This has to be one of the best most in-depth video on high ping I have ever seen thank u for this the graph for the triple edit is the best way to explain it I figured that out by playing high ping for so long but I didn’t think it was a real mechanic but it’s good that people acknowledge it and know to to explain it. as a high ping player I appreciated deserves more views
As a person who plays in the Philippines and have a average ping of 90-120 this is super helpful

i play in philippines too but i get ~25 ping in creative and ~45 ping in pubs. exitlag lowered my ping by a lot

It’s not a 50/50 for taking walls at all I tested this many times I have tested it while being on 60-90 ping against players with an average of 10,20,and 30 ping of which 0/10 did I pull any walls from the 10 ping players 0/10 did I pull any walls from the 20 ping player and 0/10 did I pull the wall from the 30 ping player the only feasible way to consistently take walls on ping above 50 Is to surprise them and 99% of the time it’s just not gonna work so no it is NOT 50/50 and not even 25/75 it’s more like 2/98 chance

Friend, since I have a bad PC, I would like to know which 16:9 resolution is the lowest that I can use? I don't want to lose any fov and gain fps.. is it 1600 x 900? or what is the lowest 16:9 resolution for me to put it on and be able to play with more fps without losing fov...

Amazing content, an idea I'd wish youd explore is the situations where it is better to take out your pickaxe to make the edit. It happens with pre-edits on and youll go to edit your wall and instead ill pre-edit my cone...situations like that or maybe you find the right spot to point the ray cast

Very detailed, and much appreciated. 60 average ping here... (NA EAST, FLORIDA), even with a 1gbps fiber line, wired connection and a 3090ti with a 165hz monitor, at some point I wondered where my skill ends and ping can be blamed, but it seems it's likely my skill most of the time, sadly.

@@nakyu.. To what extent? I'm looking at videos of people triple editing or quad editing in 60 ping+, and sure it isn't as fast as a 0 ping player, but it's possible....
I know ping is important but I don't think it should be used an an excuse all of the time... Not for me anyways.

@@tabalo126 I've played tons of creative maps, scrims, I spectate tons of unreal ranked players, quad editing isn't necessary... Triple editing is, but I've seen people with top tier game sense and aim get by with double edits only and absolutely annihilate other good players...

Watching this video again cause I've been getting better at the game and people have been 0 pinging me. Like any time someone goes for my wall I have to edit out, no other choice, I can't even try to make an edit cause I'll get punished, either they're waiting for me to edit or break my edit which I can defend neither of, so I have to run. Now I'm thinking of only going against players like me, 130 to 200 ping players now lol

hey sly jack ! you just won a subscriber, this has to be the best video explaining high ping. i find this servers thing so unfair. im in ecuador, latin amercia playing on NA EAST ping 90. i know im skilled but ping just does not allow me to compete... epic should look a way to give this part of the world decent servers, brazil does not work if someone is wondering... lowest ping is NA EAST. but yeah. thsi is crazy, thank you for this great vid.

I've been testing this for myself and I can almost 100% guarantee it is NOT 50/50.
Im a pretty mechanical player, I usually play at 60-100 ping (yes it is that unconsistent, tho in game is usually fixated on some value in between, like 80ish ping a whole match) and I take one wall out of six attempts.
Tested in public matches and creative playing against everyone and trying just to take walls. Not only that, also there's this micro second where I can actually see how I placed my builds just to be instantly replaced by my enemy's.
I'd wish it was 50/50 but as a pretty high skilled player I can say it is not true, not to me at least.
And of course, excelent video as always.
50/50' means the chance is random, so it could be either u or him, it doesnt mean that from those 6 matches you should be getting them walls 3 of every 6 matches, doesnt work like that
@@GatoPatataGameplays It still is not a 50/50. Playing for 3 years now on a 80+ ping and I never took a wall first try, sometimes I can not take it for 15 times. It is not a 50/50. Maybe when you holding it, but not when replacing
@@harcha3562 50/50 is a chance, not a statement to be said.
In programming, 50/50 means that anything can happen, meaning that yes, as a matter of fact you might aswell not replace the wall, even after 100 tries.
Just because something is 50/50 it doesnt mean that out of X ammount of times, you are supposed to get it the same ammount, thats not how chances work, just because there is a probability it doesnt ensure that something will go your way

Thanks! There really isn't a perfect sense though, it's really whatever you're most comfortable with. I'd recommend trying out a bunch and use whatever you play best with

Hello Sly Jack i have a question can you tell me if my bind are optimal?: wall- left alt stair-c roof-mouse button flool-x edit-q place building-rmb . only my building bind. ofc i have scroll reset and if a didint mention some bind its defult. Btw thanks for good video.
Its ok except for your edit bind.
You cant make a peanut butter edit while running at the left since you cant press A.
If you really wanna go optimal, you should edit with your mouse so you dont have to take your fingers off the movement keys.

in-game my ping is around 50 but in the aws latency test its a lot higher (around 80). Should I be worrying or epic games is lying to everyone so its fine?

debug ping is incorrect. it subtracts 20-25ms from your ACTUAL ping and adds server side delay which depends on player count and assets in the viscinity.
Taking walls just can't be 50v50 I went into a map with my 0 ping friend and never got his wall onced and he got my every single Time and I'm on 60

Bro wtf are u saying, don't lie to people retake a wall it is not 50/50. It's determinated by ur ping at the moment. I used to play on 30ping with 1-2% packet loss and i couldn't take any wall, 0. Now im playing on 0 ping with delay optimisation and i can take 80% of wall in a game.
