines. - *Is it labeled as so in the app store? *Yes and no.* Yes on Google App Store (marked as Simulation -- probably referring to Dating Simulator) and No for the Apple Store (It's marked as Adventure????) - *Does the game actually have otome aspects in it? No.* There's only flirting but so far I don't see/have heard any romance happening between MC and any of the other boys. I would say it acts a lot like Obey Me but WAY less spicy. I'm not sure why they don't just commit to joseimuke.
I'd call it a soulful cashgrab, there's love in the writing and translation, and the characters are fun, but, yeah...the mechanics and the gacha are SO pay to win.
As someone who's been following this game since early development, I am kinda upset that it turned out like this. I was hyped for the OG and even when it changed I was hyped for it. I guess they all can't be winners lol

But when they announced that they were going to totally change the concept, I was wary and decided to wait before trying it. And after seeing what other people have said about this game, I'm glad I didn't waste my time, but so sad that we'll never get what the original vision for Tokyo Debunker was advertised to be.
This I feel like not enough people talk about it. Like whatever this is it's night and day from the original. First thing that pulled me off was the announcement that they were changed to the stereotypical high school setting. Then the character designs were even worse. The new concept just wasn't interesting at all.

It's a shame that this game has sprinklings of really good art and genuinely fun story among a whole bunch of ai art and scummy practices. If they ever invest in replacing the ai art in the game and just improve the drop rates a bit, it wouldn't be too bad. It's honestly so frustrating that I know they'll never do that cause I can see a lot of potential here 😔
So this is just Twisted Wonderland at home. Also even the webcomic like portraits is ai generated. You can tell if you pause it at the right time. Some of the characters clothes and limbs won't make sense.

I've been playing the game since it came out, and it turns out it's 500 pulls for an SSR. What makes it worse is that it resets after every character banner. Which is insane considering how expensive it is for a tenfold pull.
It sucks that everything in this game is a shit show cause i thought it was gonna be a good horror story from the ads but of course we cant get good things anymore without the company low balling us

I think the creativity of the monsters is not the point. It is a story setting in which well known horror monsters are real. The creativity should be found in the way the characters deal with it and there emotional struggles in a world like that. I have not played it enough yet to judge wether they did this well, but that the monsters are based in known horror stories is not necessarly bad
The "monsters" are based on the japanese folklore (yokai, ghouls, djinns, evil spirits etc.) and the devs focused more on how the characters deal with their inner demons or try to break off their pacts with demons. Moreover, there's a real backup story about Japan and how people believe in paranormal events and illusions, like in the tale of Urashima Taro and the Dragon Palace (Ryugujo) in Episode 3 (Jabberwock). The story is actually darker than TWST or Obey Me, because of the education staff and teachers of the Darkwick Academy that keep the ghoul students locked in the school and do research about them, like prisoners or test subjects. Please take the devs and artists seriously, they really did their best to make a deep story with serious and meaningful topics. Plus they made the characters have a deep background story, they are not just good or bad persons. They are actually kept away from their family and sacrifice themselves to help the human civilians be safe and to bring peace in Tokyo city. It's not just about teenagers and young adults dealing with teenager problems but they deal more with their mental health problems and their dark past life as humans. It's not worth it to mock the hard work of the devs and the way fictional characters look or act.
Finding out this was the studio that made Evertale was like the final piece of the puzzle. No wonder this was such a mess. This was always a grift I suppose. So wild.
Oh yeah, I remember seeing ads for Evertale and thinking it looked cool, then going to the app store and being confused because the screenshots didn't really show gameplay like the ads showed... and then doing a quick Google search to find out about the blantantly false advertising. I played this game while screen sharing on sleepover room (Discord voice chat) and I noticed so much AI art involved and gameplay is incredibly unplayable (the worst part was the cat tile piano copycat rhythm game). Also this game had too many popular anime and game references which is not good and it's hard to stick into this game. I already deleted this game after reading the reddit and Twitter threads regarding about the game's AI art. It fucking sucks that they didn't stick to their original concept of the game.
I think the biggest mislead of this game is that it isn't an actual otome game. You can't date any of the guys. I would call it a joseimuke like twst. I remember how disappointed I was realizing I was not able to date the characters. 😂 All in all, I can see the critics of this video, and I agree on a lot of them. Tho I have to say I enjoy this game a lot. Just ignore the shop and have fun with it. I honestly love the story!

ngl I was interested with this game because of Tohma since his character desc is so Octavinelle coded, also he's voiced by FREAKING. KOMADA. WATARU!!! Ofc I was more tempted to download this game...and that I did (I know shame on me). Then I realized that he's an Etsy version of Jade💀💀down to his voice and mannerisms too and it just made me cringe so bad. The voice acting really carried the whole game imo, LOVE Kaito and Lucas in the prologue they're literally the reason why I still had this game on my phone and not immediately uninstalled it after I found out how convoluted the game features were. Also idk why I haven't seen anyone mentioning this but Kaito is literally Zenitsu from Demon Slayer but with freckles???😭😭 Also I just realized that Towa (the white haired guy from Jabberwock) literally look and act like Misumi from A3!, they have the same seiyuu too😭😭😭😭just what the hell is this game, it's like a crossover of popular characters from popular fandoms

