Yes, please have Kitty spayed. She’ll be a healthier cat, with a greatly reduced risk of cancer and other tumors. We want our lovely fur babies to be around for a long time!
Kitty sure has a unique sound. My kitty sure is a talker too! Love the style of your men's cards! My husband,as he got older, had an amazingly gaudy Hawaii shirt that he just loved. My conservative guy had a wild side about him. He died over 2 years ago, but when I think about him wearing that shirt, it makes me smile. Thanks for reminding me of that memory with the card making of your loud shirt!
My husband is a fairly conservative dresser, but wow he loves Hawaiian prints! Wild prints with loud colors, the louder the better!

Wow, I have to give you credit - I would never think to google men's clothing for inspiration! These are unique and very stylish! Thanks Anne. Lovely cards, can be used for father’s day too. Re your cat, she may need spaying to stop the constant heat cycle otherwise it may continue. You vet may be able to give medication but that won’t fix the problem as such.

Cats can come into heat from 5 months old. She will do this every 3 or 4 weeks. Please get her spayed ASAP if you don't want kittens. Love your channel. The men's cards are great.
Our vet recommended that we spay our cat at four months old, because they can get pregnant so very young. Go figure! And so we did.
We had our kitties neutered at 5 months. But because of health issues they had when really young, they hadn't really reached an ideal weight to go through that with anesthesia and all. Shelter vet said 2 lbs was fine. I wanted them a bit more robust than that. So when they reached 5 months, the smaller one (who had the most severe issues) was at 3 lbs, and the larger one at almost 4, I felt better about it. They are strictly indoor kitties anyway, but they have slipped out to the deck a few times, but came right back in. Spaying and neutering calms them down, and prevents some health problems later on. Most importantly, it prevents birth of so many kittens that flood the shelters. There are already an abundance of cats, dogs, bunnies, etc.
And then they could have problems because they are just kittens themselves.

Wow, what great ideas! Neither my husband nor my father are into fishing, trucks, barbecuing, tools, or any of the other "traditional" men's card options, so it's always been difficult to find cards that don't have those themes for birthdays or Father's Day. This is a great way of thinking outside the box. I am so amused by your kitty! We also had a female black cat. She passed last year from old age, and I miss her so! She *always* had to have a paw into whatever project I was working on, likely annoyed that I wasn't free to do her bidding (nap on my lap, for example). She haaaaaaad to jump up and check out what I was working on every 10-15 minutes. After many years of feline interruptions, it finally dawned on me to block her path all around me. She could jump up on the far end of the table, but she couldn't get within about 20 inches of me as I was working. That worked quite well. Silly me for not coming up with the idea much sooner in her case (duh)! She had been a foundling on our doorstep when she was no more than five or six weeks old. We've always had our cats neutered and spayed from an early age, even though they were exclusively indoors only (determined cats can and do escape from time to time). Our vet recommended that Zoe be spayed at just four months old, because they can actually become pregnant at that age. Go figure! We did it without hesitation, though she never did escape like our previous littermate brothers had done from time to time, years earlier.
This was a joy to watch, wish more videos had kitties who loved talking in them, but it was made by you responding to her, hilarious and a much needed giggle, also, great card ideas 😂❤🐾
Three lovely cards. How lovely to have kitty joining in. Animals are so loyal and loving Ann you dealt with kitty joining in on the video so well. Your little kitty is very adorable. I can see she brings so much love and fun into your family home and money can’t buy that. 💕🌈🦋💜🐝

I belong to a cat rescue, and your kitty sure sounds like she's in heat and on the pull. She'll still want to craft with you when she's fixed. Lovely cards and kitty added to the viewing and listening enjoyment.

Great idea taking inspiration from Men’s clothing. Father’s Day is coming up next month in the US and you just me a ton of ideas. Enjoy your kitty. But please have her fixed if you don’t want kittens! My various cats personalities never changed after being fixed. Cats are so much fun!
I was also laughing when I heard your cat. My 2 cats were in the lounge with me and both pricked up their ears and were looking for the "intruder" in their house. 😂

Ann, beautiful cards, never thought to take inspiration from what we see that men wear. I was expecting you to be making a tie. My female cat did this when she was in heat, even after being spayed she will do that.

My cat heard your cat talking and came running over to investigate. She was very curious and confused as to where it was all coming from. Great job on the cards. Your inspiration is always inspiring.

