Thanks! Everyone used to joke abt me having no passing technique and only being able to run with the ball, but this has rly helped me develop as a player. Looking forward to hopefully a very successful season now!
Seems counterintuitive to me. Like with throwing a punch. Your frontfoot is the opposite to the hand throwing the punch. But I'll like to experiment with this diff approach some day.
@TheRugbyTrainerTV I've watched a few other videos but none addressed the hand placement as well as you, clear instructions & demonstrations using multiple camera angles helped show me where I was going wrong with my finger placement. The power element through the designated leg depending on what side you are throwing to is a big help too, but agree that once you are happy with step 2, 1 & 3 are far more important steps to where you want the ball to go
@@TheRugbyTrainerTV I think I have watched them previously. They are excellent! The best of the best. I'll surely watch more. Great for me and my Under 12 kid.
I use a 3 point system for my juniors when passing 1, early catch, make a camera shape with your hands take a picture of the ball. 2, touch your front hip either left or right depending on which pass 3, finish with your shoulder under your chin, which makes you finish at the target. It works great
The catch is a huge part of the game which we as players don't train enough of. with the camera shape, could you explain that a little more, I'd love to hear about it.
I realised just recently my back hand wrapping almost under the ball, creating a lot of spin but wasting a lot of energy and not transferring to the trajectory of the ball.

@@TheRugbyTrainerTV well for 1 I saw that my pass was reaching my target much quicker. But I also felt like I was in control of my pass much better.