as a game artist graduate student, i agree to this video. i had literally just played this game for an hour when i realized the art looks especially sus, the images in the personality quiz at 10:07 are all different styles which is already a huge red flag where the top right looks like a more digital paint style and the hourglass looks like its in the typical ai generated style, now that i can see the images more clearly than on my phone, the wine glass in the middle of the images in the top right is floating, it's not even connected to anyone's hand. the moment the backgrounds loaded from the webcomic style, it instantly became low res, i had thought it was just a mistake and that the artists had accidentally placed either a compressed version or had it in a different resolution than intended but this video had adequately explained from 9:18 onwards i had watched the ads and had immediately thought it was clickbait and it was just a misleading ad just like evertale, but out of boredom i decided to try and i was surprised that the assets are actually part of the game, i was so glad. but then the tutorial section made me think twice about playing this game, it is just so painful to see so much being low quality and the mechanics arent even mechanics anymore, theyre just buttons and everything auto plays for you, theres just no substance to it on top of that, after hearing the intention they had previously at 14:17 i was shocked at how different they had changed everything. i thought that it was quite interesting and having fewer love interests is actually better, players can pour all their attention onto one and spend more time and money on that one. there being 21 charac is just too overwhelming and the current selection doesnt show much personality at all (but maybe except a few like taiga), even the descriptions dont help much in showing who they are which is a huge shame because the voice acting is amazing and the animations are actually pretty good. but theres just so much else thats against it that i just deleted it after playing like an hour or two i disagree that changing the female character from a manager to a student is a good idea. while yes, everyone does know the feeling of going to school and being a student, but it's just overused that maybe being a manager can actually help the game from standing out from competition. plus, being the manager meant that they could actually kept the idle gameplay of upgrading rooms, it would have made more sense and connects gameplay with lore. they could have done and explore so much more in the previous storyline that i cant help but be mad about the poor decisions on top of the poor management and work environment stated 18:40 onward. i didnt care much for the horror aspect, in fact, i dont even consider it horror at all, but i couldnt even reach the mystery part of the game because of how bad it has been so far and disappointed about what it couldve been if they hadnt steered so far from their initially plans...
just so you know, you can play the rhythm game again if you failed it. its within one of the sidebar options. it also tells you the name of the music within it which is nice.
actually, even if you don't fail, you can replay any of them, it's the right of the screen and i think it's the bottom most button (off the top of my head)
I genuinely went into this game blind, drawn by the ADs that made it seem promising, and as i went through the game I kept thinking about how everything about this game was eerily similar to Twisted Wonderland, a game I already had experience playing in. When I saw the Background CGs and realized that they were AI generated that's when all the red flags finally started to show. While I've found this story arguably more interesting than that of Twisted Wonderland because the MC feels more included, I just can't overlook all the blaring issues. Ultimately I decided to drop this game because not only does the Twisted Wonderlandesque way of going about the story in which your selected love interest doesn't really actually interact with the MC at all nor is part of the whole plot of the story and you don't even get a pre-intro to get to know him or any of the other characters before chosing, but also because there's practically no gameplay to this game, whereas Twisted Wonderland offered more in that department.
I was so disappointed when I downloaded the game to play. It had so much potential and looked so much fun when they first announced it. As time went by, I watched their art, gameplay and story changed so much as compared to their first announcement. Hope they will take your feedback and start changing the game to be more playable and engaging for players.
its actually insane how many of the game characters are "inspired" from characters in other otome/joseimuke games??? at least half of the characters have some kind of similarity in design to an existing character... the most jarring character for me was the towa guy, who not only has a very similar character design to misumi ikaruga from A3! but also his exact personality and even the same voice actor😭also the game constantly drops name brands without any kind of parody/name change (ex. RUclips, Tiktok, Starbucks) which really makes me concerned for the legality of the game?? or did they also waste money buying trademark licenses??
FRRR they just copy-pasted Misumi without changing most of the character's characteristics, they also copy-pasted Jade Leech from Twst, changed his appearance a little and named him Tohma😭
here to add that haku is literally yamato from idolish7 and haru is pretty much just a red version of sasara from hypmic. hes even got the kansai accent. kinda scares me at how they had the nerve to literally just copy-pasted these characters
And this is why I'm upset that Ayakashi Romance Reborn got nixed, it was actually pretty good with supernatural themes set in historical 1900s Japan. Mostly strong plot lines, gacha wasn't particularly obnoxious, had dedicated romance even if it wasn't an otome in the sense that you didn't make relationship choices that impacted affection or anything like that. Would've loved to see it continue.
I KNEW THE NAME WAS FAMILIAR! I remember the original premise of the game and was so excited, especially since I was a huge Otome back 2019. When I kept getting ads for the new Tokyo Debunker, I was confused because the name sounded familiar but didn’t look anything like the game I remember pre pandemic. I’m so sad they threw away the original concept because I think it would have been so cool, not just some twisted clone. I also can’t believe one of the first demons things they encounter is fricking slender man. I couldn’t stop laughing, they put a creepy pasta in the dang story
I feel like the mc stutters a little TOO much. Like bro could start a conversation and she'd go "N- No!" Or "O- Oh..." and it pisses me off how she doesn't come out of her shell or even attempts to. Like i get it. You somehow transported there, you found out you could die etc. But literally nobody's gonna bite you in the ass since most are just doing school and outside activities. Even jin went "She's always walking on eggshells around me. Its annoying. " like this is why u my fav boo. ALSO KAITO IS SO ANNOYING- LIKE EVERY LITTLE THING HE SCREAMS AND There is WAYYYY to many similarities with him and zen. Simp,scaredy cat,loud,yellow hair, similar cut(who was his barber???),loud 2 and zenitsu was a little more relatable and had more depth than kaito even though i love the duo

The story, while quite generic is not that bad and I enjoyed it. ( I think one of the scenarists had written some stories for Promise of Wizard and Helios Rising Heroes. Peak lore) As a Joseimuke enjoyer, and never seen the ads before, the lore is within the range of my taste. However, beside the story and character design, the game is full of cons. First with AI backgrounds (as someone with drawing as hobby, it was quite obvious) and the horrendous drop rate in the gacha. However that wasn't the worse because I know a game with similar con but were still enjoyable : he fact they don't give players enough free ressource to help them to progress in the game is really really low. As a F2P, you barely can compose a decent battle team without grinding. Also, they block you if you have the GUT to denounce the fact they used AI, which is really low. I personally still play for the lore but I won't pay for anything. ( and it lacks of content )
@@meissavinsmoke3273 Oh it took me some chapters to be sure it was really ai, but I'm quite familiar with how ai art looks so I usually can spot any AI anime style easily. But yeah, backgrounds ai are often tricky because you need to find the woobly details and a lot of people don't pay attention to background art.
What a shame, the horror/mundane moments were really enjoyable to me. (I do love me some internet legends horror) The idle gameplay is not my jam but tbh I have other Gachas on my phone so it made management of the game easy. But yeah the Gacha system is bleak and not for the future. Thanks for making this! So many red flags about the game's history/company.
I honestly was pretty disappointed that there was not as much horror as the ads say but other than that I think it's a pretty good game! The story is really creative, and I like the characters but the game honestly has a few flaws. 1. The battles/raids. I think that the battle system is not really engaging, and the battles are too strong, and the raids are always IMPOSSIBLE to beat. 2. The gacha system. I think that there should be a separate gacha for the game, separating warding and character cards. Also, the main problem is that the gems are REALLY hard to get 3. The rhythm game. The rhythm game is nearly impossible to time to the music, and it's so laggy to actually play it.
The glasses guy kinda reminded me the glasses teacher in Enstars (I don't remember his name). Funnily enough that teacher is also voiced by Komada Wataru...

