      Well, to be honest, people like Dickinson are the exception. Rock Stars might be a bit more conscious and educated or open minded than the average teenage pop star, but they are very often just heavy drinking outcasts or high school drop outs.

    She interrupts him because the show has a time limit, and there other things shes wants to ask him. Also, Bruce is a really good talker who tends to go into tightly knit details about what ever he is discussing, which is awesome! He is a very intelligent guy. What really needs to happen is that he needs to do a 2 hour documentary called: Bruce Can Do It Better for Cheaper! He is correct, the governments of both the US and UK, are black holes, laced with corruption. Nothing new really, it's just how human nature plays out. The civilized world is just going through what Rome went through (history repeats). It's just happening at a faster pace than the 500 years for the decline of the Roman Empire. Bruce should look into running for office. He may be able to slow the decline down a bit, Lol. Up The Irons!

    I started being SERIOUSLY interested in Rock N' Roll only during 2013 because of my office mate at the time. For nearly 4 years I could not listen to Maiden's music. It was too rich in music and very moving.
    Until a dramatic event took place in my life in the fall of 2017. The first of their songs I got attached to is DANCE OF DEATH. There is a small boy in the plot of the song that escapes from that dance of death that was the Black Death plaguing Europe. I am still so emotionally attached to that song that when I play it I get on my knee as the boy in the song plot does. And I used to escape problems, like the boy in the plot. Maiden and their character Eddie have been so instrumental to me that I stopped running from troubles and I started facing them in 2018. In this process, Maiden also unleashed that 'trapped' boy inside my soul. And since then, that boy has also become a writer of kids' short fiction stories, among many other things that I could not even dream of a few years ago.
    Regarding Bruce's business ideas, I think it is laudable. Others have succeeded in this. One name that springs to mind is Niki Lauda.
    The world needs big companies, no doubt about this. But the world needs more entrepreneurs who start small with bold ideas and then change the games.

Do people even listen to Iron Maiden lyrics? It's mostly High Brow stuff...yet they play the clip from "Bring your Daughter to the Slaughter". Could have used New Frontier, Aces High, 2 Minutes to Midnight, Flight of Icarus, 666 etc... What a bunch of hacks.

    Bruce Dickenson's views on tax reformation are more integrated with the general health of the economy than the corporate escalating tax system. • @Sam-mq9cj
      @Sam-mq9cj 6 лет назад +2

      The working class is not conservative, conservative in America is very different to working class in Britain. He's rich, in it for himself, and even publicly announces he'd sooner spend his tax on his own business interests. Erm what?
      Talk about forgetting your roots, a lad from Worksop would rather see his millions go into his business than paying for healthcare for the millions who would never see the sort of money he considers small change.

    • @markusvonroder
      @markusvonroder 6 лет назад +1

      He simply knows that if he spends the money on JOBS he creates, it will do a LOT more good for "working class people" than whatever the government does.

    • @Sam-mq9cj
      @Sam-mq9cj 6 лет назад +1

      The concept of spending money on your own, personal business interests instead of tax which goes on the NHS, education, armed forces, welfare etc. is totally against the working class. He wants to spend that money on his own business ventures so HE makes more money, not for some 'oh look at me i'm giving the working class jobs' bullshit.

    • @markusvonroder
      @markusvonroder 6 лет назад +1

      This is what you're supposed to think when you have been raised to become an Etatist. However, experience shows that in 95 out of a 100 cases, private initiative does better and more effectively than government (hint: It has to do with human nature and incentives).
      And no, if you listen, he is proposing that instead of paying taxes, those are available to people who put them in businesses IN GENERAL. Precisely because businesses build products, which could be the same products the NHS, education institutes or welfare deliver. Just more efficient.
      I'm with you that police, judges and armed forces should be run by a government, because markets will fail to provide the right incentives here. But that is about it.

    • @Sam-mq9cj
      @Sam-mq9cj 6 лет назад

      He wants to put the money into his business in Cardiff, that is what he says. He wants more money for his own business ventures so he can make more money, not for some altruistic belief about job creation.
      He's forgotten where he came from, and he's turned into a money-grabbing fat cat. Look at the money issues his company has had recently and you can see why he'd rather pump more into that instead of pesky taxes.
      Business cannot deliver the same standard as the NHS or Education, they first need a profit which doesn't exist in the NHS. To suggest it is better to have profit driven healthcare is barmy.

    You're implying lefties believe in Santa Clause and 'wiser' overlords, 'what does that even mean?' It's the most unfounded, idiotic statement I've ever read.

    Frustrating interview to be honest, I know it’s not intentional (perhaps) but some of the questions are so patronising and irrelevant. Classic BBC who would never honour actual British legends like Maiden but will invite Ed Sheeran to everything they do and don’t even feature Maiden in their retrospective look at music of the 80s. And brandishing the obligatory pen that never gets used to make it look as though she did her research because she knows who Eddie is

    Good interview. Most interviews like this are conducted by so called music journalists who's questions have all the depth and probity of a rice pudding. Get a serious journalist in and you have a decent and interesting conversation.

    I had to stop watching this half-way through... not because if Bruce, which is as brilliant as ever... but because of that annoying and ridicolous interviewer.

    Always been a Maiden and Bruce fan. And now I find Brassed Off is one of his favourite films. 👌

    Contrary to the Rock 'n' Roll stereotype he strikes me as a man with a wisely invested pension.

    Although admittedly I used bad terminology. He is not a 'religious man' he is a 'man of faith'. Difference being a religion implies an organized belief, within a group of people, and you believe, to some degree that you are right, and no other group can be. Where as a personal faith is a personal faith. It is yours, its personal, and you have no idea whether you are right or wrong, and your okay with that.

    Well, actually, it is both Conservative and Liberal, following Neo-Liberalism and the Washington Consensus. You know those who strive for that 'middle ground'. They compromise their beliefs and they conform.

    Man, Bruce put it so beautifully! Regarding the world and how we are constantly battered with how we are expected to be, so keep hold and protect the childish innocence inside all of us, as just because its said on TV, or a magazine, or the radio, or online...Fuck them, because its been said in the mediums, its truly how it is?...BOLLOX...As I will remain that kid forever in love with Rock n Roll showing me the way.
    Fuck the government,
    You know what I mean?

    Bruce Dickinson is my favorite singer of all time - and to know he is a conservative businessman is icing on the cake. Intelligent contributor to society - not a brain dead, doped out retread like so many other metal bands.
