Do you own Zoic shorts? Any problems?

I have the same shorts, but in tan color. The zippers constantly pop open. I have been able to zip them down and back up and get them to work correctly again for a little while. My other problem is the fabric grabs my saddle like a gecko climbing a wall and damn near pull my shorts off at times. The shorts I'm most happy with are the new Scout shorts from Tasco and Fox Ranger shorts.

Joe, thanks for confirming the problem with the Zoic Ether shorts. Have not experienced the grabby fabric problem, but sounds nasty. I'll have to look into the Tasco Scout and Fox Ranger shorts. Thanks for feedback.

That is too bad. I was thinking about getting a pair at REI. I can't seem to find an decent pair of shorts. I got some Fox Ranger shorts and the waist adjustment is terrible. I also would like to find some shorts where the liner attaches to the short and of course I like lots of zippered pockets.

It was a major drag. I really like the shorts, but HATE the failing zippers.

My humble advice is go get some eleven pine shorts. They are from a company in Boulder and I love them! I have four pair now and can’t make myself try anything else. They are good even when you aren’t on the bike. They aren’t cheap but definitely worth it. Just ask Ryan Van Duzer.

I have a pair and while I haven’t had the same problem with zipper I don’t think they are all that comfortable - not terrible just not great. Recently bought a pair of 7mesh shorts (forget the name but could find out) and I love them!! They are pricey ($140) and do not come with liners but they are so light and comfortable, water repellent, great clip fasteners for adjusting and belt loops!! I use my Zoic Ether shorts but again, just don’t love them. Would rather pay more $$ and get something that I find comfortable when out riding for 2-3 hours.

Good point. Confort is critical. Let us know if you remember the model name of the 7mesh shorts you love. Glidepath, maybe?

Good video. ok as a Viking woman,nd 53 yrs old, I wear men's Fox Ranger Mtb shorts. Womens shorts have the legs way too short for my liking, and don't fit me at all. I wear the Chamois underneath because I need to for many reasons..comfort, compression, padding supports, helps my back, and the Fox Ranger shorts are comfy, but they have no Zipper or velcro closure in the front. I assume for men to have the freedom to do their business on the trail quick and easily. Wish they would have an option or two pair options with the open barn door or the velcro closure. Not sure why fox makes them this way. But I get them on sale direct from Fox for $44.00. had looked at Zoic in the past and other brands but like Fox. I wear long jerseys as well. I had a woman at a bike park mention the open fly to me and sI aid, "yeah, these are men's and they don't close except for the hook. only shorts that fit me and are comfy,"

Thanks for input and recommendation of Fox Ranger shorts. Will look into.
I've always worn chamois underneath as well (uni-sex issue). Comfort. Reduce - eliminate chaffing. And (for guys) to keep the equipment up and away from smashing on top of the seat while standing and sitting during ride. (Don't want to sit on the boys.) So not sure how other guys ride (floating in the wind) without chamois or something else (jockstrap?) holding everything in place. Sorry for so many details.
I chuckled when reading "Viking Woman" rider. I just finished watching all the "Vikings" video series on Amazon Prime (great drama). I pictured you as a Shield Maiden riding your mountain bike with your sword, ax, and shield. Funny visual.
Cool to hear you are riding at 53. Keep rocking.

@@50mtb44 there’s no tracking them down man. They have a website with a phone number and their own customer service. Leaving a review on a random Amazon isn’t going to get you anywhere. You have to reach out to the company or person you bought it from.
