I just want to point out two things . First the front guide post adjustment knob is not for locking it; its a adjuster for tracking. Loosen then snug at best and you will have the blade guides track better. Lock it and from top to lowering it will mean adjusting the top side guides alot. Also when you remove table get some studs or bolts with heads cut off to place table then remove one at a time to replace with bolts. Makes replacing the table a lot easier. My biggest complaint is that the lower guides do not allow centering the blade gullet to the center of top wheel; mount hits at back first. That means you have to adjust all guides when changing blades.Great buy tho in a 14 inch band saws. Use your points after from buying the saw and get the fence cheap. Think I paid like 48 dollars using the points from buying the saw. Good video.

I have the same band saw so I want to ask you what size blade have you installed. I know that the manual says 99.75 inch blade but when I install that size I can't even get a good tension at all. Have you had this problem? Also, how hard is the blade adjusting knob on top to turn. Mine reaches a point that it's very tight but still the 99.75 blade is loose. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Recently I got a 10% off and free shipping offer. The one thing I do not like about this saw and many others is the guides. So I bought a set of carter micro adjust for 188.00. Even with that I have less than 600 in the saw. It made this saw even with a 1/4 blade cut great. I can make 90 degree no drift miter cuts and no drift rips with fence. The secret I think is the ability to set the guides tight without touching and the double bearings on side guides. Bascially I use this saw more than any other now. Also I might point out that if you want to adjust the bottom wheel tracking; go to Rikon site; support and download the 10-325 supplement on setting it. Same as Sears. I noticed many have commented on not having enough adjust on guide mounts. This will solved that allowing the blade to track to center on both.

I like your channel and your bandsaw is very nice, thank you for sharing. I now have the same drill press, and belt sander you do. I have been thinking of getting a bandsaw, but I think I can use a 12 inch thickness planner. I have been looking at a Dewalt any thoughts. Also nice boat. Keep doing what you do good stuff

Thanks for the comment on my video. It makes me want to do more of them. A thickness planer is next on my wish list, I have done some research online. Seems to me horse power and number of blades seem to be the biggest issue with other people looking. Also the type blade the planer uses is important when its time to replace them. I'll post a video if (when) I get one.

I have also been contemplating a thickness planer in the near future. The Dewalt is a nice planer, with good reviews, but you may be paying the premium price for the name. I'm leaning towards the Ridgid R4331 planer. When I do get one, be sure there will be a video on it. Thanks for the feedback. It's always great to hear of someone enjoying and finding my videos useful.

I was real interested in the grizzly 14 band saw because of the extendable resawing capacity. I guess in the end it was price that made up my mind. I don't have any regrets.
