    • @gautamsamel4305
      @gautamsamel4305 3 года назад +3

      @@srinathreddy8690 My friend chess isn't "booming". Chess has been around since the 6th century while Cricket came into India in 1792. Secondly, chess is a huge part of Indian culture and legacy, while cricket was brought by the British (no enmity, just pointing out that chess is way way older and a deeply entrenched part of India). India has 53 men and 16 women grandmasters. The good thing about chess, isn't that it isn't politicised (India-Pakistan matches and other such) or capitalised(IPL, huge sponsors, cricketers using their fame to get ads and make money).
      You're right, Chess and IPL simply isn't comparable, because Chess will remain one of India's biggest legacy which is still enjoyed by players around the world.
      Also, it is one of the most inclusive games ever. Although women's titles exist, they can still compete for the usual titles including World Champion( example Judit Polgar herself since she was so close). You can also literally be in a wheelchair and still play chess without an issue.

    you guys should start analyzing games after every match. That is a Ruy Lopez opening and a6 is the mainline. every 1000+ rated player knows that if you are against e4 you either play Sicilian or play Berlin. bdw GG bois.
