Thank you for the video. After searching and researching how to change the cabin filter in my mining cooper., your video was the only one that helped me I tried pulling the cover off like others said to and it wasn’t wanting to let go until I found your video and seen that the plate under the glove box needed to be removed first. So after a few minutes CB of watching your video with my brothers assistance doing the work, we managed to complete the job with no issues. Thank you again!
Thanks for this! It was very helpful. At first i was thinking removing that bottom panel was unnecessary, but it is only 2 screws and it does make swapping out the filters a lot easier, so might as well do it. OF COURSE, when i pulled the old filters out of mine, they had been installed backwards. So it's a good thing i swapped them out! Remember to keep an eye on the air flow arrow! It should be pointing towards the rear of the car.
@@brettfrantzen7425 No video, but good video idea! Typically either the neck has broken off the washer reservoir or you pump on the reservoir is leaking. More than likely your neck is leaking.
I have a 2020 Cooper Countryman S... but the panel on the side of the console looks different. It doesn't have a pull handle like the one you show. Is are the cabin filters still in the same place as you depict? Is my 2020 Countryman S an "F-Chassis"?
Some of the vehicles do not have the exact same panel, yes, but all remove the same way. Use a corner on the bottom of the trim to gently remove the trim from its clips. Hope that helps!
Great video but my god please say at the start this is for US spec. As others have said UK is the drivers side thought i was going insane not being able to find it. It being on the drivers side means the footrest is in the way. So awkard but still a 5 minute task once you're in the right place
It makes it easier to uninstall and reinstall the side panel without any trouble. Some models have it, some don’t and I typically take it off to not struggle with the side panel.
I typically change mine every 6 months because they’re relatively cheap and I have easy access to them, but I’d say for you every year. Helps with keeping your car smelling clean also. That’s my favorite about it.
I personally only have experience with LHD vehicles, but it should still be in the same location on either side. There’s a small door with a clip that holds the door shut in which the filters are located.
@GavinBlaesner Maybe I didn't look far back enough. Have another go next week. From what I gather it's should be on drivers side. Don't fancy taking under glove compartment bit off again. Thought I never get it on again. 8-)
@@GavinBlaesner Done it. It was right at the back. Where you'd expect it to be really. Obviously didn't look hard enough. It was on drivers side, being a RHD. I guess they wouldn't need to alter position for LHD or RHD. Your video was still very helpful. Much appreciated.
After MANY wrong videos this was a huge help. This was the video that got the job done. Thank you so much!
Thank you!
Thank you very much! Nice smooth voice and good camera setting. Great help!

Good Job, thx. Well done.
It's hard to replace, thanks for the video
Great video ! Completed the job with ease
Thanks for the comment!
Do you have a video on a leaky washer fluid issue ?? Or any idea what it is, pump or tank itself ?

@@GavinBlaesner thanks man , it might be the pump , don’t think the neck is crack . Wife’s BMW same issue . Looks like a bitch to her to ugh ..
Got an F56 now. Much more fiddlier to do than it was on my Cooper S N18!
Haha VERY easy on the R cars, yeah! Little more difficult on the F cars for sure 😂 can’t have the average Joe doing their own maintenance at home 🤫 🤐
The cabin air filters and its location appear to be the same as a BMW i3.
Thank you
No fun doing this !!! I must be too old and inflexible. Thanks for the very helpful video. Mine is a RHD.
Nice thank you. Dealer want 250 to replace them..
You should mention if these are typically sold in pairs or not.
YES sold in pairs!

Totally unnecessary to take off that first panel underneath glove box, otherwise a good video.

i woulve obstructed the removal of the side panel, it makes it easier
the same part number works with a 2015 cooper s right? f56
Yes! All F cars!
Anyone know the part number for that under dash cover?
Side panel or the first panel that’s under the glove box
Just a curiosity: what's that thing with a connector at 1:46? I've always wondered what's there 🤔
Emergency Speaker for vehicles with teleservices
@@GavinBlaesner wow 😯 would've never thought of it... thank you!!
How often does this need replacing?

I change mine every 30 000 km
I've taken the sides off twice on both sides and still can't find the location. 2019 mini classic. RHD
