Target boost will depend on a variety of factors, I recommend consulting with your tuner to work on what will be acceptable for your setup. Fueling, engine internals, ign timing, other mods, age of car are all things that can come into play.
Inside of a wastegate there is a spring, this spring can be pretty much any pressure depending on the application. That spring controls when the gate normally opens to control boost pressure. If you have a 15lb spring in your wastegate then yes, its recommended to set your OPP to 12 or 13.
@@AEMpowerTVelectronics if my wastegate spring is 14.5 and I have the opp set at 12.5 how should I change this setting to manipulate for faster spool ?
Good job guys I think I got it now after watching a few times!! I know I’ll be back to watch again thanks for the help !!🏁🦾🦾

So if you have it off is it just going to be running on the wastegate springs as your target boost?
Do you just give the scramble boost input a ground to activate it? Seems like a momentary closed switch would be ideal.
ok i see tru-boost with two faces one that has the X in the name and one that doesn't? are there two versions?
Do you put the 2 red wires together in the main harness
That's what I'm trying to find out 🤷♂️
Same
I did because when I put power to them by their selfs they did the same thing.
How does this get set up on a twin turbo configuration?
We have seen installs where the vacuum lines of each wastegate are T’ed together with the solenoid equidistant from each.
@@AEMpowerTVelectronics thanks for the reply!
Is impressive, can you please recommend UK supplier?

How do you know what your target pressure is? I just want to know what my stock pressure is to avoid damage with other mods

With the dyno testing was that on a standard ECU?
No, we used the AEM Infinity ECU that’s installed on our VW 1.8T racecar.
Can someone explain what they mean by wastegate spring pressure?
I have a 15psi base spring, so should my OPP be set to 12/13psi?