I tried playing it because a character caught my eyes. Basically, this is how it went for my experience with the game: I spent a whole month saving diamonds until his banner arrived -> started pulling once his new banner arrived -> the banner gave everything else other than the character card -> now i'm broke and his banner had ended -> left the game for good What I love from this game is the characters and the plot (especially the guy I love sm), everything else is garbage and a train-wreck. I used to be a TouRanbu player and I could say that game actually give you more rewards to progress than TKDB smh

Honestly, at first i thought it would be a Horror game with lots of different gameplay because i only saw the adds. Then i discovered by downloading it that it was another Otome gacha game that made me immediately think of Twisted Wonderland so i realized it was only a thirst trap and you could never date the guys in game and have a happy romantic ending so i was doubble disappointed. I never looked really much into the background art so i didn't realize in 3 chapters that the backgrounds were blurry or light was off or anything. About the Gatcha part, even with weak cards and never getting a SSR it's still easy to win by upgrading low cards so you don't really need to spend any money on it if your only interest is the curiosity of what will happen in the main story. I know the story can be cliche and unimaginative sometimes but it's up to your tastes in quality in a story. The only thing that really bothered me was that we can't do shit in the battles against the monsters ( and the fact that i didn't understood why the game was called "Tokyo Debunkers" because we're rarely in the streets in Tokyo and we're not focused on the debnking of anything)
It sucks because it feels like there is a lot of missed potential with this game so far :( I’ve been playing since day 1 and have been keeping with it since I’ve been enjoying the story somewhat (despite the obvious ai art and blatant character inspirations that are to the point of rip offs) but the gacha is just disappointing to the point I don’t even pull for anyone. My guild and I are all pretty much f2p. I can still remember how bad the raids were on day 1 and how everyone was freaking out about them in the world chats because no one could even do them lol I just really wish the devs would improve on stuff instead of blocking all criticism coming their way because the story isn’t terrible. But I’m also a huge sucker for games like twisted wonderland and mahoyaku so I’m a little biased I know it probably won’t change anytime soon considering the company but damn…it still sucks lol
Finally someone's talking about this game 😭. Beside shitty gacha and even shittier use of AI, this just a bunch of popular media smush together like HP, JJK, Kimetsu no yaiba and some of the basic rigging sprites from Twst. I quit it after 4 days 😞

It actually doesn't have it categorized as an otome so calling it an otome just because its a female mc and a band of boys is misleading.it's labeled as a simulation. Honestly, there are a lot things that can be improved but for once, there is a simulation game where they characters aren't cookie cutter "nice with some quirks" where true love conquers all their problems. Some positivity among all the negativity: -its voiced - there are the visual novel aspect that gives an whole new layer to a simulation game. It feels much more story like that just seeing a still with a character that moves side to side and has one or two movements. -the world is actually super interesting and has a lot of potentional. The game just started so yeah there are things are to work out but overall, its pretty decent. I think one thing that people forget is that not every game you play has to be the next big, huge thing. It can be enjoyable and be less "popular". In reference to the actual video: Not sure why you were surprised/making fun the prolouge, especially for the "now their an honor student and oh its also a special ceremony night" Thats a completely normal plot device. Twisted wonderland, you get hit by a magical horse wagon and wake up in a coffin on ceremomy night" ikemen prince you get the attention of the princes of your kingdom as and then get chosen out of all the women in the kingdom to choose the next king. I could go on. Its just a plot device and honestly being thrown into the supernatural world, heck yeah we need to go to class. And people had only unlocked up to chapter 3 because those were the only ones available. They're releasing chapters over time, like many games. The game is far from perfect but it doesn't deserve the harsh hate its gotten so early in its development. The ads are quite irritating but most lower budget games have shitty ads. I also just like we actually have real characters. Yeah some of them are shitty. They made pacts with demons and now have supernatural powers. 😂
i honestly didint care the amount of deals because lot of gacha games i play have many beginner deals but now that you listed them i see how many there are. i didint mind the story being kind of everywhere and having lots of references, i thought that was pretty fun. the game has amazing voice acting and has super cute cats and monsters, but they decided to ruin it with stolen art. and also it pisses me off that they block the ppl talking abourt the AI imagery like at least admit it??

omg im actually really glad this video was made because i felt insane being tokyo debunker's only detractor. the artstyle reminds me a lot of the game mahoyaku and of course enstars....... i've heard the initial version of tokyo debunker got compared to other otome games too...i saw someone online in 2019 say something like "please stop comparing tokyo debunker to other otome games! it's different!" lol
I honestly only downloaded the game because of that one guy who reminded me of Barbatos & Jade. It didn’t even take half an hour for me to quickly become bored and delete the game. You can tell because I don’t know who that character’s name actually is, probably because I didn’t play enough, considering I didn’t even make it past the prologue.

I've also seen what you have done to the paintings...
i got into the game about 2 months ago and what's really kept me going with it is a) the story bc it's honestly really solid and definitely the game's strong point and b) my fellow guildmates and playing game of claws where guilds battle each other and get rewards the actual gameplay section is horrendous bc other than leveling up and choosing your line up, there's no other way to control what characters do what and when and you're reliant on the game's ai to not be stupid. plus the actual combat mechanics and stats are not explained in the tutorial, i had to search reddit for answers based on what more veteran players have observed and figured out but what i find most insulting is the purchasing power of diamonds in the game. i don't play very many games like this, so maybe this is completely normal, but if you go to the diamond shop you can purchase diamonds with money and at first it seems pretty okay. the cheapest is 80 diamonds for $1.59 (USD bc that's where i am) and the most expensive being 5k diamonds for $99.99 and if you're like me, you'd think to yourself 'wow 5k diamonds is going to get me pretty far considering the fact it's literally one hundred dollars,' but that's where you'd be wrong. when you summon characters, you're not just summoning character cards, you're also summoning warding cards, which when corresponding warding cards are together, that character gets a slight stat bonus and you can level up the warding card as well, but a _singular pull_ is 200 diamonds and a 10x pull is 1980 diamonds. so that means if you pay them $100, you only get 20 total pulls of both character and warding cards. and the pity system is absolutely horrendous. if there's an ssr card of a character you really, really want, it's going to take 500 total pulls until the game will give it to you and it doesn't carry over if you miss the deadline before the banner is replaced with another character you can also use diamonds to pull from mr mo's gold mine which can give you ore to craft more powerful equipment or from the moonlight ritual which can give you moonlight paint used to level up your warding cards and both of them allow one free pull everyday and after that it's 300 diamonds for 1 pull or 2980 diamonds for 10 and the pity system is slightly better, you're guaranteed 3 paints after so many summons and your chances of pulling gold ore increase after certain milestones, but both of those reset after a few days and you're back at square one the price at which they sell diamonds just isn't worth their in-game value at all.
Also point to add the rhythm game (/side game) is EXTREMELY laggy, I can't count the number of times it just straight up stopped showing me images for a few seconds and made me loose the mini-game. Or sometimes not even register that I clicked, I know when its my fault and I accept when I made horrible moves but some deaths are completely unfair. I'm seriously disappointed how junky the gameplay itself can be and I'm not even someone who knew the OG game, so I cant imagine for those who did. However, I still like the storyline regardless, I feel like they focus more on the characters and their relationship instead of the romance, which I appreciate. But the fact that our choices don't change anything yet like all those other otome games is seriously tiring me up. I can imagine how hard it would be to do so many side stories and variants, but I would at least like to have different infos on the character depending of the choice, so that my actions have some sort of impact on my vision of the characters. They could not care to do this, on top of the grab money. It's quite unfortunate really, the original story had so much potential to stand out from the other games and actually be remembered for the good reasons. Too many writers should the easy option and it makes me sad how they never dare say a story that actually matters.
When I played it, i literally immediately got those hellish paywalled tapping games vibe that you need to play to get free items. Haven't progress that far but i genuinely like the game (for now).

