Reminds me of the time the fire alarms went off while I was at the Great Wolf Lodge in 2016. The rooms had Genesis devices, woke us up at 8 in the morning. Luckily, it was only a false alarm.
One of my all time favorites of alarms! They are very effective (unlike their panel, smoke, and pull counterparts). They are easy to install and sync with other devices of their type. Have you heard of the new led series from edwards?
@@djifirealarms Yeah. The 270spo is awful especially with a cover. I pulled the alarm for a drill once (i have footage) in a field house with an EST system and the 270 siga pull was a nightmare. I mean it was bad already with the screw, but the cover made it so i had to fight with the station and the cover to get my flathead in. I don’t even know why the UL listing says its even compatible! Overall EST has a bad reputation for cheap equipment that constantly goes into false alarms. The only thing they’ve done right is the genesis series.
Nice test also do those ESL detectors come in just heat detector models? I saw one in a kitchen and I didn’t think they would have a smoke detector there

The EST genesis has to be my fav for how compact, effective and modern looking is. Imo the design of it was ahead of its time

the 278B is a bad overall design, and the 270-SPO has that crappy safety screw.
