Great video! I want to unlock the handstand pushup. I've been doing pushups, situps, squats, and running every day for the last month. I'm going to start practicing handstands next, and wall handstand pushups.
Never thought I'd see the day that Sylvester Stallone would be teaching me how to unlock calisthenics skills. Seriously, though, thanks for the video, man!
Such high quality channel bro continue nad want to ask what do you think about greasing the groove for increasing reps in pull ups (i can currently do around 7 clean)
Thank you for your comment!Greasing the groove can definitely be beneficial on days when you feel great, to squeeze out a little bit more performance! In general, if you feel it helps, then absolutely do it before hopping straight into the first sets!💪
Very good Video, packed with facts. Calisthenics needs more good reliable sources on YT not only the typical three channels that come to mind as soon as you think about it. As constructive criticism: the Video whould do way better, if you focus more on professionality and a little bit less on jokes. This doesn't mean, that you shouldn't include jokes but something like "Oh, there you are..." doesn't catch me personaly. Maybe try to emphasyse more on the way you strucure the Video - even though I'm sure you allready put allot of effort into this! As an inspiration: Jack Sather. Allthough he makes gaming content he is, in my opinion, a prime example of good and appealing video design. And I just watched one video of him a few days ago but it stayed in my memorie. I think his videos are simmilar in their approach to yours so maybe he could be an inspiration for future videos.
Great program and quality + i do weighted calisthenics i train 5 days a week 1 heavy pull a push And 1 light push and pull and legs do you think is good to do this program twice a week
Thank you for your comment! What exactly do you mean by “do you think it’s good to do this program twice a week?” Because, it depends on the element your chasing aswell as many other variables 🧐
As someone often regarded to have "good genetics" but have actually studied this stuff, I have to say that genetics isn't really as much of a factor as to put it in the "backbone" of calisthenics. Programming, consistency and intensity of training are probably the right ones.
This was super helpful ! I'm already using something similar to this method without even knowing for my front lever , but the sets number is different for each exercise ,here comes my question , isn't sometimes more than enough to do 4 sets , and sometimes you need more , or just 4 will do the job?
Great question! We are super big on experimentation, and we believe that you always have to find what works best for you specifically. So, to answer your question, absolutely. On days when you feel great, you should absolutely try to push your limits. And on days where you might feel worse, definitely dialling back the intensity/volume can be a good idea! This method isn’t perfect for everyone, but it’s a very good base to start playing around with and see what parts work best for you💪
i got it from 2 focus points: working on hollow body and leg lifts for the lower stability; and working on engaging my lats for the upper. I found squeezing the negative as you go from horizontal to vertical to help me the most in that progression
@@Garo173 of course at the end of the day, it’s everyone’s choice on how to train, but we as coaches and PRO athletes now the best on what to do and how to train, so what we’ve seen works best for our clients and us is to train each skill seperately, to not waste energy on combined skills if You will combine them, You will not be able to do either of skills with full potential.
In the past, I used to train legs for football training now I don't however it's been more than half a year and my legs are still the same size and haven't decrease, do you think it that big of an issue because I'm like 80 kg even though my upper body isn't that less than average.
Shouldn't weighted pulls and dips be the final answer to this? Skills get so much easier, some people unlock skills in the first attempt with a good number in weighted pull up and dips
@@abdulkaium1199 maybe, for small percent of people weighted would work, but generally that’s not a good idea, because in order to get strong in certain position, skill, You must train that certain skill, strength will not transfer from weighted strength to skill strength, in weighted calisthenics, it’s a vertical pull or push, no holds, no levers, pure explosivity however in skills Your arms hold in different angles, every single part of Your body has to be engaged this could go on and on, so, unfortunately no, that would not be the final answer.

Ok but none of this is new nor secret. Basic principles that have been discussed for decades, either by the actual top athletes themselves or presented in depth through literature (i.e. Overcoming Gravity - Steven Low). That being said the production quality of the video is quite high, which makes it entertaining. It just reduces this to a very fancy re-telling of "discovering fire! + product placement". Look, I get it. You're athletes trying to make a living out of the sport. So you make a brand then proceed to sell anything you can, from coaching to courses to meal plans. Nothing new nor out of the ordinary, lots of identical behaviour from far bigger calisthenics brands.
