    Hi there, thanks for showing the item, helps a lot to imagine how small the item is when I have never seen or owned such a mini saw. At the 10 minute mark, you were showing the wood kicking back, that's actually because you're touching the wood you are pushing through the blade to the wall to the left. If there was no wall, the wood would just be sitting there and not kicking back towards you. Rule for table saws, and I think this is the same too, to not use both the wall plus the mitre to cut anything, as the saw continuously spins and the wood will get pushed to only one direction when being in contact with the saw. The wall gives another point for the wood to be leaning against and pushes to you. If anyone were to need to cut a longer piece than the 7 cm length, it would be far safer to take out the wall on the left, and just use the mitre while wearing safety glasses.

      @satorrotas  2 года назад +1

      Well thank you for this information, it is true that I am not used to using these mini machines, but it is certain that this guide on the left is used to cut a board lengthwise and not really to cut as I do on the video. Besides, I even put the guide upside down at the start of the video lol, which I then corrected. In the end I prefer to use my big table saw that I have in my workshop, at least I can adjust the blade height which is not possible on this mini table which I find quite dangerous. In another video I modified the tray and also made a cover for the saw blade which is much safer, but in the end I almost never use it, so it's a purchase that is not very useful to me.

    Excellent review! I’m not a pro-woodworker by any stretch, but I can see where this unit might be improved upon.
    • Not have the blade so high or somehow make it adjustable
    • Have an extension arm coming from the miter gauge to better hold the piece you’re cutting
    • A remote off/on push button switch that you can place on the floor
    • I’m assuming this unit can be bolted down/secured?

    • @satorrotas
      @satorrotas  Месяц назад +1

      Hello, you are right about all these improvements. I worked on this machine to make it safer by making a cutting plate which attaches to the original one which allows the blade to stick out less, then I enlarged the cutting guide and I I also made a cover for the saw blade which lifts as the piece of wood to be cut passes. Now I'm more reassured after making these changes.

  • @ridgetopcrafts4441

    So did you ever make the modifications on this saw? If so, will you make a video showing them off?
    I have this saw as well and i love it, however i do not use the sanding wheel, of the fence and plastic guard thing on mine.
    I do crosscuts and a fence is not recommended for crosscuts on a tablesaw.

      Yes I made a video here: ruclips.net/video/r8njyeozcPk/видео.html with some modifications, the main one for me was to make a protective cover for the blade. By enlarging the cutting deck I can no longer use the sanding wheel but it's something I didn't use so no problem for me 😊

  • @tomt9543
    @tomt9543 5 месяцев назад +2

    Looks fairly dangerous to me! And cutting with the sliding miter gauge, and the other end of the wood against the rip fence is just asking for super dangerous kickback! But removing the fence also removes the blade “protection” (its a stretch to call it protection!)! This was a great, honest review! An Amazon find I guess?

    • @satorrotas
      @satorrotas  5 месяцев назад +2

      I agree with you, it's a dangerous machine, I bought it on banggood and I wondered how we could sell this kind of machine without any protection and besides I talk about it in this video. But by purchasing this machine knowingly (from a safety point of view) I already had my idea to remedy all these problems. I also made another video on all the improvements I made to this machine which is now very good for small woodwork.
      Thank you for your kind comment 😊

    This looks very dangerous, nobody should be using a table saw without a riving knife and without being able to adjust the blade height. Very dangerous.Also, if you use the mitre gauge to push the wood through the blade then you do not need to use the fence, one or the other, not both. That is why your piece of wood was getting stuck between the blade and the fence. Very dangerous. Next time, remove the fence. Good luck to you!

      @@dominiquebodeau298 Bonjour, il n'y a pas de marque pour cette scie. Je l'ai acheté sur le site banggood et il n'y a pas de montage spécifique. Mais attention car elle n'a aucune protection de lame et c'est très dangereux. Vous pouvez en trouver sur Amazone ou autre site dans les mêmes tarifs a peut prêt avec une protection ce qui a mon avis est plus prudent. Bon weekend à vous aussi 🙂

    Not going to read all the comments to see if the following was covered:
    I own one of these saws, do
    not know why because it is clear #1 the blade height can not be adjusted.
    #2 The miter slide wobbles in the slot in the table. Far too much clearance. (On my unit my factory supplied miter is different then what is shown in the video)
    #3 WORSE THING: The table top is attached to the base using ONLY four threaded TUBES . Nothing else supports/OR ALIGNS the top plate to the blade.
    All it takes is for one of the attching screws to loosen and the top plate WOBBLES and distroys alignment between blade and miter.
    I use this saw for model making, it was a waste of money. (Have not used the attachments supplied woth the saw)
