Two for the bucket - one for me. Three for the bucket - three for me. I pick raspberries and blackberries the same way. LOL
Wonderful example of how to live a Happy life
Thank you for showing me a much better way to pick my blueberries
I haven't seen them that big since I was a kid. Berry nice!
Can't wait til our BlueBerries start producing. Wanda is enjoying them. Wish it was me. Lol.
Nice blueberry harvest. Thanks for sharing the video with us.
Wow! Sure wish we lived closer, I love Blueberries!
Great video, thanks for sharing folks. God Bless.
Such beautiful berries! God bless.
I LOVE blueberry jam!
GODBLESS Y'ALL Abundantly
I have never seen blueberry trees about all we ever get up north is blueberry bushes. Our wild blueberries are even really close to the ground. I live in Minnesota. When we pick the wild ones we do it before 10 am mostly to avoid the deer flies which bite really hard. I could easily spend a lot of time picking those blueberries. Lovely big blueberries! :)
My family don't like blueberry jam, but they sure use up the blueberry syrup and muffins. I think that bucket is the only way to pick berries. It saves a lot of time when picking.
Those are beautiful blueberries!
I did not know that about not washing berries before freezing.... thanks for the info!!
Now these are some beautiful blueberries! That's the biggest buckets of blueberries I have ever seen! I do like the picking buckets you got! They are awesome!!
Blueberries. So many options. Jelly. Pies. Canning mix. Dehydrated. Rollups.( great between cake layers instead if icing) syrups. Frozen. Bbuckles. Crumbles. Cheesecake. Icecream. Sorbet. Dyes for cloth/ wool.
Love your films.
Those are BEAUTIFUL!! 😍
Freedom Acres There are tons of them going to waste. We can only use so many wish you were here.
WOW! Now that is a beautiful harvest of blueberries! The Premier's are by far my favorite and biggest producer. My Brightwell blueberry plants have been quite impressive this year, too.
Oh my, that's fantastic!
Those look soooo good!
Beautiful berries...
Oh my goodness! Those look amazing!! We are ready for our Premieres to produce.
Such a great blessing to be able to harvest 100 blueberry trees. I only have 3 small ones but plan on clearing some of the old nursery for more.
Amazing harvest 😊
Lovely harvest!
Those Blueberries look so delicious!!! I wish I lived closer to y'all so I could buy a few gallons. I love blueberries! I couldn't help but giggle while watching y'all sort through them and Mrs. Wanda would sample a few with every handful put in the bag. Good stuff!
I loved Picking Blue Berries with you this morning.. Thanks so much for sharing. Today is a Debbie Downer day for me my legs & feet are not working well for me today a lot of pain just to walk to the computer or the bathroom Ugh. Yet I felt like I got out of the home today with you both & enjoyed listening to wild life & Picking Blue Berries.. Big Hugs my friends.. Please know that what you do means a lot to many ppl that are not able to do the things that you do.. Miss you both.. & God Bless!
Your blueberries are beautiful! There are definitely a lot of them. Who could resist snacking on them as you bag them up? Yum!
I love watching you two sorting blueberries. One for the bag, one for me; one for the bag, two for me! LOL! Can;t do that when we sorting and grading potatoes. RayValley, Eustis, FL.
I got four blueberry plants for Mothera day. They’re small but already have a few berries in them. I can’t wait until they’re larger. Until then a man down the row has a whole orchard of them and we pick his for about 14$ for an ice cream bucket full. I think that’s a good price?
Man those look great!! I love the early morning in the garden
Beautiful berries! We're headed out to the blueberry festival today!
Thanks for another great video.. My neighbor dries allot of veg in his house like you guys. He bought a used ping pong table on wheels for 20 bucks great shape.. uses it for drying table holds allot of weight. grand kids love it. folds up nd store's away.. I thought it was a cool idea.
Beautiful! I would love to be able to harvest blueberries like that!!!!
Beautiful blueberries! I see Miss Wanda is on the quality control as you’re bagging them up. 😉
Nice berries! Good work! Thanks for sharing, friends!
Them blueberries are HUGE!!! They look so juicy and good! Ide have been eating them too 😊
I’d be eating about a gallon while I was picking! Wish I lived closer I’d buy a gallon or 2 a Week!
Good Morning Brother Danny, Looks like a good start to the day
Wow we have a lot of blueberries but not nearly as many bushes as you have. We pick them all summer and give them away. We freeze some. No one offers to buy them so we end up giving them away. It's hard work too.