The original premise reminds me of Devil's Line. There's a special group within the Japanese police force who're Devil's and half-Devils (basically vapmires), with at least one human to keep an eye on them. Their job is to apprehend other Devil's if they are being suspected of harming humans (if they smell or see blood they quite literally go feral; it's not as bad for the half-Devils if I remember correctly but it's still pretty bad). I haven't read it in quite a while so I don't know if it's on-going, completed or was dropped, but yeah, the original premise remnded me of this one!
In all honesty, I was fine with the game and all... even with the original concept basically being thrown away to a new one. And the story is also quite interesting.. the reason why I dont mind much of it was because the first scene intrigued me... especially after we picked a character to save. Thats the only main motivation for me to play it especially because the game isnt really f2p friendly... the gameplay was eh... (I got annoyed at some point) but yeah.. Getting 10 gems every episode, 110-115 arena awards, 100-300 gems for the quest things, gems giveaways in the guild was fine... I mean whats free is free.... and a game is a game.. I like it.

Well i install this game and play cause 2 people in followed on twtr working on this game 1st the translator and 2nd the monster character designer. Knowing they using AI for background and too much reference makes me want to uninstall it but the monsters design are so cuteee
I was curious about the game at first but not really now when seeing all the AI art and that there isn’t much real gameplay. Also there's a website for it but its not even updated with the other characters and even with the characters shown, it doesn't tell you who the voice actor is and all the birthdays say 'Coming soon' i also feel like it would have been more fun with the original concept because now it just looks like its copying twst, enstars, obey me, etc.

looks ok but their is only so much time I can devote to phone games and it dosnt seem to stand out compered to fate and twisted wonderland. How they even failed to make it an Otome game: romantic sure if you love to be harassed and play the obedient girl who apologizes while she is forced to do whatever those guys want - more like a game for guys who like that. We need some serious character development here! I'm not the only person who wants an option to tell them that they cannot talk to the MC that way!

Hello. I have a question since my friend started playing the game yesterday and is curious about it. I want to ask whether the game functions had any improvement lately?
LMAO I learned everything by myself (was too... well... unwilling to chat in the chat) exceot for how to effectively make my characters strong. I started playing last friday evening. And spent the whole if yesterday (saturday) playing because i liked the story. Like yeah, i was indeed, nevermind the suspicious background and all. Also, didn't care much about the "battles". I love that i can skip that because really, the only reason i stayed in the game was to read the story. So yeah. They should have just made it into a webcomic. 😅 Anyways, everything was fine and all until i hit episode 2 chap. 31. The chapter is locked cause i apparently had to defeat case34. So that was where my 1st struggle was. So i had to go learn about the gems and buy them but other than, there's nothing else i can do. I wish i can just farm for specific materials so i can make my cards stronger and defeat case 34 but there isn't anything. Just leveling up and waiting at the idle part of the game. It took some hours but thankfully i eventually defeated case 34 and finished episode 2. Now im stuck waiting for i dont know just to get enough materials to improve my cards again to defeat case 38 and start reading episode 3. This gave me the opportunity to really look into the game. I've already done the gacha 2x (2 x10 pulls) i got lucky getting an SSR warding card on my 1st x10 and 2 SR warding cards on the 2nd but idk... I didn't feel like they helped. Specialling since the link ability thingy is unavailable because i dont have the SSR and SR character cards that pairs with it. Also... I did notice what a cash grab it was. The first time i took a break from the story to look at other areas of the game, everything was just screaming "give me your money". Like really... WHO LOCKS A BEGINNER'S BANNER BEHIND A PURCHASE????!!! the fck is that??? All of the important things has to paid via diamonds. And there's so many shops for it. My dude at least let the Basic Summon use a different token for summoning! Ot make it a least a little cheaper since it's "basic" summon. Also they only give out SR at the beginning. I was expecting it'd be a basic SSR of our chosen character like most games do. Or better yet... That we actually get into the house we got as the result in Prof. Hyde's test. I was excited to look into Obscura-something house since that's what i got. And i'd really love for our MC to have eyes at least (lol) and wear the uniform of the house we get in. That would be cool. 😅 I hope they really improve on the game tho. Plus more outside interactions with the characters - both from the house we got, and our chosen character at the beginning. Cause like... What's the point of all that?? Might as well give us like a beginning gacha like in EnStars.
I agree with everything specially more interactions with the ghoul we chose. As for the house we got in the very beginning, it didnt matter since mc ended up living in a whole different building where it used to be a house that isnt there anymore.
I just downloaded it tonight to see what the annoying ai ads were showing… and like the only thing of value is the story. Sure the art is nice and characters are interesting and animation is fun…. But like, there’s no gameplay. It’s all idle. I actually enjoyed playing AFK Journey and Lovebrush Chronicles when I had them installed. They were fun games with story. :/
I didn't even get passed the prologue. The ads were promising both the horror aspects and the NSFW aspects. The minute you shared EverTale and ZigZaGames I knew why I was turned off by the male characters so much despite taking so much from other male characters. If the game is just like the ads, that would have been so helpful. The initial concept had more attractive guys imho. Don't know why they just destroyed all of their old stuff in favor of AI backgrounds and unappealing Live2D models. Maybe they should have studied their playerbase more because choosing between the male characters was kind of a nightmare tbh because none of the guys really drew me after looking at them long enough. And the cats... I'm not a cat person so the whole cat collecting thing was the last straw for me. If ZigZaGames just made the game they were advertising or at least kept it simple like their 2019 concept, all could have been forgiven. But I was turned off fast by the school setting which was why I uninstalled fast and went about my day with other games like Live A Hero (from LIFE WONDERS who made Tokyo Afterschool Summoners, a game that I think Tokyo Debunkers should have taken more inspiration from if they wanted to still go with the school concept - I just like Live A Hero because I like being an adult lol), Twisted Wonderland (Twst being mentioned here was funny. Tokyo Debunkers couldn't even get the Twst elements right) and most recently, Black Star Theater Starless (from the creators of Tokyo 7th Sisters, DONUTS GAMES and their music is pretty good if not better than Uta no Prince-sama. Not up there with Idolm@ster though) which I warmed up to much faster by comparison due to the male cast having more thought put into their character design and what their group chemistry should be all about. Tokyo Debunkers gave most of their cast the same short haircut which makes their silhouettes blend too much for me in my opinion. Kind of sucks when you see characters like Takumi from the 2019 concept in the game in some of the ads but he was nowhere to be seen in the cast you get to choose from.
It’s really disappointing how this game turned out. I was honestly really enjoying the story bc it has all of my favorite elements.I’m hoping they try to fix this(even though they’re known to be a quick cash grab company)

