Perry Richardson (Firehouse Bassist) said in an interview that when he was at the AMA after party that the AIC guys cornered him and started yelling out all kinds of insults towards him, of course they were drunk too.
@defpickles98 yes! Grunge was a poor and negative music, Hair Bands are the high level of Rock, long live Hard Glam metal bands, fuck de shit grunge crap music
This proves that Glam Metal was still on top of the western world till 1992. Therefore, the era lasted a total of 11 years (1981-1992). Meanwhile grunge emerged in 1991 and was dead at the time of the release of Soundgarden's Down on the Upside.
RIP CJ ❤ It was a pleasure seeing you and the boys performing in Shillong, India, in the late 2000's. Thanks for the memories. You guys are Legend out here and appreciated by rock fans out here.
Firehouse rocks. Their lyrics are hilarious and cheesey but that's their gig. CJ Snare and Bill Leverty are two of the best at their craft in the entire world. Leverty could play G3 with Vai.
Glam metal didn't die because of grunge. They died because their fans grew up, started careers, had kids, bought houses, etc. They stopped buying music and going to shows. Their money and time was taken up by their responsibilities. The younger generation chose grunge, so that's where they spent their money buying music and going to shows.
@@shayh.3556 And why was that the new thing? A lot of new things came out in the early nineties. It was the younger generation who chose to back grunge instead of the new albums by the more established glam bands. This always happens with a generation shift. Glam fans stopped (or at least significantly reduced) the amount of music they bought and shows they attended. People didn't just stop listening to it. That was proven when their fans' kids grew up, and had better careers (higher salaries) and now, more time becuase the kids were grown, glam made a resurgence. That's why poison went back to playing amphitheaters because the fans are now in a better position to support.
Fire house is the band i heard that thanks first GOD before others..👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏
The bass player is in Stryper now.
Wow, this WAS unexpected. I mean, Firehouse won over 2 of the biggest grunge bands ever: Alice in Chains and Nirvana? Wow!
It is only boring because you are too dumb!

Might as well, those grunge band would have never accepted the award anyways.
yes, 1992 grunge still hadn't taken over 100 percent yet, a year later and forget about it
It's kinda funny how Slaughter presented the award because I love both bands.
Slaughter won this same award the past year. And Firehouse presented the same award to Pearl Jam in the following year in 1993.
@@martinkreps9946 Firehouse and Pearl Jam were on the same record label back then...
@@PaboritongAwitinniBoyKarne17 Yep, I knew that: Epic Records.
Stupid alternative and grunge bands are overrated. They don’t even compare to glam metal bands.
@@boomer9341 i like both

Fire House is the best hard rock band in the world.
Firehouse debut album was super awesome
Long live true hard & heavy!
Any band that beats out Nirvana is awesome in my eyes. And Firehouse were awesome. RIP CJ
Cuando la música era musica
Yes it was
Hold Your Fire is awesome album
Poor manager couldn't get to say a word.
Sounds like they were told they could win as long as they thanked the industry, record labels, managers i.e. protect the system
and God?
Firehouse is heavy metal/hard rock? LOL
Glam metal...
yea?
Nirvana apparently tried to cover them, but couldn't play so many chords in one song! 😆
I grew up in the 80's and still listen to heavy metal / classic metal today. I never listened to Fire House. Girly band.

And then boom. They were gone because of grunge. Which is good because the whole hair metal scene got saturated. Firehose sucked anyway.
You obviously never checked them out lmfao

@@travisspaulding2222 glam metal died out because grunge was the new thing lol
