I love how the sneakers represents how he’s glitching when he’s in the wrong dimension. That’s why it has all the different panels.
Batman Beyond needs a movie criminally underrated
Batman Beyond is not underrated, pretty much everyone who watched it liked it/loved it.

I loved that show. Late 90s/ early 00s comic cartoons was the golden age for me. Batman, batman beyond, superman, justice league, all the marvel stuff early in the 90s, tmnt etc... made same damn good carttons to sell toys.
@@TruTrae It is underrated, Batman Beyond got cancelled mainly because of the low numbers it was making.

For context, the 2018 pair did come in a regular box, and some limited amount came in a special box with the Spiderman logo, but most pairs came in a regular box just like this one
I agree they definitely should have given us extra laces and a special box but the shoe is dope to me even before the GITD sole became a thing. Just knowing what the movie is about makes it a good concept to me. Can’t wait for this release and the movie release
Actually these look way better than the first one. The patchwork details here somehow looks more Spiderman inspired rather than just put some dots, change up the colorway and call it a Spiderman shoe. I'm also happy that the hype seems be almost non existent for this pair which means that if you miss the release, the resell is so low that it's not gonna break the bank.
Agreed! I missed the shock drop and my size sold out super quick on the actual SNKRS drop, so I also went the GOAT route and got them for only $20 more than retail, which is a win in my book.

I think those shoes compliment each other, the blue older one is more chill and the new one is crazy af like the multiverse ahahah. tho box trash they could have gone crazy with it doing alof of their old preimmum boxes in one, like widow sizes of some, strips of other. like the box is a mixap of alot of other boxes in one

The nike Kukini looks to me like a good fit for the spiderverse movie, especially the glitch colorway, which also glows in the dark btw

Still can't believe I copped the 1st pair. The leather on those is amazing. Looks and feels great. These new ones are growing on me but the first are kind of classic at this point.

I didnt originally want these but my love for spiderman convinced me to get them since i didn't get the 1st pair and the resell on those is ridiculous. Better to have 1 of the 2 then none

I totally agree with you I can appreciate what they did with the shoe but it's not for me. It looks too childish imo. They also dropped the ball not doing anything special with the box. Overall it's a decent shoe for what it is.
I said the same on another thread and somebody hit me with “Style has no age”. But it does have a time and place for a 40+ year old man and I don’t have either lol. I appreciate the concept but I definitely will be passing.

Am I the only one who thinks these hit harder than the first release? The creativity for the concept of "across the spiderverse" is a banger and topped off with glow in the dark soles that are red not neon green! 🔥🔥🔥

It’s a superhero shoe, so it’s supposed to be a kid shoe (or atleast have some appeal for kids)
I like it better than the first! The first was as obvious as it could get with very little creativity

The first version is too much like a Chicago 1. I like this version better because it feels more nerdy. I also think we know why miles gets hate, smh. I love miles version of the ps5 game and really loved the first movie. Will try to cop for me and the little ones.

I saw these are a local resell store and I think they are 🔥🔥🔥🔥this shoe has gone through the Spider Verse which I like this story I can’t wait for the movie but a special box would have be awesome they should have had the box look like the show

The special box was an LA movie premiere release. After that they release everywhere with a normal box. I hope i can get this one to have both.
With the recent adidas sales it’s hard to justify paying for these shoes knowing they’re overpriced. A huge Nike/Jordan fan but I get more tech and materials in adidas shoes for $50-$75 🤷🏽♂️

Nike should put out the Jordan 1 bred for the next movie and use the black that they used here on that shoe

I was not a fan of the shoe at first, after watching this video you ever changed my mind
My biggest sneaker regret has been missing out on the original “spider verse” jordans. It has now replaced the “carmines” for me…yes i still don’t own a pair of them. Hopefully I’ll be able to get a pair of these…..but if i can’t, so be it. Not doing the resell route. More importantly, Miles is my spider-man! And…i loved the spider verse saga in that 90s series with madam web, and the one in the Ultimate spider-man series that’s available on d+.

The design is basically akin to the characters glitching; when they glitch, random parts suddenly pop off of them and the shoes essentially are meant to represent that look. Also fun fact; at the end of Across the Spiderverse, Miles is shown wearing those very same Jordans.

Not gonna lie out of all the grinches I’ve seen I like Adidas version the best obviously nothing can touch the Kobe grinches. Adidas’s does go all out on their Collabs for sure lol

Origin story came in 2 versions.. the special edition had the spiderman box and the other a standard jordan 1 box
I'm just glad to see a pair come out that hasn't skyrocketed in price. I do like these They are pretty solid and I'm actually waiting on a pair of mine to come in the mail now can't wait to flex in my neighborhood while walking the dog lol

Got mine in hand today, these are insanely good! Premium material too. Other than the pepperoni pizza thing, I love everything about these joints. I don’t have the L&Fs and these fill in that need just fine. Was able to double up and will be using sail laces on my second pair

I wish we got a whole pack of these, for all the main characters. Of course they would’ve undoubtedly done a Spider Gwen version that was on in women’s sizing and I would’ve been beyond pissed.
I grew up on the Spider-Man comics, and for that reason alone I’ll be going after these.

Just a quick FYI the 1st ones had a special box for special promo pairs not for the general release.
I love this concept I love this sneaker. I need multiple pairs so I can wear through one and have another ready to go.
Don’t mind not having extra laces Nike sends extra laces with other pairs so that’s whatever I’ll use one of them if I want. Don’t need a special box either.