I played the game. The Gacha sucks and I was gonna quit it until I joined a guild and played Game of cats. From there I met the community that has been formed and everyone is just super nice. I’ve mostly met married couples on here trying to have a good time. Love ea-6 sever. ❤

- *Does the game actually have otome aspects in it? No.* There's only flirting but so far I don't see/have heard any romance happening between MC and any of the other boys. I would say it acts a lot like Obey Me but WAY less spicy.

As someone who's been following this game since early development, I am kinda upset that it turned out like this. I was hyped for the OG and even when it changed I was hyped for it. I guess they all can't be winners lol
I know, it seemed like such a cool concept. I remember following it right when it came out and being hyped for it. But when they announced that they were going to totally change the concept, I was wary and decided to wait before trying it. And after seeing what other people have said about this game, I'm glad I didn't waste my time, but so sad that we'll never get what the original vision for Tokyo Debunker was advertised to be.
This I feel like not enough people talk about it. Like whatever this is it's night and day from the original. First thing that pulled me off was the announcement that they were changed to the stereotypical high school setting. Then the character designs were even worse. The new concept just wasn't interesting at all.

It's a shame that this game has sprinklings of really good art and genuinely fun story among a whole bunch of ai art and scummy practices. If they ever invest in replacing the ai art in the game and just improve the drop rates a bit, it wouldn't be too bad. It's honestly so frustrating that I know they'll never do that cause I can see a lot of potential here 😔
So this is just Twisted Wonderland at home. Also even the webcomic like portraits is ai generated. You can tell if you pause it at the right time. Some of the characters clothes and limbs won't make sense.

I think the creativity of the monsters is not the point. It is a story setting in which well known horror monsters are real. The creativity should be found in the way the characters deal with it and there emotional struggles in a world like that.
I have not played it enough yet to judge wether they did this well, but that the monsters are based in known horror stories is not necessarly bad
The "monsters" are based on the japanese folklore (yokai, ghouls, djinns, evil spirits etc.) and the devs focused more on how the characters deal with their inner demons or try to break off their pacts with demons. Moreover, there's a real backup story about Japan and how people believe in paranormal events and illusions, like in the tale of Urashima Taro and the Dragon Palace (Ryugujo) in Episode 3 (Jabberwock).
The story is actually darker than TWST or Obey Me, because of the education staff and teachers of the Darkwick Academy that keep the ghoul students locked in the school and do research about them, like prisoners or test subjects.
Please take the devs and artists seriously, they really did their best to make a deep story with serious and meaningful topics. Plus they made the characters have a deep background story, they are not just good or bad persons. They are actually kept away from their family and sacrifice themselves to help the human civilians be safe and to bring peace in Tokyo city. It's not just about teenagers and young adults dealing with teenager problems but they deal more with their mental health problems and their dark past life as humans. It's not worth it to mock the hard work of the devs and the way fictional characters look or act.

I played this game while screen sharing on sleepover room (Discord voice chat) and I noticed so much AI art involved and gameplay is incredibly unplayable (the worst part was the cat tile piano copycat rhythm game). Also this game had too many popular anime and game references which is not good and it's hard to stick into this game. I already deleted this game after reading the reddit and Twitter threads regarding about the game's AI art.
It fucking sucks that they didn't stick to their original concept of the game.

ngl I was interested with this game because of Tohma since his character desc is so Octavinelle coded, also he's voiced by FREAKING. KOMADA. WATARU!!! Ofc I was more tempted to download this game...and that I did (I know shame on me). Then I realized that he's an Etsy version of Jade💀💀down to his voice and mannerisms too and it just made me cringe so bad. The voice acting really carried the whole game imo, LOVE Kaito and Lucas in the prologue they're literally the reason why I still had this game on my phone and not immediately uninstalled it after I found out how convoluted the game features were. as a game artist graduate student, i agree to this video. i had literally just played this game for an hour when i realized the art looks especially sus, the images in the personality quiz at 10:07 are all different styles which is already a huge red flag where the top right looks like a more digital paint style and the hourglass looks like its in the typical ai generated style, now that i can see the images more clearly than on my phone, the wine glass in the middle of the images in the top right is floating, it's not even connected to anyone's hand. the moment the backgrounds loaded from the webcomic style, it instantly became low res, i had thought it was just a mistake and that the artists had accidentally placed either a compressed version or had it in a different resolution than intended but this video had adequately explained from 9:18 onwards
i had watched the ads and had immediately thought it was clickbait and it was just a misleading ad just like evertale, but out of boredom i decided to try and i was surprised that the assets are actually part of the game, i was so glad. but then the tutorial section made me think twice about playing this game, it is just so painful to see so much being low quality and the mechanics arent even mechanics anymore, theyre just buttons and everything auto plays for you, theres just no substance to it
on top of that, after hearing the intention they had previously at 14:17 i was shocked at how different they had changed everything. i thought that it was quite interesting and having fewer love interests is actually better, players can pour all their attention onto one and spend more time and money on that one. there being 21 charac is just too overwhelming and the current selection doesnt show much personality at all (but maybe except a few like taiga), even the descriptions dont help much in showing who they are which is a huge shame because the voice acting is amazing and the animations are actually pretty good. but theres just so much else thats against it that i just deleted it after playing like an hour or two
i disagree that changing the female character from a manager to a student is a good idea. while yes, everyone does know the feeling of going to school and being a student, but it's just overused that maybe being a manager can actually help the game from standing out from competition. plus, being the manager meant that they could actually kept the idle gameplay of upgrading rooms, it would have made more sense and connects gameplay with lore. they could have done and explore so much more in the previous storyline that i cant help but be mad about the poor decisions on top of the poor management and work environment stated 18:40 onward. i didnt care much for the horror aspect, in fact, i dont even consider it horror at all, but i couldnt even reach the mystery part of the game because of how bad it has been so far and disappointed about what it couldve been if they hadnt steered so far from their initially plans...
just so you know, you can play the rhythm game again if you failed it. its within one of the sidebar options. it also tells you the name of the music within it which is nice.
actually, even if you don't fail, you can replay any of them, it's the right of the screen and i think it's the bottom most button (off the top of my head)