Just love ur channel, id love to live on a farm like yours! Im from the city and city life just sucks!! Lol
Beautiful blueberries Danny.bleberries and nut trees is my next purchases
I wish I lived near you,👍🏼
That's some nice size berries. Wish I lived just a little closer to a u pick blueberry farm. I lost nearly all my blueberries to birds this year. Just was able to get a few to taste. Didn't cover the bushes with netting in time.
lol Wanda -- 1 for me , 1 for the bag... 1 for me , 1 for the bag. LOL
That looks like fun, work too, but how good it must feel to have all that bounty put up.
awesomeness- i used 2 can mine just in water 2 add 2 fruit salads n other stuff- we'd drink the juice from the canned fruit, yum- i made jams n syrup from the fresh berries 2- i think the main reason people r startled 2 hear of n see y'alls blueberry 'trees' is becaise commercial u-pick farms in the west 'top' their bushes n keep 'em topped- i don't know if they're still around now, but roaring river blueberry farm in the santiam valley of western oregon, had really big wide shrubs that were no taller than about 5 feet- n were 150 yrs old- oldest blueberry farm in the state- or area, as i recall- n that was 25 yrs ago, lol- y'all take care n Father Bless! thnx 4 all y;all do n share- i can't do any stuff any more, but i can watch y'all n enjoy!
Been watching your channel for about 2 yrs now.you definitely have to have a spouse that works together with you or it won't work. Please continue to make great videos . When are you going to finish the motor home.? Love your lunch videos. Upsman retired local 63 teamsters CAL.
Oh my, I wanna be there. Lol. Now tha'st a blueberry tree. That is a lot of blueberries. It's a shame there's not something you can put under the trees and then shake the tree and let them fall into it. Lol. I bet y'all get some sore fingers from picking so much. At least they fall off easy. I bet your customers are very happy. They are so big. I've never seen them so big. Y'all are blessed with those trees. I liked watching Wanda bag them. One for the bag one for me, one for the bag one for me. Lol.
I am seriously happy for you, what a way to start your day and I cant wait to start living this life for myself and family. Does your "Premiere" blueberry go by any different names?
Goodness, I didn't even know that blueberries grew on trees. I thought they grew on short bushes. I have been wanting to grow blueberries. I guess I have to rethink where I was going to plant them.
Going to pick some this morning. Sadly, they don't open until 8am. If I were closer to ya'll, I'd come and pick some of the Tif's since i'm using them to make jam. I've gotten a handful off of the bushes I planted this year.
One for the bag,two for Wanda. One for the bag, three for Wanda.lol
I'm still amazed everytime you show your blueberry trees. It must be a lot of work making sure you are a good steward of what YHWH has blessed you with. This week I was scouting out several areas that I harvest ginseng from for many years. In an average year I'll harvest several hundred 3 prong roots (out of about 4 times as many that I could harvest) and about 100 - 4 prong roots and half a dozen man-roots. On average for 4 hours a day (mornings) for 2 to 3 weeks I'll net about $5000.00 profit (selling 2 thirds) great work when I can get it. My point is, that I'm always doing things to insure future harvests as it takes 10 to 12 years of very slow growth to get the smallest of roots, 20 years for the 4 prong roots and more than 30 years to grow man-roots (where the big money and best medicine is gotten). Being a good steward of this resource is a job and a half. Seeds need are carefully replanted and from all the ginseng I find, even those I don't harvest I have to cut off all the leaves hiding their location until the following year. Leaves from 3 prong and up are used to make several much weaker forms of medicinal teas and powders. This year and hopefully next I'm training a son to take over for me when I'm no longer able to do it. The demand for ginseng is so much greater than the supply, but once greed enters the equation, the resource begins to diminish. I harvest many wild plants each year for a supplier that markets to extremely ill people, some for charity, but most are cancer patients, let's face facts, cancer care to most Americans stinks and some treatment should be considered a crime.
Danny, I pray you have many years of good health, but I will bring up hidden treasure in the Bible that we are to pass onto the next generation knowledge, skills and resources. A truly blessed man has many children and other family members to give these things to. Are you like minded and concerned about passing things on to someone???
Boy I sure wish I was close by I would be picking with you. I don't know how much you would have left I would eating half. Lol Blessings
Your wife cleans berries the same way I do. Two for the bag and one to eat.LOL
Wonderful harvest! That's some nice blueberries! What's your tips on growing those wonderful blueberries! Teresa
blueridgeprepper1 Proper PH and lots of water and fertilize when they are young. Thanks
Big and Beautiful berries .
