I am taking this video and using it for something... Evil. Pure burning evil.
Make sure you read the comment by Chana Ellman before watching this video!
Apple recipe reference. 🎉
My boss asked me if I was familiar with mail merging, and thanks to watching your Excel tutorial video, my colleagues now have a newfound respect for me. They are impressed by my knowledge and think I possess various skills. About 30 minutes ago, my boss inquired if I could handle mail merging, and confidently, I responded affirmatively. I promptly referred back to your tutorials, where I learned how to perform the task. As a result, my colleagues have even more confidence in my abilities and regard me as someone knowledgeable.
Thank you very much Mr. Kevin
You did a great job but I think this should be added to the lesson. I found this in the comments below. "Heads up folks, if you’re doing emails, Outlook may send them automatically instead of leaving them sitting in your outbox. If you prefer to double-check your emails before sending, you need to turn off Automatic Send/Receive. To do this, go to File --> Options --> Advanced, and then scroll down to “Send and Receive”. Uncheck the box there, and also open the settings (by clicking the Send/Receive… button) to make sure there are no other settings that might make your messages send automatically. Don’t forget to turn it back on when you’re done with your mail merge!"
Full video on my channel how to setup outlook and how to add email and send bulk emails .
This just happened to me. I had to recall about 30 emails without attachments.
Thank you! this is the exact question I had.
This was also my need, I want a draft first so I can go back in an do final hyperlinks or attachment specific to individuals, but using mail merge to generate the initial draft to save time.
This is great! Just the type of tutorial I need. Straight forward and easy to follow. Keep it up, Kevin!
Just sent an invitation for a webinar for 100 clients; the time invested looking at this video is well worth it-- it defintely beats copying-and-pasting X 100!
I've watched several videos on how to do this and this is the first one that actually made sense and that I've been able to reference back to. Thank you so much!
Thanks a million Kevin! I was DREADING having to figure this out, and you made this so easy and OK! Goodness, I'm so grateful I didn't have to sit here for two days faffing around to make it work without a video tutorial! It means spending more effort on reaching my targets at work and less on figuring out my toolbox...
I did it! Though you may want to warn folks that once you click send email, it's actually sent and not put in a draft folder so you have to be sure about the email before the final click.
I discovered your channel a few weeks ago. You have taught me so much, and I've learned shortcuts and other interesting features I didn't know about before. Your teaching manner is easy to understand and follow, precise and informative. Keep up your good work.
I am a public school teacher who is attempting to send critical information so that my families can have access to personalized materials during the COVID-19 shutdown. This tutorial was so helpful in allowing me to automate this process so that I can efficiently serve my families. Thank you so much for such a clear and direct tutorial!
I need it can't you inbox me?
*_OMG, Kevin! You're a lifesaver. I felt like a god when I was able to execute this successfully. As a Clerk (in a hospital laboratory) having many staff/colleagues to keep track of, this is the perfect way to get things done. Thank you so much._*
Thank you Kevin. You are an excellent trainer! Very professional, engaging tone, concise, clear instructions and examples.
Hi Kevin,
I am an IT professional, but don't do a lot of mail merge tasks, so..... I did a quick search. I found your video by far the easiest to follow and get straight away. You have a good pedagogic stile. concise and clear.
Thank you.
This demonstration was awesome! Thank you so much Kevin.
Great thanks Kevin! I need this for an office task and your explanation is clean and clear. If larger fonts have been used on the WORD and EXCEL documents, that would even be better. But it's already gorgeous now. Thanks again.
Like most, I have watched hundreds of these type vids and without a doubt, this was the best!
Step by step without skipping any steps and without adding unnecessary comments.
Your videos are my go to videos for all the new digital work on Office 365 that I now have to do. Clear, no waffling and straightforward.
Thanks, Kevin! You just made it so easy to know, understand and do. I watched the video at 1.5x for want of time thinking that I might have to watch more than one of them and it still made such perfect sense that I had to look no further. I could use the spare time to leave this note instead.
Thank you. Explained beautifully! You've earned a subscriber!
We just started using MS 365 this week and your video has been a lifesaver for this ancient worker. Thank you for creating these helpful content Kevin!
I never leave comments on videos, but your tutorial was so easy and without all the unnecessary bs that most tutorials do with the subsribe sell etc. I felt like such an expert after watching it. Thanks so much.
