I'm glad to hear that the teahouse won't be shuttered any time soon- I'm going to be in Austin in November for Whiskey Marketing Level 1 and I'm really looking forward to stopping in! I was getting a little worried that it might not be open when I'm there, so I'm very happy I'll get to come and see it! Also, it turns out I live in one of the states where Desert Door is sold, I'll have to try it soon!
I bought a bottle of Desert Door after tasting a sample at a Total Wine in Austin a few years back. I have since made certain that there is a back-up in my bar.

It's really excellent. I bought a bottle a couple years ago. The aged version. Fantastic.