Oh man! My mouth is watering!!! Blueberries are my absolute favorite!! We're wanting to start a U-pick berry farm in the next couple of years, so I'm curious as to where you got the Premier bushes and how old are yours?
Oh yum! If I lived near you, I'd volunteer to help pick.
Susan Nielsen, me too!
I just pick up another variety of blueberry bush yesterday. it will be yrs before that one does anything I have been planting them for yrs
those are big berries
Do you have many snakes out amoungst the blueberry bushes? In NJ when I picked as a young teenager, we had a ton of snakes. The man who had the bushes that we picked for, kept a sidearm just for that reason.
Just beautiful blueberries ,I would be the same way could not leave any berries on the tree ,I'm that way with my veggies and fruits ,If I was there I would pick my self to death (LOL) love the video God blessed y'all with a bountiful harvest .God Bless
Do you trim canes off your berry bushes yearly to promote new growth?
My brother bought a hundred little plants and we're growing them in one gallon buckets to get them started before we put them out in the field I'm thinking maybe we might go 2 years before we plan them in the field that way they can get plenty of good stable roots I got a lot of Critters around here like deer, Birds and stuff should I fence them in after I plant them my grandson loves blueberries thank you for sharing God bless you
Keith S we have blueberries, coming on strong. I suggest putting net over your bushes. That’s what we do and it works great. Research on RUclips. There’s so much good and helpful information these days. I just know that birds are the biggest problem with our blueberries and the netting is essential. Good luck and God bless your harvest 😀
Tammy Hanson thank you very much
Looks like you need to hire a few pickers an vash in on all them trees
Such a beautiful and bountiful blueberry haul! With the red berries - can you use them for something else? Like throw them to the chickens?
When growing blueberries, do you need more than 1 tree for pollination?
Hi, Lod! Yes, you do need more than one blueberry plant to pollinate. :)
Danny I live in North West Alabama area. What would be the best blue berries for my area?
I had no idea. Thanks so much for sharing! Do those trees produce 1 batch of blueberries then they are done or do they keep producing for a period of time?
They produce once. We start picking end of May and they are finished by Mid June. About a 3 week period.
Danny ... With that particular blueberry ... Have you ever tested the yield time it takes from seed to actual berry production?
Awesome! I heard you talk about the blueberry plants that have been on your homestead for a long time, do you ever fertilize the plants at all? Thanks and keep up the good work.
photojones1 These never get fertilized. Thanks
I just came in from soaking all my fruit trees. I was feeling so proud that I got my first “handful” of blueberries off my 4 little 2ft bushes. Then I opened RUclips to this video. 🤨. Now those are some nice blueberry trees. What an awesome haul y’all made. How old are those bushes by the way?
Over 20 years old
What if you laid a blanket under the tree and shook it would the ripe berries fell off?
My Berry's did put on much this year they get fertilizer every winter and pine needles mulch every fall and have plenty of rain but almost no fruit any suggestions???
Are you pruning them after they bear fruit? That is when you cut them back and no other time.
Deep South Homestead yes all my older bushes only ones not cut back was the new row put in last fall
So... How to help blueberry grow?
what is the name of those blueberry bushes/trees-thanks and God bless! PS=do you think they will do good in Ohio where I live??
How do you find the market for your produce? We grow blackberries and the only outlet we've found is at a local orchard where they buy them far below wholesale cost.
Nancy Moe that sucks 😢
have you tried posting on facebook yard sale groups near you or craiglist if there are no farmers markets near you to sell at. I do all 3
Nancy Moe put add in paper. On radio. Local folks word of mouth. Check your state for farmer's markets.
When you're buying blueberries like that a gallon how much should you pay for them
One berry for the bag .... Two berries for Rwanda LOL! 💖👍
🌺
Where did you get your harness bucket?
Hoss Tools hosstools.com/
Miss Wanda bag a few eat one😂
Double yummy!
Do you allow anyone to come and pick and pay for blueberries?
No, The property belongs to Danny's family. We would love to but they have the say in what goes on.
Just checking, I live in Vicksburg.....
You have a beautiful crop of blueberries. I am curious, why don't you wash them? I figure you mean you don't want them wet. You said in your video don't ever wash your fruits and veget as bless before freezing. Really? Maybe just not have them wet? Thanks so much.
If you dry them that is fine. I just don't have that much time and space with blueberries. They are wet when we pick them, so we let them air dry for a couple of hours. When using them I wash then.
Thanks so much for the prompt reply. You all are awesome!
Why not feed the berries you can't sell or use to the pigs so they don't go to waste?
