    In this video I'll show you how to build this side table, or C table out of white oak to improve any work from home or home office setup. This allows me to do work comfortably on the couch, or on the bed! The cross dowels used to join the legs allows this to be knocked down easily if you need to take it with you. It also gives it a modern farmhouse look! This was inspired by a project by Chris Salomone and Shaun Boyd from Foureyes Furniture. Hope you guys like it!

    Built a few of these now, all different sizes, even a couple for a kindergarten class ! Super useful tables for kids when built at the right height.

    Agree the hardware looks rough, but overall the desk design is smart. Im about to do a larger live edge version

    I really dig the Modeling Software usage. I'm easing into using SketchUp to save time when planning an order of operations for cutting pieces and making fewer mistakes. Great video and has excellent narration!

    Could you have installed the dowel part of the hardware on the inside? so that only the bolt head was visible?

      I didn’t. Assuming they’re dry enough. I didn’t have time to wait because I was on a deadline. But if you can wait, that’s better

      I thought they’d be hideous at first, but I think it works pretty well. I’ve seen similar stuff sold at Pottery Barn. It kind of goes with the whole “farmhouse” style haha. But definitely not for everyone

    Great video as usual! I just can't get over how bad those rockler bolts look - just about ruins an other wise perfectly clean and minimal design. I would say the only time to use these would be when they are well out of sight.
