I agree forks are one of the first things new riders are gonna upgrade. I saw a kid at the park bend his after a week or two on a new bike.
It can definitely get sketchy especially when new riders start learning 180s and they bend outwards, chopper bike style.

Fork and handlebars are my top two things to change out first. Might also mean changing the stem depending how long you’ve ridden it with the older bars and fork before swapping.

That's would be a sweet bike to have. I have a Sunday Primer and Eastern Jane. Love the upgrades.
I went the other way around. I saved up for a frame and moved my old parts there, and slowly upgraded it. In this case I would upgrade cranks first to some 48 spline, the 8 spline is hefty and if you are not taking care of it they can come loose and strip the bolts making them useless. Not really a weight weenie but having a tad bit lighter bike makes you ride longer.

Good upgrades guys, I would have done a double rim upgrades for the entry bikes with single wall rim. Seat and post upgrade would have been in my priority, especially if you slip and fall on the seat.

Contact points are a good place to start upgrading. Instant change of the feel of the bike. I would have thought tires would be included in this episode.

My son would love this bike. He is wanting me to start teaching him tricks but his current bike is way to heavy but when i got it it was on its way to the junkyard so i saved it for him and got it going. This would be an awesome upgrade for him

Bike looks really nice. I would've gone with a 990 mount fork and a front brake kit instead of the chain ring.
Love it. I wish front brakes were more prevalent these days.

I spent about 700$ actually on swapping everything on my frame after 7 years since I built it lol it was pricey but I really wanted to make it look good with good parts too, it was my first bike so it’s very important to me, tho getting another bike would have me worry free from damaging it til I learn tricks 😂

I really like how you guys built it, personally i would have went with the gyro, i like brake tricks as well but id still like to do barspins, but my favorite thing is the chromoly full front end. Safety first

What happened the haro baseline build?
It's still around and you'll see it from time to time. Most recently in our ultimate peg test video.
The original build video didn't get much interest, unfortunately. The bike has since turned into a temporary testing platform or to show part installs. The coming reviews will be on parts I, or another Dans rider, has used on their personal bikes. A dedicated test bike was a good concept, but in practice we couldn't get much filming on it when everyone wants to ride their own bikes. At least it's still getting some good use, albeit not what we initially planned lol.

I remember growing up and wishing my parents could get me a bike that nice compared to some Walmart bikes I had as a kid. Who ever wins that bike better put it to good use haha