I genuinely went into this game blind, drawn by the ADs that made it seem promising, and as i went through the game I kept thinking about how everything about this game was eerily similar to Twisted Wonderland, a game I already had experience playing in. When I saw the Background CGs and realized that they were AI generated that's when all the red flags finally started to show. While I've found this story arguably more interesting than that of Twisted Wonderland because the MC feels more included, I just can't overlook all the blaring issues. Ultimately I decided to drop this game because not only does the Twisted Wonderlandesque way of going about the story in which your selected love interest doesn't really actually interact with the MC at all nor is part of the whole plot of the story and you don't even get a pre-intro to get to know him or any of the other characters before chosing, but also because there's practically no gameplay to this game, whereas Twisted Wonderland offered more in that department.
I was so disappointed when I downloaded the game to play. It had so much potential and looked so much fun when they first announced it. As time went by, I watched their art, gameplay and story changed so much as compared to their first announcement. Hope they will take your feedback and start changing the game to be more playable and engaging for players.
its actually insane how many of the game characters are "inspired" from characters in other otome/joseimuke games??? at least half of the characters have some kind of similarity in design to an existing character... the most jarring character for me was the towa guy, who not only has a very similar character design to misumi ikaruga from A3! but also his exact personality and even the same voice actor😭also the game constantly drops name brands without any kind of parody/name change (ex. RUclips, Tiktok, Starbucks) which really makes me concerned for the legality of the game?? or did they also waste money buying trademark licenses??
FRRR they just copy-pasted Misumi without changing most of the character's characteristics, they also copy-pasted Jade Leech from Twst, changed his appearance a little and named him Tohma😭
here to add that haku is literally yamato from idolish7 and haru is pretty much just a red version of sasara from hypmic. hes even got the kansai accent. kinda scares me at how they had the nerve to literally just copy-pasted these characters

When I saw that the beginner summon was locked, I assumed it was based on our level. I couldn't believe it was locked behind buying gems.
And this is why I'm upset that Ayakashi Romance Reborn got nixed, it was actually pretty good with supernatural themes set in historical 1900s Japan. Mostly strong plot lines, gacha wasn't particularly obnoxious, had dedicated romance even if it wasn't an otome in the sense that you didn't make relationship choices that impacted affection or anything like that. Would've loved to see it continue.

When I kept getting ads for the new Tokyo Debunker, I was confused because the name sounded familiar but didn’t look anything like the game I remember pre pandemic. I’m so sad they threw away the original concept because I think it would have been so cool, not just some twisted clone. I also can’t believe one of the first demons things they encounter is fricking slender man. I couldn’t stop laughing, they put a creepy pasta in the dang story
I feel like the mc stutters a little TOO much. Like bro could start a conversation and she'd go "N- No!" Or "O- Oh..." and it pisses me off how she doesn't come out of her shell or even attempts to. Like i get it. You somehow transported there, you found out you could die etc. But literally nobody's gonna bite you in the ass since most are just doing school and outside activities. Even jin went "She's always walking on eggshells around me. Its annoying. " like this is why u my fav boo. ALSO KAITO IS SO ANNOYING- LIKE EVERY LITTLE THING HE SCREAMS AND There is WAYYYY to many similarities with him and zen. Simp,scaredy cat,loud,yellow hair, similar cut(who was his barber???),loud 2 and zenitsu was a little more relatable and had more depth than kaito even though i love the duo

The story, while quite generic is not that bad and I enjoyed it. ( I think one of the scenarists had written some stories for Promise of Wizard and Helios Rising Heroes. Peak lore) As a Joseimuke enjoyer, and never seen the ads before, the lore is within the range of my taste. However, beside the story and character design, the game is full of cons. First with AI backgrounds (as someone with drawing as hobby, it was quite obvious) and the horrendous drop rate in the gacha. However that wasn't the worse because I know a game with similar con but were still enjoyable : he fact they don't give players enough free ressource to help them to progress in the game is really really low. As a F2P, you barely can compose a decent battle team without grinding.
Also, they block you if you have the GUT to denounce the fact they used AI, which is really low.
I personally still play for the lore but I won't pay for anything.

@@meissavinsmoke3273 Oh it took me some chapters to be sure it was really ai, but I'm quite familiar with how ai art looks so I usually can spot any AI anime style easily. But yeah, backgrounds ai are often tricky because you need to find the woobly details and a lot of people don't pay attention to background art.

What a shame, the horror/mundane moments were really enjoyable to me. (I do love me some internet legends horror) The idle gameplay is not my jam but tbh I have other Gachas on my phone so it made management of the game easy. But yeah the Gacha system is bleak and not for the future.

I honestly was pretty disappointed that there was not as much horror as the ads say but other than that I think it's a pretty good game! The story is really creative, and I like the characters but the game honestly has a few flaws.
1. The battles/raids. I think that the battle system is not really engaging, and the battles are too strong, and the raids are always IMPOSSIBLE to beat.
2. The gacha system. I think that there should be a separate gacha for the game, separating warding and character cards. Also, the main problem is that the gems are REALLY hard to get
3. The rhythm game. The rhythm game is nearly impossible to time to the music, and it's so laggy to actually play it.
The glasses guy kinda reminded me the glasses teacher in Enstars (I don't remember his name). Funnily enough that teacher is also voiced by Komada Wataru...