This was a really helpful tutorial, very clear and easy to follow. Going to attempt my first ever mail merge today and i think you have saved me hours of work. Thanks Kevin.
Exactly what I was going to say. Very good video.
Straight to the point and easy to understand. Thanks very much!
Thanks! Saved me about 10 hours of work by watching a to the point 7 minute video!
I browsed through lot of mail merge videos but I found this one is very easy to follow up. Kudos Kevin for this wonderful time saving video.
Excellent. So clearly explained. After grappling with this problem for so many days, I could do this in minutes. Thank you!
Dude you are my hero! A Google search was useless, your guide actually worked. I had to email 119 people without anyone else email showing up on the receiving end. This saved so much time!
I need to know whether this can be automated or not: I get one raw data details on excel sheet on mail with attachment, this attached excel sheet gets automatically downloaded to certain location and then macro runs on that excel file as per schedule and then that excel sheet is send to several email addresses as per schedule without human intervention? What is required to do this automation?
Precise, easy to follow tutorial. Thank you, Kevin!
Thank you so much. I've been putting off a task for months. The written instructions online weren't making a whole lot of sense and then I thought to see if there was a video on RUclips. You've saved me so much time :)
Kevin, Thanks so much! You answered all of my questios with ease.
Perfect - exactly what I needed!
This is one of the easiest and cheapest ways for me to have learned how to send an email merge, instead of buying into something that costs and is still complicated. Thank you
Kevin, you are awesome, thank you so much for making mail merge so easy for me. I have read all the different instructions from all the geniuses and from Microsoft and I gave up 1/4 way through until I came across your step by step guidance for dummies. Thanks again
Thank you for this video! This is gonna make my life so much easier! I like the way you explain things.
THANK YOU! I had to do this for an assignment and was clueless before seeing your video.
Finally a tutorial that shows the last step, how to actually send the emails. I have watched 4 before and they all missed that very important step! Love it. You just gained a suscriber :)
This was so helpful! I've done plenty of word merges, but never an email merge. I knew it could be done but just didn't know all the steps in their correct order. Thanks for breaking it down and making it simple!
This was so helpful and explained perfectly, thank you Kevin
Kevin, thank you very much~! I've done this last few times with your video, and now even if I already know how to do it I feel much safer with your voice in the background :)
Thank you - quickly executed the MMerge with an impending deadline!
I've watched this Vid a number of different times. Thank you for making it so easy. I think its because you can really feel the how much you enjoy what you do.
Amazing! Quick, clear and spot on. Keep it going, Kevin.
BRO YOU ARE THE BEST YOU EXPLAINED EVERYTHING I NEEDED TO KNOW THX
Thank you, Kevin, for this tutorial! You don't know how much time I have saved by doing mail merge with Outlook! Keep up the magnificent work in your channel.
Thank you sooooo much. I work in an industry that requires me to email my warm leads and I couldnt use third party email marketing websites due to company compliance reasons and access rejects, but we do use outlook emails and excels. This tip is literally going to save me 2 hours every single day and that is MONEY!! Thank you so much again!
Your explanation was way better to follow and better comprehended than the one given for my online college course. Thank you for the great content! So many awesome features that Microsoft has that I have no idea about.
Thanks Kevin. It's nice to watching you do it vs reading difficult instructions; i think this is the 5th time you've saved me in last 12 months
This was great! Super well done and easy to follow. Helped me with a very important work project. This service is greatly appreciated. Keep up the good work!
This was so helpful, my boss sent this to me so I can learn it during remote. Is there a way to adjust to send from a different account in my outlook?
In Outlook go to File > Account Settings and then set as default the email account from which you want to send.
Thank you! for this amazing video, but I need to ask you, how to choose from which email account to send the emails, as matter of fact I have 5 email accounts in MS Outlook, thanks again and keep the amazing work on.
Did you ever get an answer?
@@RussellWalshAIMDirect I've looked around and tried many attempts, I managed to choose between the accounts as long as there is no Outlook account among them, you can choose the account you want to send from as your default account by clicking on the account settings choose your account then click "set as default".
But this didn't work when my Outlook account was among the Gmail accounts, therefore I deleted my Outlook account.
