I’m a new ER Nurse in a mid. east and I wondered how it’s like in the UK. Glad that I saw this channel. Hehe! :) I can relate on the “hoping” not to be allocated in a certain area. Hehe! I just wish I’ll be able to overcome this though.
How are the patients in the UK po if you compare it to the Philippines or from your past experience?
And how do ER physicians/residents deal with these patients? Is it also tiring that they keep accepting patients for example and hand down their orders? I’m curious po. Thank you!

Hi. In South Devon po. Initially band 3 rate before passing OSCE it was around £1,600 after tax I think but that was 2019. When I left ED 2021 and had my 2nd pay point increase, it was around £2,100 (includes enhancements) :)

So they are paying you overtime 4 hours daily? If you have 12 hours shift.

Hi. The normal shift here is 12 hours. You don't get paid even if you stay longer (which is unlikely because people leave when they know its time no matter now busy so long as you handed over your patients :)
