Excellent! The mark of a professional is being able to recover from near disaster. Lisa, the unsung hero - the finest camera operator in the west. You do a great job of concentrating on what's going on, Lisa - well done! 😀

Re-watching the video, getting the wood that thin as you did Glenn is a real skill. Top shot 👍👍👍

Just caught up with your video. Nice cowboy hat. When you put it on your head all I could think of was ‘Toy Story’🇦🇺😳

I want to try that. It's a great gift idea for my father in law.

@@glennteagleofukwoodcraftca5308 I'm coming up little by little. I'm pretty new around a lathe. I just started turning at the end of spring. I've made a few small things. I don't have a very large tool collection and since I live in a 3rd floor apartment, my lathe is in the next town at my mom's garage. I'm getting about one or two days a week. Mostly just cutting blanks and turning one or two pieces. I'm saving for components to build a freezer into a kiln and to buy a vacuum pot. I just bought a few tools this week and got an estimate to fix the damage to my car. I got hit by a deer a couple of weeks ago. Damn thing just ran out and slammed into my car. I'll definitely make sure to tell you and maybe post a brief video so you can see the results (cowboy hat). It's all just going to take time. BTW, I'm considering making a purchase from your site. It would be a few months from now. Once I find out if I get a good enough return from my taxes. All of the above is going to delay my ability to buy any new cutters. That is unless I can make my foot massage tools sell.

@@archiehebron8944 Hope all goes well. Good luck with turning a hat. Would love to see a pic of it after.

A lovely job, expertly recovered. Regarding your lamp for checking thickness, after four abortive visits they finally had them in the Bridgwater Lidls, and I was able to get one for myself. It has already been put to good use, allowing me to view down the inside of little pipes made for my small mechanical organ whilst running glue into the joint corners to ensure no air leaks. The flexible arm makes it so much easier than trying to prop up a torch. Thanks for the heads up!

All I can say is Great wok. I thought I saw Slight wisps of smoke, or steam, from the light when you stopped to check the inside depth. Also, your nerves are steadier than mine. Blew me away how thin you got that. Wow. Love it. One question, might one be able to use a texturing tool on that band of dark without it going Crack?

I see a woodturners video, can't think of the name of the geezer off the top of my head. But the chisels looked the nuts.
I'll whack up a video of me using them when they arrive.
Nice one mate, keep the content coming.
