Yep, he's like a FN BR mad scientist who also spends tons of time scripting and editing this stuff. As a gamer dad who's shit at this game but trying to learn anyway, I so appreciate the explanations. My son just jumps in the game and 'gets it', when I need to sit and think first tons of time until things 'click', haha. I just hope Sly Jack blows up and gets well rewarded for his efforts. Recently SypherPK made a shoutout to this channel, so I hope that will do some good.
You just answered a question before I had the question, I was always wondering how players shot me even though I had a right hand peek but now I know all I need to do is back up and keep my distance a little more.
This helped so much. I always played those price control maps and wondered how the AI could shoot me back even though I had the right hand peek. This explains everything in perfect detail.
I understand this and use it against players frequently, its a really good habit to punish bad right-hand peeks and will help alot in most situations

It's a great quality video, dude.
Honestly though this vid is facts, the real power of peeks is movement. If you’re not strafing at full speed, you won’t have peeker’s advantage/favorable character position latency. Just make sure you guys are moving as fast as possible to the side.

im a zero build player but this still gave me some miraculous insights that i will indeed be using in my future games. It shouldve been obvious bc i played val and cs where angle and distance from wall mattered. but in hindsight, i dont think ive played my fights using this. So i definitely will.

I can't wait to see a Fortnite BR creator who comes up with a peeking video that literally covers all (or at least most) scenarios and goes in detail explaining the best approaches in each situation. I know, for many kids it comes naturally. I'm an old (in a Fortnite context) gamer-dad trying to become a better duo for my son, and I have to marinate on every concept for a while... nothing comes naturally and easily, tons of effort. But, when I finally 'get it', then I can start improving first practising in creative with bots, and then on actual players. There are still tons of situations where I'm just not sure what the correct peek would be. Hesitation and sub-optimal peeks get me killed, even though my mechanics are decent (for casual). Thanks for your video.

standing back a bit for the right corner edit doesnt matter very much if you have a fast reset but the window edit definitely matters

Against most players (yes even pros) a bad right hand peek still works in your favor. The damage amount shown in the vid is way lower than the damage the peeker can do with a full peek. I taught myself to be more aware of my health and what peeks i should make.
the point is they can shoot you first so you will die and you take a 50/50 which is bad and even so its not that big of a difference in damage having even a small advantage in damage can turn a fight around
@@vohtq they get the first shot for maybe 12 damage compared to a full 200 pump
@@theo328d look at it this way theres a chance you don't 200 pump everytime so this way is helping to still get a decent amount of damage while also minimizing the chances of taking any

this is called angle advantage and it’s important to note this is important in all shooter games not just fortnite, valorant and csgo are good examples of this being even more important

yes, except for peekers advantage when he opens the window and runs into the peek he has the first peek. so right hand isnt always the answer but peekers advantage is