I used this video for work purposes, honestly I am so grateful for the short and direct instruction. Thanks sooo much
I just got an email campaign assignment from my employer and wasn’t sure how to go about it. I probably would’ve chosen the long way to do this. But your video just saved my life. Thank you so much for creating content like this. I hope to continue learning more helpful tips from you and become marketable as an employee.
Kevin, this was really great and exactly the help I needed! I appreciate you so much for this. Question: If I have an alias email box versus my personal email box, I presume I should have the alias email box open before I begin this process so that the emails come from the alias and not from me, correct?
I have the same question.
ةة
Great overview but is there any way of changing the 'from' email when you have access to multiple inboxes?
I have the same question.
Also could we CC anyone in these mails?
Thanks! This is one of the most helpful and concise Office 365 how-to videos I've come across. I really appreciate the clarity of instruction.
I can’t thank you enough for uploading such simplified tutorials for non techie person like me ! Thank you soo much !!
Thank you for this easy to following video. I just had one problem, when I opened Outlook the emails had been sent. They did not go to my outbox. Did I miss a step or do I need to adjust settings in Outlook?
I think this is a setting on outlook you need to change.
@@chrismorley2560 What setting is this?
If you want to delay the send, before you initiate mail merge, set Outlook into offline mode. This will allow you to review the emails before they go out. Once you're comfortable with the emails, simply toggle Outlook back online.
Is there a way to change the FROM: email different from the person that is sending the eMail merge??
@Aye-B I need to know whether this can be automated or not: I get one raw data details on excel sheet on mail with attachment, this attached excel sheet gets automatically downloaded to certain location and then macro runs on that excel file as per schedule and then that excel sheet is send to several email addresses as per schedule without human intervention? What is required to do this automation?
This was simple, easy, and to the point! Thank you
That was very good. Clear and you get straight to the point. I like the use of the two cameras as well.
bruhhh you explained much clearer than my lecturer lol😂
Great Tut Kevin I wished you zoomed in so we can actually see what you're doing
Simple, short, very easy to understand video. Thank you so much for the explanation, this really helped me 😍
Nice job keeping it simple, informative and easy to follow.
Great tutorial! Thanks a lot!
May I ask for extra help? How can I change the default email in the "from" section of the message? I am also managing the info/inquiry email of our company and I'd like to use that for bulk messages instead of my personal work email. Thank you very much and looking forward to your reply!
Did you ever find out how?????
Same problem to me!
I had the same issue. It sent from the wrong email. Have spent an hour trying to figure out how to not do that again. Still can't figure it out.
Brilliant! This was super easy to follow along. I needed to send out about 35 custom emails, and this made easy work of it. Thank you!
This was so useful, thank you! I've set everything up to send, but it was so much easier to do than I thought :)
Thank you so much, this was a life saver when I needed to send out 57 "personalized" emails about something for work!
I am currently taking an application integration class as one of my core classes and the video lesson as well as the book they have us reading made this appear confusing. Watching this video made it much easier to understand by applying it to a real world scenario. Thank you very much for this!
Thank you so much. I love how you present these tutorials. So clear and helpful.
You are a life saver! I spent days trying to do this through VBA macro, almost gave up and your video popped up! THANK YOU. I'll be sure to follow your other videos as well. :)
Thank you for this excellent video! The information is straightforward and I'm excited to try this out.
Thanks, Kevin. This was quite easy to follow. Much less complex than another instruction video I used a few years ago. Appreciate your instruction. 👍
This was a great tutorial for the email merge. thank you!
Super easy to understand. I wished I had found this video and not spending 20 minutes trying to figure out on my own.
This was exactly what I needed and you were so clear and succinct. I logged in my RUclips just to thank you! Thanks!
Hi Kevin, thank you for this video. Very simple and to the point. Much appreciated
Upvoted and Thanks! The tip I needed was to select the"Insert Merge Field. I did everything right but it didn't work until I did that step. So glad you mentioned it early on in your video! (I'm sure the rest of your video was great!)
Your video alerted me to the minor problem I was having with my mail merge, clear concise, easy to follow - absolute life saver thank you so much

Thank you - we have updated to Office 365 since the last time I had to do a mail merge, this was helpful.
Thanks for simplifying the process Kevin.
So so easy!! I feel like an idiot but I rarely have to mail merge, the few times I have, I go straight to this tutorial for perfect easy peasy instructions!
