I’m growing eight different varieties here in 7B but my favorite by far is Tifblue. It’s very vigorous and productive with a large flat berries with an amazing sweet blue berry flavor and notes of smooth vanilla as an aftertaste. Give it a try. It won’t disappoint.
My favorite variety in my garden has been the bluecrop! I believe it also has wild blueberry genetics in it. I also grow “legacy” and “patriot” but the bluecrops flavor is far superior no doubt. I’ll definitely get a Chippewa in when everything goes dormant too👍
I live in southern Michigan I have 15 different types of blueberries and Chippewa is my favorite. I grow mine in a field that runs east and west so they all get a full day of sun. The Chippewa I have are 4' by 4' and get loaded with nickel sized berries that are super sweet.
Love your videos. Just some helpful advice. You should always name the varieties in your videos even when your speaking about them in passing. “Here’s another variety that’s super productive…”. Never names it. Keep the videos coming.

if you like blueberries, but your soil won't grow them, try haskap...
Ross, I think you are onto something. I watched a couple of different university lectures by blueberry experts and they all said no mulch or compost whatsoever for blueberries. And yet, here you are with fantastic results and beautiful productive plants.
Mulch is critical if you don't have irrigation lines. Blueberries are one of the least drought tolerant plants. On a large scale, mulch may not be worth it due to the time and material needed, but it would certainly save you on water costs. I don't water at all if I apply mulch every other year.
@@RossRaddi thank you! What do you use for mulch? Shredded wood chips?
I don’t have irrigation lines.
Pro growers say to use mulch
What are the lectures called??

I've been eating regent service berries lately and boy do those give blueberries a run for their money
I'm going to buy Razz blueberry this year. Apparently they taste like raspberries.
Low bush blueberries are not southern. They are a natural wild type of blueberry in the north. The southern blueberries are "rabbiteye" , and they are very tall. Also, I think that you mean "blueberry heaven", not "blueberry haven."
You need to try blue glaze. Most unique blueberry type ive found.
The birds got most of mine. I put netting over them but they found a way in.
Those look so delicious.
Duke is one of good one
nice video. where are you located in philadelphia?
I'm beginning to see red dots on the leaves of mine. Could you tell me what I may be doing wrong?
Check the pH.
@@jackiepousson8497 thank you. I just bought a meter.
