Now you've found her, I suggest you find out more about her.
One of the greatest yet too often overlooked musicians in the world, right there.

I just love ms Norah Jones. I use to put my now 13yr nephew to sleep to her song Chasing Pirates when he was a baby and he still remembers that..

Norah Jones will definitely take your stress level way down. I think I've listened to every one of her recordings. For a more jazzy sound check out Norah Jones and the Peter Malick Group "Strange Transmissions". Also "New York City"

She really deserves the success she received for her debut album. Please react to Norah Jones - "Cold Cold Heart" and "Chasing Pirates."

She also played the piano, which is why they go together so beautifully here. Another reason is that she is the daughter of the very great Ravi Shankar, so there is no way that she did not absorb all that talent and wisdom. Check out her father's song, "Prashanti" with Phillip Glass. Another timeless masterpiece.

Have you heard "She is just a baby" from princes 1980 dirty mind vault? And "In a large room with no lights" from the Crystal ball period 1986-1987. Definitely two of his better unreleased songs.

I could never get into her…. After sweeping the awards show/s the first year on the scene….against IMO FAR more talented artists.
But then, I’ve heard better soloists at my BF tiny little church in a teeny little town…. Than I’ve heard in ‘popular music’ in many years. People get record deals ….for the most part…. For all the wrong reasons.
And PS. I’m NOT saying she sounds bad.

I would say your welcome to your opinion, but when that opinion dismisses a talent like Jones on some anonymous acts your annoyed she "blocked" in an award ceremony she didn't even expect to contend, sorry, no, your not welcome to such an opinion. Because it is WOEFULLY uninformed. You realise she did so well in 2002 because she was seen as a TONIC to the kinds of act you seem to imply she was? People brought her debut album as they did, by the early parts of 2003, in excess of 16+ million, because she was ANATHEMA to the kind of pop acts that were prevalent in music at the time.