I tried playing it because a character caught my eyes. Basically, this is how it went for my experience with the game:
I spent a whole month saving diamonds until his banner arrived -> started pulling once his new banner arrived -> the banner gave everything else other than the character card -> now i'm broke and his banner had ended -> left the game for good
What I love from this game is the characters and the plot (especially the guy I love sm), everything else is garbage and a train-wreck. I used to be a TouRanbu player and I could say that game actually give you more rewards to progress than TKDB smh

I don’t understand why they make you pick a character before you’ve seen their personality play out I did notice the similarities of different games but I think the story is cute I wish I picked a different character though
Honestly, at first i thought it would be a Horror game with lots of different gameplay because i only saw the adds. Then i discovered by downloading it that it was another Otome gacha game that made me immediately think of Twisted Wonderland so i realized it was only a thirst trap and you could never date the guys in game and have a happy romantic ending so i was doubble disappointed.
I never looked really much into the background art so i didn't realize in 3 chapters that the backgrounds were blurry or light was off or anything.
About the Gatcha part, even with weak cards and never getting a SSR it's still easy to win by upgrading low cards so you don't really need to spend any money on it if your only interest is the curiosity of what will happen in the main story. I know the story can be cliche and unimaginative sometimes but it's up to your tastes in quality in a story.
The only thing that really bothered me was that we can't do shit in the battles against the monsters ( and the fact that i didn't understood why the game was called "Tokyo Debunkers" because we're rarely in the streets in Tokyo and we're not focused on the debnking of anything)
It sucks because it feels like there is a lot of missed potential with this game so far :(
I’ve been playing since day 1 and have been keeping with it since I’ve been enjoying the story somewhat (despite the obvious ai art and blatant character inspirations that are to the point of rip offs) but the gacha is just disappointing to the point I don’t even pull for anyone. My guild and I are all pretty much f2p. I can still remember how bad the raids were on day 1 and how everyone was freaking out about them in the world chats because no one could even do them lol I just really wish the devs would improve on stuff instead of blocking all criticism coming their way because the story isn’t terrible. But I’m also a huge sucker for games like twisted wonderland and mahoyaku so I’m a little biased
I know it probably won’t change anytime soon considering the company but damn…it still sucks lol

Finally someone's talking about this game 😭. Beside shitty gacha and even shittier use of AI, this just a bunch of popular media smush together like HP, JJK, Kimetsu no yaiba and some of the basic rigging sprites from Twst. I quit it after 4 days 😞

It actually doesn't have it categorized as an otome so calling it an otome just because its a female mc and a band of boys is misleading.it's labeled as a simulation. Honestly, there are a lot things that can be improved but for once, there is a simulation game where they characters aren't cookie cutter "nice with some quirks" where true love conquers all their problems.
Some positivity among all the negativity:
-its voiced
- there are the visual novel aspect that gives an whole new layer to a simulation game. It feels much more story like that just seeing a still with a character that moves side to side and has one or two movements.
-the world is actually super interesting and has a lot of potentional. The game just started so yeah there are things are to work out but overall, its pretty decent.
I think one thing that people forget is that not every game you play has to be the next big, huge thing. It can be enjoyable and be less "popular".

Thats a completely normal plot device. Twisted wonderland, you get hit by a magical horse wagon and wake up in a coffin on ceremomy night" ikemen prince you get the attention of the princes of your kingdom as and then get chosen out of all the women in the kingdom to choose the next king. I could go on. Its just a plot device and honestly being thrown into the supernatural world, heck yeah we need to go to class.
And people had only unlocked up to chapter 3 because those were the only ones available. They're releasing chapters over time, like many games.
The game is far from perfect but it doesn't deserve the harsh hate its gotten so early in its development.
The ads are quite irritating but most lower budget games have shitty ads.
I also just like we actually have real characters. Yeah some of them are shitty. They made pacts with demons and now have supernatural powers. 😂

i got into the game about 2 months ago and what's really kept me going with it is a) the story bc it's honestly really solid and definitely the game's strong point and b) my fellow guildmates and playing game of claws where guilds battle each other and get rewards
the actual gameplay section is horrendous bc other than leveling up and choosing your line up, there's no other way to control what characters do what and when and you're reliant on the game's ai to not be stupid. plus the actual combat mechanics and stats are not explained in the tutorial, i had to search reddit for answers based on what more veteran players have observed and figured out
but what i find most insulting is the purchasing power of diamonds in the game. i don't play very many games like this, so maybe this is completely normal, but if you go to the diamond shop you can purchase diamonds with money and at first it seems pretty okay. the cheapest is 80 diamonds for $1.59 (USD bc that's where i am) and the most expensive being 5k diamonds for $99.99 and if you're like me, you'd think to yourself 'wow 5k diamonds is going to get me pretty far considering the fact it's literally one hundred dollars,' but that's where you'd be wrong.
when you summon characters, you're not just summoning character cards, you're also summoning warding cards, which when corresponding warding cards are together, that character gets a slight stat bonus and you can level up the warding card as well, but a _singular pull_ is 200 diamonds and a 10x pull is 1980 diamonds. so that means if you pay them $100, you only get 20 total pulls of both character and warding cards. and the pity system is absolutely horrendous. if there's an ssr card of a character you really, really want, it's going to take 500 total pulls until the game will give it to you and it doesn't carry over if you miss the deadline before the banner is replaced with another character
you can also use diamonds to pull from mr mo's gold mine which can give you ore to craft more powerful equipment or from the moonlight ritual which can give you moonlight paint used to level up your warding cards and both of them allow one free pull everyday and after that it's 300 diamonds for 1 pull or 2980 diamonds for 10 and the pity system is slightly better, you're guaranteed 3 paints after so many summons and your chances of pulling gold ore increase after certain milestones, but both of those reset after a few days and you're back at square one
the price at which they sell diamonds just isn't worth their in-game value at all.

Also point to add the rhythm game (/side game) is EXTREMELY laggy, I can't count the number of times it just straight up stopped showing me images for a few seconds and made me loose the mini-game. Or sometimes not even register that I clicked, I know when its my fault and I accept when I made horrible moves but some deaths are completely unfair. I'm seriously disappointed how junky the gameplay itself can be and I'm not even someone who knew the OG game, so I cant imagine for those who did. However, I still like the storyline regardless, I feel like they focus more on the characters and their relationship instead of the romance, which I appreciate. But the fact that our choices don't change anything yet like all those other otome games is seriously tiring me up. I can imagine how hard it would be to do so many side stories and variants, but I would at least like to have different infos on the character depending of the choice, so that my actions have some sort of impact on my vision of the characters. They could not care to do this, on top of the grab money. It's quite unfortunate really, the original story had so much potential to stand out from the other games and actually be remembered for the good reasons. Too many writers should the easy option and it makes me sad how they never dare say a story that actually matters.

