If you have a problem as I did getting the assembly to turn when reassemgling, simply install the bulb into the headlamp and then push the wire harness onto it. much easier.
Per GPT: It is not safe to touch the bulb of a halogen headlight with bare hands. The oils and grease from skin can transfer to the bulb, creating hot spots when the bulb is in use. These hot spots can lead to premature bulb failure due to the uneven heating and increased pressure inside the bulb. When handling halogen bulbs, it's advisable to use gloves or a clean, lint-free cloth to avoid direct skin contact.
nice video, but did you change the high beam or low beam or they are both using the same bulb ? never done it before, try to replace it after 5 years of use.
interesting the 2018 highlander has dust cover for low beams and i was not able to install led bulbs, the space is extremely tight the bulb's heatsink wont fit. do you know if 2017 also comes with dust cover for low beams?
@@JasonsHonestReviews thank you so much for labeling the video. its correct, the 2013-2016 highlanders don't come with dust covers for low beams. i just watched a lasfit video, they have special leds to fit the odd design of low beam housing. The 2017+ models come with dust cap for low beams.
1:01 Rotate 90 degrees, not 45... But we get the picture. Thank you for posting. I want to replace my car's bulbs, just need to find the best out there.
Confusing. Is there a low-beam light bulb and then a separate high-beam bulb? If so which does this video cover? Where is the video showing how to install the other bulb? How do I determine which of the two bulbs I should order?
One suggestion: wear neoprene gloves when changing the bulbs to avoid getting skin oils on the glass. Very helpful walk-through!
Thank you - I have learned that since making the video. I wish I could redo it
As a women trying to do this before work. I thank you. And I’m glad I don’t need any tools

Which bulb did you change.... was that the low bulb.... and what would happen if we actually touched the bulb??

That's my understanding as well. Should have mentioned that in the video. Thanks!
Thank you. I actually used this guide for the Toyota Sienna.
Super helpful. Thanks for the vid!
will it work on 2012 highlander too?
Helpful. Thanks.

Thanks for making this video..

“Pop the trunk” to change the headlight, huh? Do you roll the windows down to add fuel?
Think he meant bonnet lol
Sometimes... Sometimes
Yes! Now we're on the right track. Haha. No, I just made a slip up

toyota for the win
Right?! I love Toyota. Thanks for the comment
I replaced the bulb however its still not turning on. Any ideas of where the problem could be?
Hmm... I would check your fuses next. And make sure the bulb is firmly attached

Check again. If it is a quarter of a circle, it is 90 degrees... I just replaced the bulbs in my Highlander a few minutes ago. You're killing me....
Jason, thanks for the video! Was extremely simple to do and you were correct it is 45 degrees.
Thank you señor!
Thanks!

You're welcome, Joe!
it work on my 2011 limited hlder...ty
but my highlander has this cover around it?
@@JasonsHonestReviews 2016 it has this dust cover thingy and i can not fit anything in that since its so close/near the edge except for the oem 1
Good video but I think you pointed to low beam and said that it's the high beam and vice versa.
Whoops - might have done
Just like what it says in the owner's manual.
Thanks.
what bulb size is that
What's the bulb type for parking lights. Mine has that right under the high beam light.
Yes front. It's a small bulb right under the high beam globe.
Confusing. Is there a low-beam light bulb and then a separate high-beam bulb?

thats definently the hood that you popped, not the trunk. otherwise helpful video
Yeah, whoops. Misspoke there
No one has actually taken the bulb off though..
Thanks
