CJ died on the same date as Kurt Cobain and Layne Staley... Kurt and Layne were singers of iconic grunge bands Firehouse beat in American Music Awards in 1992

You hear people lip synching all the time.
I can assure you that Carl Snare aka CJ never lip synched. He was genuine and loved by everyone who met him.
Your memory and legacy will Live on.

I grew up with Firehouse, and many, if not all, of their incredible ballads are burned into my adolescence and have preserved into my adulthood now as a positive influence and experience... so much heart in those songs and in that voice! I can't believe he is gone... Too soon. Rest in Peace CJ 💚 Your music will live on in our hearts forever💖

Wow..yet another musician I actually knew that Im saying goodbye to.
Im from the Charlotte area, so I knew them from Maxx Warrior, White Heat, and then Firehouse. One of my friends dated CJ, so he was always over. I had 79 Z28 that he loved and would always drive around. I did 4 MOR cruises, and they were on there. We were both scuba divers and talked about diving. He remained the same guy who drove my Z even after they became huge. RIP CJ.

Really sad with this news about CJ, I love singing Firehouse hits in karaoke and even learned the solos and chords of "Love of a lifetime", "I live my life for You" and "When I look into your Eyes". Your legacy will continue, my friend CJ, will always play your songs. Firehouse played memorable soundtracks as time posts in our lives. 🙏

I’m so sad about this loss. I absolutely loved C.J. and Firehouse and I was never expecting this due to the fact that he was still really young. I was hoping they would release a new album after not having released in more than 20 years but that chance has been lost now. In my opinion, he was one of the most underrated vocalists out there and had an incredible ability to sing. Glad I was able to see him live three times before his passing and glad I still have my Firehouse photograph signed by CJ and the rest of the band. RIP CJ 😢💔

I'm just gutted. I've literally been crying off and on since learning of this Sunday. He was my all time favorite vocalist. I also met him for the first time in 1991 on tour with Trixter/Warrant. He was the sweetest person. The entire band are just sweethearts. I'm so sad for them. Plus my father died of colon cancer so I know what he went through, also with the surgeries. They are brutal. Can't believe he was up there singing like nothing was wrong after his first surgery. What an amazing spirit with amazing talent. Thank you for covering this.

Great singer. Great band. Lucky to have seen them with (if memory serves) Cinderella and I think maybe Warrant.
In any other era.....CJ would have been a superstar. But in the 80s and early 90s....there was just such an infinite amount of talent it is indescribable, unless you were there. Seriously, there was never a reason to turn the radio dial barring commercials. The music was that consistently stellar.
CJ somehow managed to stand out in a very crowded field. His vocal range made dogs howl. RIP and thanks for the music Mr. Snare.
