  • American States with its most common languages excluding English and Spanish!
    Video Transcript:
These are the most commonly spoken languages in each American state. Excluding English and Spanish. Starting in the East which is mostly dominated by French. But besides that, there is also Italian in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Portuguese in Massachusetts and Rhode Island or Chinese in New York. In the South, we have 2 states where Korean is predominant, some more French and French Creole in Florida. Moreover, there is lots of unique languages like Polish in Illinois, Arabic in Michigan, Dakota in South Dakota, Hmong in Minnesota or Russian in Oregon. Vietnamese is commonly spoken in 4 different states. Native American Navajo is found in Arizona and New Mexico. While in the west it's Tagalog together with Hawaii. In Alaska, it's the Yupik language of indigenous people. Well and the rest is dominated by German speakers.

For anyone confused why Spanish is not included:
Spanish speakers in the United States can be attributed to historical and contemporary factors. The influx of Spanish speakers is influenced by immigration from Spanish-speaking countries, such as Mexico, Puerto Rico, and various Central and South American nations. Additionally, the U.S. has a significant Hispanic population with deep cultural roots. The Spanish language's prevalence is also a result of generations passing down their linguistic heritage and the continued immigration patterns shaping the country's demographics.
In short there is a bitch load of immigrants therefore si many Spanish speakers that most likely it would trake over the entire list
Edit: I swear some of y'all need to gain basic reading comprehension 💀

East States is full of Asiain migrations espically Chinese and Koreans after the Korean war.
Louisiana and some Eastern states where under control of France in some parts of History.
The lands between Mexico and USA is the land of where native Americans run to, since it was the empty lands between the big civilisations of native Americans that were just conquered.
Califorina and Hawaii were in good relation with Philippines when it was a US terreory, since they are the closet to it.
Washington state was a new empty state that wanted people in the same days of Vitnamese war.

It's amazing how globalization drastically changed in just around 200 years. For thousands of years, humanity was never able to easily travel the world. Now we do and we can see how everyone from everywhere can now get all mixed in together. None of which was possible just 200 years ago, before ocean liners and planes became mainstream. What a time to be alive when you can go yo the opposite side of the world riding a flying vehicle, a technology that was once thought impossible. I do hope humanity further progresses.

I’d rather live 500 years ago, who wants to live in a world where cultures are erased and everyone is forced to be the same?
Our differences is what is beautiful, being the same just means the extinction of others. Everyone should be trying to preserve who they are.
Globalism just means McDonald’s in every country and everyone dressing the same. Nobody wants that and people are waking up. I’m glad globalism is reducing as nations what to preserve their identity. Nationalism protectionism and isolationism is becoming more popular thankfully. Hopefully we get a full reversal.
When i visit Indonesia or Italy I don’t want to see a McDonalds or people wearing Nike shoes. I want to experience their way of life, not some capitalist bastardisation of a nation.

@@ibrahimhassan711 500 years ago, you wouldn't have the internet, smartphones, plumbing, you'll probably have a lifespan of 40 maybe less, you'll most likely be a farmer as most industries today did not exist yet back then, your parents will choose your spouse for you as arranged marriage was the norm worldwide for both the poor and wealthy. You wouldn't have electricity and you will probably have 7 kids, 5 of which will die of malnutrition leaving you with just two. Countries like Japan, China and Korea used to be extremely impoverished nations that developed through capitalism. It was their choice to accept globalization. You can't choose for them. If they want to embrace capitalism, (which turned them into the first world nations they are today), that's their right. If they don't want to become a capitalist nation, that's also their choice, not yours. It's their choice if they want to become globalized, modern and have a developed economy. You can't stop Indonesians from buying Nike if that's the brand they want to buy, just because it pisses you off to see Indonesians wearing Nike shoes.

Vietnamese speakers in the US are largely descendants of those who were allied to the South Vietnamese government or other pro-American forces during the Vietnam War who fled in fear of reprisals, with the US granting them extra support in getting through immigration at the time as refugees to become permanent residents. This is also the same reason why Hmong are a huge population in Minnesota (as well as Wisconsin and North Carolina), since they were allied to the US along the Ho Chi Minh trail and targeted for persecution in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos for several years in the aftermath.
Tagalog is spoken a lot because the Philippines was a US colony until the 1940s and so you had tons of workers and residents who already had connections in the US and moved there, which created communities for later chain migration.
Koreans are a mix of recent immigration for jobs and historic migration as a result of the Korean War and South Korea's alliance with the US.
I'm not sure why they first came specifically to Michigan, but whatever the reason, Michigan became the recipient of a huge amount of Arab migration from across the Levant and Maghreb in the last 50-60 years, which has resulted in some places like Dearborn being majority Muslim. Arabic language presence is a result of that.
French Creole, or rather, Haitian Kreyol as it really should be called, is the direct result of Florida being nearby to Haiti and the massive amount of instability, poverty, and violence in Haiti over the last century. Like Cubans, it was easier for them to get to Florida to seek Asylum and a lot laid down roots.
Italian, Portuguese, French, Polish, and German are all remnants of 1800s migrations, in large part because those states had overwhelmingly massive numbers of people from those countries in those states, though it should be said that most of those languages are very small minorities nowadays largely upheld by very conservative communities like the Amish for German.
I feel like the Native Languages should be pretty obvious, and I've got 0 idea about the Russians in Oregon.

In Europa there are many separate but very similar languages that you could consider some Form of Dutch and German.
      -belgium german
      - Dutch from the netherlands
      -Swiss german from switzerland
      -german from germany
      -austrian german aka. Austrian
All of These are very similar but separate languages.
If you say "german" in german you say "deutsch" wich sounds very close to "dutch".
In the US Over a long time and a lot of different german languages These separate languages melted into some rare languages of themselfs that are also considerer "deutsch" and/or "dutch".
I can understand 85% of the PD (Pennsylvania dutch) as a native German. thats also the case with the Netherlands dutch. But there is also the Pennsylvania Deutsch, very similar but not the same and i can also understand most of it.
Thats why you can consider that separate languages as "deutsch" and why german is one of the Dominant language in most of the US exept for english and spanish.

Weed is decriminalised the netherlands and most EU countrys have a minimum amount for self consumption where you get off with no charges.
Not to mention that if it is legal in other countrys; it is legal. This is not the case in the US where legal sellers of weed in states where the growing and selling is regulated used to not be able to open Bank accounts because on a federal level weed is still illegal.
That includes taxes, the seller sometimes had to pay double taxes.
In germany it is partially legal (in the process of fully legalizing), in Kanada it is legal, including Luxembourg and Malta.
      Why is weed illegal anyway?

But if you really must know the older people who live in the backwoods tend to use words from those languages. Because they were taught to speak by family members who spoke a form of those langues.
