  • Quick overview of the Morris Minor suspension plus damper oil change and joint greasing.
First time for me changing the oil in the dampers. Both front and rear seem to have different inners side to side.
I used Penrite Classic Shocker Oil No2 which is a 20w as per the manual, so lets see how that goes.
Next time, I'll be looking at adjusting the front ride height.
Please remember, I am not a trained mechanic and what I do may not be the best / correct way but works for me. Videos are made as a guide of how I did it rather than a bible for others to follow.
    Thanks for watching.

I never realised how cheap, weak, and fragile the Morris Minor front suspension was after owning a couple when a young bloke before I got Volkswagon Beetles, the bug suspension was proven as indestructible on the Russian Front and the North African Desert WW2 when they made them as their Jeeps, could you imagine a Morris Minor on the Russian Front or North African Desert, it wouldn't last 5 minutes.

We've never had any part of our Minor fail, and we've had it in the family since '74.

    Super video!!
I live in Romania and for my surprise I found a Morris Traveller here.
Big fan of old detective movies, I bought it.
I need all the knowledge I can get because I want to take good care of such a lovely car.
    Thank you for your videos!!

Oh wow. Congratulations on your purchase. They are really easy cars to work on. Although it's been some years since I did my own maintenance, I'm enjoying getting stuck in again. Hope you find help within the videos to keep your car maintained.

All rear drums are 7 inch but on 1098 minors the fronts are 8 inch.
