The Largest and Tastiest Blueberries ANYONE Could Ask for!

- The Chandler blueberry produces a massive fruit! It's 4x the size of any normal sized blueberry. It's insane, but the Draper blueberry tastes above and beyond them all. It's like you can taste the antioxidants. It's a little earthy, strongly berry flavored and has a great balance of acidity/sweetness. See my review for more on each.

Pink Lemonade is very susceptible to late frost since it's mostly southern highbush blueberry. Pink popcorn is much better for cold climates, I have one and it's an amazing producer as well as very pretty.
I got a pink lemonade seedling this spring and live in zone 6. I didn't know about its frost sensitivity. Thanks!
Ross with the random blueberry vid in November haha. I just picked up some blueberries from the store yesterday and they are massive. I’d have to imagine that they are chandler. I just added a couple Chippewas this fall per your past recommendations. Can’t wait to get some next year!
Have you ever tried the Patriot blueberry? It’s the most recommended blueberry here ( Montreal zone 5 ) by most nurseries and by most suppliers for its strong sweet flavour!
I have Pink Lemonade, O'Neil, Jubilee, and Ozarkblue. Pink Lemonade is good but it doesn't have a "blueberry" flavor. Out of mine O'Neil has the best "blueberry" flavor. Unfortunately it is not a heavy producer for me. I had a Chandler, but it didn't survive. I need to give it another try in a better spot. Thanks for the videos!
I will have to get Chandler
Chandler, darrow, patriot , blue crop, Duke all excellent for the northeast good video Ross blueberries in november
you should try and cross the draper with the chander, you might get massive great tasting berries
I like putting blueberries in the freezer then I snack on them when there frozen there soft to eat even when frozen and I notice they taste sweeter frozen the texture is like Yogurt ice cream it's delicious u should try it out .
Thanks I’m gonna try this and it’s especially helpful to keep the fruit from going bad and going to waste too.
Reka, spartan, and peace sorbet are some of the best flavors in my collection of over 30 varieties
Pink lemonade is a sweet and tart berry that is pretty good, but there are better out there. The real thing about it is the color.
That's awesome
I am not impressed by pink lemonade. Blue Ray wins many taste tests.
Ross you said that about mara des bois, but it wasn't good for me?
Are you sure it's labeled correctly? What didn't you like about it? Plenty of folks regard it as one of the best strawberries. Not just me.
@@RossRaddi Thanks for your response. I think perhaps I just didn't get it ripe enough. Too many slugs and earwigs. I hope that if I grow them in pots next year, on a table or something, and allow them to ripen fully, they'll taste good. I didn't get the sense that they could be special. But I should probably just hold judgement until next year.
I have 25 Mara de Bois and 20 Charlotte on order right now. They will be getting planted into raised beds, filled with 100% mushroom compost, in full son, on drip irrigation, and mulched deep with grass clippings.
I hope to have a consistent stream of yummy too-notch strawberries next year… and to be buried in berries the next. Lol
Legacy is better than Draper. I did not like Pink lemonade