The original premise reminds me of Devil's Line. There's a special group within the Japanese police force who're Devil's and half-Devils (basically vapmires), with at least one human to keep an eye on them. Their job is to apprehend other Devil's if they are being suspected of harming humans (if they smell or see blood they quite literally go feral; it's not as bad for the half-Devils if I remember correctly but it's still pretty bad). I haven't read it in quite a while so I don't know if it's on-going, completed or was dropped, but yeah, the original premise remnded me of this one!
In all honesty, I was fine with the game and all... even with the original concept basically being thrown away to a new one. And the story is also quite interesting.. the reason why I dont mind much of it was because the first scene intrigued me... especially after we picked a character to save. Thats the only main motivation for me to play it especially because the game isnt really f2p friendly... the gameplay was eh... (I got annoyed at some point) but yeah.. Getting 10 gems every episode, 110-115 arena awards, 100-300 gems for the quest things, gems giveaways in the guild was fine... I mean whats free is free.... and a game is a game.. I like it.

I was curious about the game at first but not really now when seeing all the AI art and that there isn’t much real gameplay. Also there's a website for it but its not even updated with the other characters and even with the characters shown, it doesn't tell you who the voice actor is and all the birthdays say 'Coming soon' i also feel like it would have been more fun with the original concept because now it just looks like its copying twst, enstars, obey me, etc.

LMAO I learned everything by myself (was too... well... unwilling to chat in the chat) exceot for how to effectively make my characters strong.
I started playing last friday evening. And spent the whole if yesterday (saturday) playing because i liked the story. Like yeah, i was indeed, nevermind the suspicious background and all. Also, didn't care much about the "battles". I love that i can skip that because really, the only reason i stayed in the game was to read the story. So yeah. They should have just made it into a webcomic. 😅
Anyways, everything was fine and all until i hit episode 2 chap. 31. The chapter is locked cause i apparently had to defeat case34. So that was where my 1st struggle was. So i had to go learn about the gems and buy them but other than, there's nothing else i can do. I wish i can just farm for specific materials so i can make my cards stronger and defeat case 34 but there isn't anything. Just leveling up and waiting at the idle part of the game. It took some hours but thankfully i eventually defeated case 34 and finished episode 2. Now im stuck waiting for i dont know just to get enough materials to improve my cards again to defeat case 38 and start reading episode 3. This gave me the opportunity to really look into the game. I've already done the gacha 2x (2 x10 pulls) i got lucky getting an SSR warding card on my 1st x10 and 2 SR warding cards on the 2nd but idk... I didn't feel like they helped. Specialling since the link ability thingy is unavailable because i dont have the SSR and SR character cards that pairs with it. Also... I did notice what a cash grab it was. The first time i took a break from the story to look at other areas of the game, everything was just screaming "give me your money". Like really... WHO LOCKS A BEGINNER'S BANNER BEHIND A PURCHASE????!!! the fck is that??? All of the important things has to paid via diamonds. And there's so many shops for it. My dude at least let the Basic Summon use a different token for summoning! Ot make it a least a little cheaper since it's "basic" summon. Also they only give out SR at the beginning. I was expecting it'd be a basic SSR of our chosen character like most games do. Or better yet... That we actually get into the house we got as the result in Prof. Hyde's test. I was excited to look into Obscura-something house since that's what i got. And i'd really love for our MC to have eyes at least (lol) and wear the uniform of the house we get in. That would be cool. 😅
I hope they really improve on the game tho. Plus more outside interactions with the characters - both from the house we got, and our chosen character at the beginning. Cause like... What's the point of all that?? Might as well give us like a beginning gacha like in EnStars.
I agree with everything specially more interactions with the ghoul we chose. As for the house we got in the very beginning, it didnt matter since mc ended up living in a whole different building where it used to be a house that isnt there anymore.
I just downloaded it tonight to see what the annoying ai ads were showing… and like the only thing of value is the story. Sure the art is nice and characters are interesting and animation is fun…. But like, there’s no gameplay. It’s all idle. I actually enjoyed playing AFK Journey and Lovebrush Chronicles when I had them installed. They were fun games with story. :/
I didn't even get passed the prologue. The ads were promising both the horror aspects and the NSFW aspects. The minute you shared EverTale and ZigZaGames I knew why I was turned off by the male characters so much despite taking so much from other male characters. If the game is just like the ads, that would have been so helpful.
The initial concept had more attractive guys imho. Don't know why they just destroyed all of their old stuff in favor of AI backgrounds and unappealing Live2D models. Maybe they should have studied their playerbase more because choosing between the male characters was kind of a nightmare tbh because none of the guys really drew me after looking at them long enough. And the cats... I'm not a cat person so the whole cat collecting thing was the last straw for me.
If ZigZaGames just made the game they were advertising or at least kept it simple like their 2019 concept, all could have been forgiven. But I was turned off fast by the school setting which was why I uninstalled fast and went about my day with other games like Live A Hero (from LIFE WONDERS who made Tokyo Afterschool Summoners, a game that I think Tokyo Debunkers should have taken more inspiration from if they wanted to still go with the school concept - I just like Live A Hero because I like being an adult lol), Twisted Wonderland (Twst being mentioned here was funny. Tokyo Debunkers couldn't even get the Twst elements right) and most recently, Black Star Theater Starless (from the creators of Tokyo 7th Sisters, DONUTS GAMES and their music is pretty good if not better than Uta no Prince-sama. Not up there with Idolm@ster though) which I warmed up to much faster by comparison due to the male cast having more thought put into their character design and what their group chemistry should be all about. Tokyo Debunkers gave most of their cast the same short haircut which makes their silhouettes blend too much for me in my opinion. Kind of sucks when you see characters like Takumi from the 2019 concept in the game in some of the ads but he was nowhere to be seen in the cast you get to choose from.

I played the game. The Gacha sucks and I was gonna quit it until I joined a guild and played Game of cats. From there I met the community that has been formed and everyone is just super nice. I’ve mostly met married couples on here trying to have a good time. Love ea-6 sever. ❤

came to watch this video because i didnt know anything about this game but i DID remember the old version ads from 2019 lol. but apparently it's making loads of money in japan (it ranks just below ensemble stars in joseimuke sales as of typing this, also it's above my currently beloved 18trip) and i'm wondering how when it seems so fishy?! either the story and characters must be really gripping or idle building gameplay really does do its job in getting people to spend 😣 also many tweets im seeing about it from japanese users are mostly people complaining about the misleading or scary ads