Love the cards and the kitty. Our orange tabby went into heat at about 8 months and kept going into heat over and over so quickly we couldn't get her fixed. We had to keep cancelling appointments. Finally the vet even said the next time she stops bring her in the next day and we will get her in. Ha! We love our kitties. 😸

Love the cards. My 18yr old female cat was spayed when she was very young many years ago, and yells like that anyway. It's her way of demanding Lickelix. 😆
Congrats on getting a black cat. They are among the most overlooked because of the superstition surrounding them. Spaying will surely stop a lot of the crying. I love the card ideas! I will definitely try this idea.

I guess I'm an oddball, because I think men's cards are easier than women's.
They're more straightforward, and I lean toward more masculine color schemes myself ( think Tim Holtz distressed/industrial).
I struggle with coming up with brighter colors and feminine themes.
But, that being said, I LOVE your idea of getting inspiration from men's clothing.
I think if you designed a card around your favorite man's favorite shirt, it would be very well received.
"Hey honey, that looks a lot like my favorite shirt...the one with the stains that I wear when I grill steaks!"

what a great idea to take inspiration from clothing I wouldn't have thought about that in a million years, I really loved the first one you did, the floral one could even be made for a female depending on the colours and the last one would be another good one to use up those odd scraps we have building up...................god bless kitty she wanted some of the limelight.

Gorgeous cards - so bold and simple. Great stuff, and so good to get out of one’s comfort zone once in a while. Regarding your cat, cats will continue to come on heat more and more frequently if they don’t “get satisfaction” - and it’s quite distressing for them. If you are not planning on allowing her to have kittens, I agree with the other commenters on here that you should get her spayed. There are so many unwanted kittens in the world and the kitty orphanages are full of them. The optimum age for getting female cats spayed is around 7 months. They won’t do it while she’s still calling, but as soon as she stops, I would suggest that you attend to this as soon as possible - for a quieter life for both you and your beautiful kitty!

Oh... and thank you Ann for all of the great ideas. Looking at men's fashion for inspiration is... inspired! 🥰 You could also cut card into a tie shape and set that on an angle across the card... like you did with the strips on the first card. That second card could be used for a male or female. It's quite pretty but also has a "beach" vibe to it.

My niece is a veterinarian and she suggested once a week give your cat a can of tuna in oil, it helps their dry skin, the shine on their fur and best of all it's a treat they love. 😻🐾🐱🐾

Hi Ann, well I’ve been following you for around 5 years.. something around that I think, but yes this is SO out of your comfort zone but yet again you hit the ball out of the park, the first one in particular immediately made me think of a tie, the second one reminded me of a shirt my brother in law wore back in the 70’s😊
The last one made me think of a nylon polo type top my dad wore in the 90’s they were always nylon weren’t they! Happy memories there though so thank you for that. Lovely to hear kitty interacting and you laughing at her antics. Great video as always Ann, look forward to the 12x12 one.🥰xx

Your cat is gorgeous but she'll keep coming into heat every couple of weeks until she mates. Please get her to the vets to be spayed. I love black cats but a lot of people don't so they are often hard to re-home if you have a litter of them (saying that if we lived in the same town I would gladly have a couple!) You'll probably end up will lots of male cats trying to get in to her while she's calling and they have a nasty habit of spraying everywhere to mark their territory. The smell is vile and hard to shift so keep your windows etc shut for the next few days even upstairs ones. A randy cat is a determined one lol. It was really lovely to see your cat, I hope she'll make regular cameos in the future (I'd love to hear her purring purring,I really miss that sound.)

I had a beautiful black cat and when she was about 7 or 8 she got ovarian cancer and soon went over the rainbow bridge. Then our vet said it was because she wasn't spade. I was so mad. Why didn't he tell me that to begin with. I thought I was being good to her because she was an indoor cat so I didn't put her thru that.
Really nice effect with the embossing for the tie inspiration. I would use three strips across and make them narrower. Now let me get to it. Thanks.

Your cat sounds like mine 🤣 Lots of advice to get your kitty spayed. Mine really calmed down and became more friendly after she had been done. The vet was very clear about the health benefits

Thank you for this idea, I always struggle with man cards. I think I like the blue one best. Side note here, Sarah Wilks mentioned about your cat what I was going too. Please get her fixed, research why it is actually a benefit to her to do so. At the shelter we have them fixed before they are ready for adoption, before 2 months unless their weight is really good and then it is done sooner. Thanks for giving a home to a black cat, they are hard to place. Thank you for your time and tutorials :)
