My rope, named Hudini, that I finally rehomed after having him for 12 years, was the best experience I ever had in the years of keeping fish. He was very spoiled and loved to be hand fed red worms, Im pretty sure that is what created the trust he had with people because after maybe a couple weeks of having him he didnt have a shy bone in his body! Lol I couldn't put my hands in the tank without him swimming up and doing whatever he could to be in my hand & make sure i was giving him full attention. 😊 They are very smart & curious . A super fun toy or accessory to buy them is a Moss Ball. He would work out a hole in the middle and have just his head stuck through which I thought made him look like a clown with a huge ruffled collar on lol kept him occupied for a few days. He did extremely well with 2 of his tank mates named Polly & Cracker the last couple years, they were Parrot fish .😊
I have 2 rope fish. 60 gal. Gravel substrate. They get along very well & sometimes swim upward with their bodies together in a twisting motion (facinating). They eat frozen shrimp & sinking shrimp pellets. I have a rather large open bottom cave in which they have hallowed out a hole in the gravel & they stay down there together. When they are swimming around, I have to approach the tank walking softly to watch them, Otherwise the foot vibration will send them hiding. I will try the beef heart & chopped shrimp. Cool Fish & great addition to the tank!!!

Goodluck. I have a pair for ropefish. They love chopped up frozen shrimp and prawns, but they will not touch beef heart lol.
Well done!

Thanks for your support!
you need scuds...once they're established in a tank, he can eat the to his hearts content , and they'll always be more.
You're saying they'll eat the scuds?
@@Fauntazee yes
They are community fish. Should be kept in groups.
they sure look like they need a lot of space to swim
