    Hello-
I am sorry about the bad video quality and editing issues with this video. I tried out a new editing app for this video which clearly did not work

It’s inevitable that lower frequency alarms will travel further because lower frequencies travel further when talking about basically anything. including cell service. Awesome video! 👌👍

I swore the Wheelock 7002Ts were super loud at the Vermont Achievement Center residential homes. I think there were only a few that were quiet, one with the strobe too fast and another one where the strobe was like 1 flash per 5 seconds! Even a single one would wake me up, even when not directly on the other side of a bedroom wall. And there's one I remember where, it was loud, even when I moved far away from it, to inside a bedroom and it still feeling much like I was standing next to it! That was a place with an FCi FC-72 FACP. On July 5, 1994, I moved to a school that went with Simplex. The 7002Ts were before I moved. (The 7002Ts were at places I lived at from 1988-1992) The previous school, had bells!

I think at the V.A.C. residential homes, the 7002Ts were installed in 1989 or 1990, along with the FCi FC-72 FACPs. There were only stand-alone smoke alarms before that.

I haven’t watched the video yet because i am at school but pretty much any mechanical horn or bell can be heard very well through walls

If he had a Simplex 4030 (Loudest AC Powered fire alarm) then it would penatrate the walls the best and be #1 because it makes a 60/120 Hz Sound which is lower than than a 2901-9838 as the low frequencies would travel very far through walls and no obstructions of objects

Why didn't we hear the 4903-2900 the first time?

wild guess; the low frequency sounder goes through the wall best because of well.. the low frequency. edit when i watch the entire thing
edit: i never saw the low frequency alarm get tested and the wheelock bell repeated... is it just me having covid or am i seeing this right?

Ive now watched the video and in my last comment i was about right, the mechanical horns were heard better through walls than electronic horns

Is the Wheelock Exceder good at penetrating walls? If so, is it any better than the NS? Also, between the Wheelock Exceder and Simplex TrueAlert, which one is better at penetrating walls?

Only 83 DB at maximum?! That reminds me of the '9833s near the gym of my last school.

Yeah, they seemed quiet, I won't be surprised if there's a wiring problem or an FACP problem.
